Too Salty. We were promptly greeted when we arrived and shown to our table (we had reservations). Staff were nice and knowledgeable. We each started with a Prosciutto di Parma salad. It was very good. For my entree, I chose the Ricotta Cavatelli (which was highly recommended by our server). I found my entree very rich AND WAY TOO SALTY. I could not finish it. We finished with a Blueberry and Mascarpone Crespella for dessert. It was described as being a crepe BUT is was so dense. Flavorful but too heavy. The noise level in the restaurant was on the high side. It was hard to carry on a conversation.

In agreement. I agree with one of the earlier review that the good was good, but the service was not up to par.

My last venture for 5280 Restaurant Week was a newer restaurant over on my side of town - The Wooden Table . Opened back at the beginning of December, one of the owners just happens to have cooked at two restaurants under one of my favorite restauranteers (shocker here), Frank Bonanno. I was incredibly excited after reading this, but less than thrilled after viewing the 5280 menu and not really finding anything that jumped out at me. But with less than a half an hour until our reservation, I was kind of locked in. So why not make the best of it. I think my pessimisticness actually helped me immensely, as I was surprised with each bite and found the food to be incredible. I walked in the restaurant not expecting much and left with a full belly and a big smile on my face. Our meal started off with the Agnolotti with Lamb Sausage . The agnolotti was perfect stuffed with goat cheese. The tartness of the goat cheese was an outstanding companion for the saltiness and fattiness of the sausage
One of the best meals I've had in Denver in quite a while, and of all places hidden in the 'burbs. Stellar.
Great northern Italian food. It has urban sophistication in the suburbs, thereby avoiding the hassles of downtown (traffic, parking, etc.). They offer a great selection of house-made pastas available as a main or side dish. Also good meat and seafood dishes. We came here for a business meeting, letting the server know that was our purpose. He gave us space to have conversation while providing unobtrusive service. I've been coming here for years and always leave wondering why I don't visit more often.
I went here the other night with my boyfriend and wasn't disappointed. It had a great ambiance and the staff were amazing. He got the lamb appetizer and I the goat cheese cheese spinach salad with strawberries both of which were delicious. He then ordered the venison Bolognese and I the rabbit. Mine was a little on the spicy side but he thoroughly enjoyed his pasta. After that, he ordered the Veal and I the Scallops. Now both were delicious however the scallops were JUST A BIT salty so I didn't finish it. Honestly I doubt that happens often. It was overall a great experience and I'd go again... even though it was a bit pricey.
My wife and I had an excellent meal at this delightful spot. The wine list was excellent, the food was very good and the service was impeccable. Only issue of the entire evening was a mechanical problem with our table which was attended to quickly and professionally. We had a course from each section of the menu; appetizer, pasta, entree, and dessert. If you have the desire to treat yourself (and really, it is NOT crazy expensive) you should give it a shot. Best dish of the meal, by far, was the tortolioni. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely one of our favorite places in town. Never disappoints. Their pasta dishes are so interestingly composed and always tasty. The pasta itself is made there or purchased but always fresh and perfectly prepared. The Veal Bolognese is their stalwart and I compare every other restaurants to theirs, still the best.
Delicious food but a bit lacking in service. It took us 11 minutes to be greeted (we happened to know what time we walked in, so we were able to time it), which is extremely off putting, especially when the manager and other servers are spending their time bussing tables instead of getting us water. I appreciate restaurants where all of the servers pitch in if another is busy, but this is not a place like that. When we finally got going, the meal was fantastic - the mussels appetizer was a huge portion and the broth was absolutely delicious - our server brought us extra bread to soak in it because we couldn't get enough. We got the tagliatelle and the scallops, and both dishes hit the mark completely. Loved every bite of them. The homemade pasta was cooked perfectly and the shrimp cake under the scallops was perfect. The experience seemed redeemed... Except for one final remark from the server. We used our dining out passport, which deducts an entree from the bill. In apparent fear that we wouldn't understand to tip on the full amount, the server told us that she printed out the original receipt in case we "needed help with our math." I was in the restaurant industry for 10 years. I don't need "help with my math." A bit crass.
I got a Groupon for here for a four course meal and it was excellent. The appetizer portion of mussel was huge and the sauce was so good I wanted to drink it. The salads were fresh and tasty, and the scallops were perfectly cooked. The drinks were good too. Nice place for a romantic date.
