The service was good. It atmosphere was nice. The local beer selection was pretty good. The pizza was not good. The crust is similar to a saltine cracker. My husband got the Slaughterhouse 5. It had plenty of meat. I got the Thai Chicken. It was supposed to have a "sweet spicy peanut sauce". It was sweet. I detected no peanut or spice. Very disappointing. Will not return. Brought the leftovers home and my 16 year old daughter tried both and said "this is bad".

Being recent migrants from Chicago, we have found it difficult to find decent pizza. Until we ordered from Jockamo today. Sausage, mushroom, and green pepper. Would easily pass in any Chicago neighborhood or suburb for quality of thin crust. Will definitely be coming back.

😠phenomenal pizza, we ordered gf with vegan cheese before from here on a slow weekday, the pizza was average and didn't think about it again for MONTHS. We were craving pizza last night (Friday) and gave it another shot. Gluten free vegan pizza with veggies and a side of bay seasoning. I literally ate the whole pizza standing because I didn't want to waste any time walking 2 feet to get a plate. It was SO ON POINT DELICIOUS. One of my best experiences ordering gf, vegan food. The worker was helpful and kind over the phone. Well worth the hour delivery wait. They must have their front pizza line workers on the weekends!! Thank you so much!

The service was fine, a couple issues but totally nothing unusual for food service. The pizza is excellent. They have such a wide array of options for pizza and the specialty pizzas are great as well. I appreciate all the gluten free and vegan options as well, more inclusion of that stuff is always a great thing in my eyes. At the end of the day, it’s great pizza!

I wanted to try something new so I ordered the Reubano sandwich. It comes with a choice if salad. I wasn't expecting the spinach salad to delight me like it did. The bacon was crispy, fresh spinach, fresh sliced mushrooms, egg crumbles and an amazing warm dressing. Wow
Even that didn't prepare me for the outstanding flavor party the Reubano brought to my mouth. Layers of interesting flavors that only seemed to make me hungrier for the next bite; smokey meat topped with melted cheese, tangy sauerkraut all tucked in a soft and chewy pretzel bun and escorted with 1000 island dressing. I usually don't finish a be sandwich but I devoured this incredible treat. I will definitely be back for more.

Just got our first pizza from Jockamo’s. After hearing a lot of hype about it and having a few slices from events, we decided to get a pizza from here. The pizza it’s self isn’t bad. I’m just hoping that if we decide to order from here again that we don’t get a pizza that is burnt again. The crust and bottom was pretty bad. Kind of took some of the flavor out of it. We usually try a second time so I hope it’s better.

Saw an ad and wondered if this was "just another pizza place." The answer is NO! We went after seeing a concert in Greenwood and it was after 9pm when we arrived. Quickly seated, took our drink order, food arrived (huge selection by the way) extremely fast and it was beyond delish. Even placed an order for a pizza to go and it was ready right when we were ready to go. Wait staff was top notch, prices were comparable, place was clean, restrooms were clean, art is a fun plus and they promote other local businesses. We will be back!

Thank you Jockamo's for a great experience. Thirteen of us dined in last night after a youth baseball game. Our waitress and the rest of your staff were great dealing with multiple orders and kids and adults sitting everywhere. The pizza is great, and the friendliness of your staff is top notch! It was getting close to closing time and they had every right to be annoyed by our large group, but they all acted as if they just came on shift. Highly recommend Jockamo's!!!

Yum!! We ordered 8 different specialty pizzas and they were all delicious! One of the biggest hits was the Pomodoro. We also ordered a party-sized house salad, which was great, and breadsticks, which were just ok (the dipping sauces were great though!). We did have a little hiccup, but it was promptly resolved by the manager on duty (Alex, I believe). When we picked up our order we were accidentally given someone else’s small salad instead of our salad dressing and dipping sauces. Didn’t realize until we got to our destination, but Alex immediately offered to bring the missing items to us and did so quickly!

Eat This Pizza!. I have been here several times in the past couple of years and have always enjoyed it the pizza is terrific and they recently were named the best pizza in Indiana by thrillist.com. The restaurant ambiance is pretty basic but the food and service are great. They serve beer and wine and have a bar area. The lunch special is great, $5 for a big slice of pizza, a salad and a drink. Wow! Tuesday is 1/2 price bottles of wine day. They also have a bunch of different beers. This is our go-to place for pizza.

