By far the best BBQ around. Everything from the brisket to the jalapeno cheese grits are outstanding, I live 40 minutes away and make special trips on the weekend just to eat here, it's an experience.
Ernie's Barbecue is a tradition in Greenville Texas pretty much just because it has been around for so long. That being said, it's pretty good. I have not eaten there that often over the years, but when I have it's been pretty good. Typical barbecue fare. Better than Dickies bbq, but not as good as Hutchins in McKinney. A real downside is that the place is tiny, so good luck getting a seat if they are busy.
Very relaxed atmosphere. Not a nice date night place but the food is delicious! The meat was tender and full of flavor. The fries were fresh cut, homemade potato salad and beans. We loved it and well be back next time we drive through town.
