Reviews Asada

I love any food that breaks with tradition, creating something original with the finest ingredients. Having said that, Asada was the best place my wife and I could have stopped. From the friendly service we received by the lady behind the counter, the lady drop of salsa verde, our experience was a wonderful one. We went based on nearly all five star reviews on Google, but the selling point was the website description of Latin American food with something for everyone sounded great enough to visit. In addition they have been influenced by the Mission District Mexican food scene (particularly La Taqueria, which we have both been to and loved). We were greeted by a unique menu of specials that included traditional type Mexican food with many twists. My wife judges a place by the burrito and she wasn't disappointed. The burrito had great ingredients which need no fillers, just fine individual tastes that combine to make a wonderful marriage in a tortilla. I wanted to try everything, but settled for the Chicken Karaage Taco, Bolitos De Yuca Con Queso, and the Ampanadas. To spare the reader detail, I'll explain at the bottom, but in summary it was all different and wonderful. As we were looking at the menu several people essentially said, "you're traveling? Wow...you definitely found the best place in Greenville." After we enjoyed our meal, we were preparing to walk out but the owner and founder, Roberto, asked us how everything was. He was very complimentary for our feedback and was such a humble person to speak with. He has always enjoyed blending cultures in his food. I knew this wasn't just an enjoyment for him but for anyone else as the Japanese style fried chicken on my taco exclaimed loudly. Portions were perfect and you cannot beat the price. If you're visiting this city, you must stop here and try anything. We are going to try to make it our final meal in Greenville. Thank you, Asada! The Chicken Karaange Taco had Japanese style fried chicken with a Latin American style slaw. By themselves each was full of flavor, and they come with tons of each, so that my two corn tortillas couldn't fit it all, which meant I got to enjoy the rest with a fork. The Bolitas De Yuca were very hot (temp) and the potatoes inside were delicious, but the Peruvian sauce on the side was the best part. It made a perfect spicy dip for the whole thing. The Ampanadas were Argentinian style dough and were filled with guava and creme cheese. An extremely sweet dish with the slightest spice and perfect texture. I loved each piece of each food!

There is not one thing on their menu that isn’t amazing. The fresh ingredients, generous portions, and scratch-made menu make them stand out from many of the other restaurant choices in this city.

Hands down amazing! Tropical Sangria was great and I usually don’t like Sangrias. Mouth watering breakfast burritos. The slaw that comes on the taquito’s… flawless victory!! Going back for dinner. Thank you so much for making my trip to Greenville worth every penny.

When we moved here a year ago this was the IT place. We never made the time to stop by until my in laws were in town last month. Why did I wait so long?! It is worth all the hype. Good sized portions and delicious fresh ingredients. We tried the Arepa Rellena and Potato & Leek Sopes from the specials menu.

We had the asada burritos, taquitos, and shrimp tacos with mole. OMG! Everything was amazing! Salsa was salted and limed to perfection and the meat was seasoned so well. Burritos were as big as your face. The lime cilantro rice in the burrito was perfect. We even had dessert! So good! We look forward to returning here again!

Once again, Asada comes thru as "consistently consistent" clean good eats. Delicious, filling, creative and incredibly appealing. I love bringing family and friends here as there is never a bad meal. They also let you know if something is too spicy to not ruin a good plate for someone new. Many future returns to Asada for this guy. Love this place!❤️. P.S Sangria goes well with everything!

Hidden gem in Greenville. Latin American cuisine, sometimes fused with Japanese influences. Truly unique and exceptional. Try the bolitas de yuca con queso to start with. Get pretty much anything. Then finish with a guava and cheese empanada.