Rude staff, rude manager, pizza just OK. Absolutely the worst customer service I have got in last year.<br/>I walked in and asked about the lunch special. They showed me the lunch menu and I ordered. Then I asked to sit down and they were surprised because they thought I ordered to go. I said I wanted to dine in and they said OK. <br/>20 minutes later still had not got my slice and a guy comes out screaming at me that I can't eat my pizza there if I ordered it to go. I calmly explained that I told them that I wanted to dine in, but he just kept screaming at me. He said that since I ordered at the counter, that I couldn't dine in. He kept yelling about policy. I tried to tell him that they never asked me if I wanted to dine in. He called me a liar. <br/>He totally embarrassed me in front of the whole lunch crowd, he said he hoped that I would never come back, he was swearing and being completely unprofessional.<br/><br/>DO NOT GO HERE!<br/><br/>I got my pizza and it was UPSIDEDOWN!<br/><br/>Never seen customer service like this.

Good pizza but.... We have been there several times. Most of the time, the service is fine but a few times we've had to wait for a server and it was times when they were not busy. Pizza has always been good and usually hot. The boys who help the servers are always spot on. What bothers me is that I have heard (and one time is fact) that they aren't always good to their employees and have let people go for questionable reasons which makes me now not want to frequent their eatery so I am going to Pasquale's now.

So many pizza's to choose from. I had never been to Jockamo's or heard of one before. But upon looking at their website, I was very excited to see the almost endless amounts of specialty pizza's they offered; my wife was too. So we ordered up our odd pizzas, namely a Thai Chicken Pizza (think peanut butter sauce) and a pizza with Etoufe as a sauce, and got them in 12" sizes. <br/><br/>As I went to pick them up (on a Thursday night), I was getting pretty upset at the amount of traffic to get to this place. Then it became apparent what happens every (I think) Thursday night across the road, a classic car show. And a pretty big one at that. Judging by the cars I saw, I could tell each owner there had very tight fitting pants if you know what I mean.<br/><br/>Anyway, the place was packed to the gills with people. For a restaurant that is housed in the bottom part of a building complex inhabited by at least 4 other businesses, I was surprised to find that maximum occupancy was listed at 299 people. That's huge!<br/><br/>So I paid for my pizza's and took them home where my wife quickly ruled this place as "just like a California Pizza Kitchen." I thought about it and she was absolutely right. The pizza tasted a little too refined, if you know what I mean. I'm talking the crust looks like it was shaped by a perfect circular crust making machine and the toppings were all evenly spaced. Hell, the slices were all the same size! <br/><br/>So although I enjoyed the unique flavors of the pizza, I decided that everything interesting about this place makes it somewhat uninteresting and pedestrian. It's like finally going out on a date with that one super hot person from the opposite sex that is perfect in every regard, and then for whatever reason you don't like them as much anymore because they're TOO perfect.

Never Disappoints. What a great addition to old town Greenwood. We've had great service here for carryout, dine in, and delivery. Everything has great flavor, the sticks, pizza, sauces, salads, desserts etc. My favorite topping is their ricotta cheese!! We have tried several of their specialty pizzas and all are packed full of flavor. My hubs favorite is the Slaughterhouse 5 with fresh jalapenos added.

Quality. I have enjoyed most of the pizzas I have had from here, and you can tell that this restaurant really cares for the quality of ingredients. The Thai Chicken pizza is amazing if you don't mind a little heat. I can order half-and-half specialties when my carnivore DH "needs" a Slaughterhouse Five, and those two can co-exist on one pizza side-by-side pretty well. Any restaurant that serves Sprecher's soda gets an extra thumbs up from me.

Just OK. Visited Jockamo's for the first time and ordered a pizza. It was a saturday lunchtime, not very busy. Pizza took what seemed like a long time to arrive and when it arrived it was just luke-warm, like it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while, not just out of the oven. The toppings were very good and they were not skimpy. The crust reminded me of premade crust that comes frozen in a box although it appeared they were using fresh dough when I looked into the kitchen?? The sauce was kind of bland, couldn't really taste the tomato flavor. Thought that $10.50 was kind of high for a 10" pizza. Staff was friendly. Bottom line, not a bad experience, but could be improved.

Terrible Employees/Manager. I ordered carry out and when I arrived there were five people standing behind the counter. Two of them made eye contact with me one of which walked off and the other, a brunette female, turned around and yelled into the kitchen "Hope y'all happy I'm not getting any tips tonight." Just then a gentleman with a blue bandana walks up behind the counter and softly asks what he can do for me. I tell him I'm here for a carryout order. He looks up the cost, tells me, takes my card, turns around to get my order and it's not ready. He hands the card back to me and tells me it'll be a little bit longer. No problem, I sit down on the bench. Since I didn't receive a receipt, I begin to look up my bank activity on my phone. Before I get a chance to see if my card has been ran, a young lady hands me my order and tells me to have a great night. I get in my car and pull away. At the stop sign at Madison, I see the blue bandanna I gave my card to running up to my car. I roll my window down, but he just goes to the back and writes my license plate down. I yell to him asking him what's going on. He yells at me "You're not going to pay for your pie?" I tell him i gave him my card and he gave it back to me. He says he didn't take my card. I tell him to hold on and I drive out onto Madison and turn around in a parking lot. Upon arrival again, I see all of the wait staff waiting outside the door looking at me. A couple dining outside jokingly ask me if I tried to stiff the pizza guy. I tell them what happen. I walk in and immediately ask blue bandanna for a manager. He says "what?" I say, "A supervisor, I'd like to speak with a supervisor." He says he is the supervisor. I really hope he was lying, because he saw the brunette server yelling into the kitchen at the line cooks and didn't do a single thing to either reprimand her or help the line cooks. I ask if they had attempted to call the number I had given when calling in the order. They say no. My card didn't get ran properly. I gave him my card. He runs it without saying a word. I sign it. No apology leaves anyone's lips. I tell him to have a wonderful night and leave. At home, the ranch for the bread sticks had opened up and covered the all of them. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant.

Best pizza on the south side of Indy!. Love the pizza here. We've tried all the pizzas on the menu. Like some better than others but quality is always good. Spinach salad is great. We get that nearly every visit. Wee Mac on tap and they serve half pints of on tap beers. Service has always been good, too. Excellent choice for a family dinner out.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!. A week ago, I was at Jockamo pizza in Greenwood with some friends. We arrived there at 9:55 PM, having based our arrival on having seen online that they close at 10:30. They were rude about the fact we were coming in, they even had to set chairs back down off tables for us and another group of people behind us. One of us asked for a side of ranch and the waitress "had to see if they had some left" because it was put up for the night. Then, as she walks away, the same person asked if they'd closed early and the waitress merely puts up a "hold one minute" finger. And to top it off, after sending in a complaint to Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza, NO ONE responded to our complaint. So, if you're ever thinking of going to the Greenwood Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza, don't!

Something's changed. For quite a while Jockamo's was the only pizza I wanted to eat. The gluten-free crust made the best pizzas I've ever had, ever, anywhere, buttery and crunchy. And I've never had a problem with cross contamination. I don't know if they've got someone new making the pizzas, or what. But the last couple haven't been very good. The proportions are off. They've started piling on the toppings, so the crust doesn't cook through. The center was soggy (and with a gf crust, that means grainy, too). And I think the sauce is different, because that was pretty much all I could taste. The last two I've purchased were like eating cardboard dipped in tomato sauce (and my husband said the same about his non-gf pizza). I feel kind of loyal, because the pizzas used to be so good, and someone I talked to at the store made it sound like they really went out of their way to make a good gf pizza. But I'm not sure I'm going to go back.

Great Place!. I have been here many, many times and this place seems to get better every time. The bread sticks and creamy parmesan sauce are the best ever. The pie is the BEST in the area. The crust does not overtake this pizza place and the toppings are what you taste.. We will keep going here until they throw us out and make us leave!

Great!. We had a Living Social deal for $10 off at Jockamo, so we went last night. <br/><br/>The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, I don't know why some places just feel great inside and others don't, but this definitely does.<br/><br/>They were moderately busy - the patio outside was full up, but we don't eat outside anyway. We were greeted and shown to a table almost immediately. We were given menus to peruse, and then a few minutes passed (more than I would have liked) before someone came to take our drink order.<br/><br/>We got our drinks - the waitress remembered that my husband ordered extra lemon in his iced tea. We ordered a Maui pizza and the waitress let us substitute extra cheese for the green pepper, which I thought was great.<br/><br/>Our drinks were refilled in a very timely manner as we waited for our pizza. The wait time was perfect - not so short that we might've thought it had been pre-made and then topped - but not so long that we got bored and overly hungry.<br/><br/>The pizza was GREAT. I really liked the crust - not too thick, not too thin. It was thinner rather than thicker, so if someone is a fan of deep-dish or thick pizza, they might not like this pizza too much. But we loved it. It had a nice mix of flavors - ham, pineapple, bacon bits, onion, whatever else it was. It was so good we finished it.<br/><br/>The best part of all - our bill came and they had given us the ENTIRE BILL except for the tax ($1.30) even though the Living Social deal was only for $10 off! It would've been almost $17 without the coupon. So we were very impressed, and left a good tip.<br/><br/>We will be back again!

Great Night. Planned a family reunion here and everyone loved the pizza. My niece and husband came for the reunion. They really appreicated that they offered gluten free pizza at no extra costs. The manager was so nice and our server was really great.<br/>We had 7 at our table and our bill was 62.00 that included drinks. So I was very happy with that. I coudn't have feed that many people at Olive Garden. And we all left happy with our meal. So thank you to the staff at Jockamos' I will recommend it to anyone wanting to have a special place for any kind of celebration.

Absolutely love Jockamo. Def one of my all-time favorite pizza places. I'm a specialty pizza connoisseur, and with their wide variety of toppings and sauces, if you can imagine it, you can build it there. I typically build a pizza with the creamy parmesan as the base, then throw on chicken, bacon, and red peppers and it's a party in my mouth!!

Fantastic pizza with a great atmosphere. I'll be the first to admit that this place can be somewhat hit or miss on service, but come on: this place is always hopping during peak hours, and if people get behind, it's not because they're standing around doing nothing. The servers have always been friendly and courteous, willing to suggest toppings or a beer from their amazing selection of microbrews. <br/><br/>In terms of their pizza, I have pretty much always gotten the Greek with sausage, and it never let me down. Very fresh and just the right amount of flaky crust, the sauce is superb and very tangy, and they do not skimp on the toppings. It's almost impossible not to walk away full (normally with some leftovers, too).<br/><br/>This place gets a huge thumbs up, as they have friendly staff and food that is absolutely out of this world. Jockamo's is certainly upper crust!

We have ordered carry-out pizza from Jockamo two times. Both times we have been happy with the pizza. This second experience with the counter service was really awful. I had purchased two coupons off Living Social and wanted to use them. The girl called her manager over to help. He told me I could only use one per ticket. I asked if we could split the ticket into two? He responded with several huffs and proceeded to split my order into two. He didn't talk to me the rest of the time it took to finish the transaction. Not one word. I'm glad he let me use them both tonight because I won't be going back.

UpdAted review: if you look at my march 2012 review, we use to love this place! Now I don't care if we ever go back! I'll do takeout b/c food is awesome! The service our last two times was horrendous! I believe it was the same male server . Not rude but NOT friendly, mumbles a lot, very apathetic. This last time he did not check on us once after food came out. Once we were done eating, we waited over 20mins for him before we asked a busboy toget our server. I am generous tipper especially when service is good! But I left 10% and the only reason I didn't leave 0% was b/c I know the busboys get part of those tips and it wasn't fair to stiff the only ones who actually were working (they filled water brough out our food, etc)<br/><br/><br/>-----09 Mar, 2012-----<br/><br/>. We had great service, everyone was very friendly & our drinks were filled frequently. My 9 yr old son, who is quite the foodie, stated his shrimp po' boy pizza was the best pizza he's ever had. Awesome Pizza!. My husband and I have been looking for a place to get good pizza in the area for the last 6 years. Our search is over! I love the pizza there. It reminds me of pizza you can get in NW Indiana and in Chicago. The service has been wonderful each time I go. They also have a good selection of micro brew beers from Indiana. This is the only pizza place we go to now!

I love Jockamo's, they have some of the best pizza here in greenwood. BUT, they do not deliver anywhere east of 65, I live less than a half a mile from 65 in an apartment complex. And when I called to see if they delivered I was spoken down to. So we have been ordering from Jet's pizza, which delivers all the way from 135. I tell everyone I know not to even go to Jockamo's, since I have had horrible service almost everytime. Get it together Jockamo's, you're missing some great customers from one of the biggest apartment complexes in greenwood.

Pizza? What pizza? We were seated given menus and didn't see anyone for 15 minutes. Before we left my son says I bet they say thanks for coming when we leave. Guess what they sure did! Ha I said we were never served. Piss poor service.

The REST of the menu:. OK...To say that their pizza is awesome is a no-brainer. But the rest of the menu is unique and tasty as well.<br/><br/>My aunt had been telling me that her fav pizza is this 'Jockamos'...but it was up in Irvington. I'm thinking, "Well, bring a pie down sometime and I might try it", coz I probably ain't gonna drive up there to blindly try some pizza. Then, a good friend, who runs a business in Greenwood calls me one day and she says, "Let's go to lunch, Jockamos just opened across the street from the shop" Great!<br/><br/>As another reviewer stated, from the moment I walked in, I knew this was gonna be a great dining experience. Clean, nice art on the walls, great color scheme, unique angles designed into the floor plan, etc.<br/><br/>We shared a Hummus Plate. Had never tried that one but now I'm glad I did. It was excellent. Ordered the Slaughterhouse Five pie (all meats, a real heart stopper). The pie had a nice mixture of toppings & cheese, but the crust. Wow! Imagine a pizza baked on a huge Ritz cracker. That's kinda what the crust is like. And you can just tell that everything is fresh.<br/><br/>The rest of the menu: She called again yesterday, same deal. Lunch. When I got there she was already eating a beautiful salad. All of the usual salad ingredients piled into one solid leaf of Romaine. I think it had some bacon & Gogonzola on it also. She gave me a bite. Yum. We each ordered a sandwich and shared half. I got the California roll: Lump crab meat, spinach, cucumbers, avocado, peppadew peppers, mayo, with a side of house vinaigrette. Outstanding! She had the Italian Beef with Mozzarella, peppadew peppers, red onion, green peppers, and a side of balsamic vinaigrette. Delish!<br/><br/>One of the managers came in and had just gotten a package from California from a friend/baker with three slices of an "adult" dessert that she overnighted to him. Chocolate Guinness brownie something cake with a Baileys buttercream icing on top. He slid a slice down the bar to Joyce & myself. I normally don't do dessert, but wow! It will be on the menu soon. I went home and took a nap. ;-)<br/><br/>I've rambled on long enough. You get the point. Just go. You will not be disappointed.

First Timer. I had the Ship Wreck Pizza with Bread Sticks and Supposed to be Alfredo Sauce. Loved the Ship Wreck Pizza how ever be warned there pizza's are on the small side. I got the Medium and it was only 10 inch. Also found out when got the pizza that it came on close to a then crust. The crust was good but I wish I had been given the option to pick what type of crust I wanted. <br/><br/>I also had requested the Alfredo dipping sauce instead I got some Mayonnaise based Parmesan dipping sauce. It was OK but wish I had got the Alfredo sauce I requested<br/><br/>I will go back I will just know in the future to check everything like a Hawk

Simply Amazing!. I've been to Jockamo Greenwood a few times. It is maybe the best pizza I've ever had. The margarita tastes most like what I've had in Italy...I've been looking all over for that taste! Also the bbq pizza is a pizza made to perfection! I love it! Not to mention the crust is amazing. The service is great, everyone is super nice even though most times I'm in there they are beyond busy. There is one server, dark hair, blue eyes, I've seen him wear those toe tennis shoes. If anyone knows who I am talking about, please tell him I would love to date him. And that's all, great place, I would recommend this to anyone!

Amazing addition to Greenwood!. I live in Irvington and frequent that location regularly since it opened. Now, this location opened not 5 minutes from my work!!! OMG- nothing like death by breadsticks, salads & awesome pizzas, too? Not only have they done a fabulous job with the location, but the service is outstanding also. Ashleigh did a great job & we will all be asking for her attentive eye again and again.

Creative Pizza. Great pizza. Try the Cheese Louise or make your own 8" combos from an extensive list of toppings. The gorganzola salad dressing is yummy. Crowded nights do seem to overwhelm the staff a bit.

Go Elsewhere. We visited Jockamo this evening 7/24 and were overall not impressed. It was hot outside, but I expected that if we were to go to McDonald's, Applebee's, or any other popular eatery, it would be cool inside. The overall quality of the pizza was not very good. BJ's, Barlo's, Pizzeria Uno, and other pizza eateries have far superior product and quality. The service was horrible. Our server was nowhere to be found and we almost got up and walked out. Disinterested staff that seem to not want to be there and messed up our order. If things don't improve, I don't see this restaurant lasting very long. It is not in a very good location and depends upon word of mouth,

Mediocre Food, Horrible Service. It took 10 minutes to get our drink orders and another 10 to get our actual drinks--which were incorrect. Another 10 minutes to get our food order and then 20 minutes to get our actual food--well, some of it (we had to go to the front and ask for the rest). The pizza wasn't anything I couldn't buy from a grocery store freezer and bake myself. Jockamo Pizza is simply a poorly-executed version of the WONDERFUL Bazbeaux's Pizza of Indianapolis.

Wonderful!. I love this place, and my family and I eat here often. The pizza is simply fantastic, and it's a really great atmosphere for all types; families with kids, young people, etc. The food is very quality, and is always hot and exactly the way we ordered it. My only complaint would be there seems to be a very high turnover of servers, as there is a totally different waitstaff in there each time we go in (about 1-2 times a month). I don't mind new faces, but they do need to educate their new servers more about the menu.

This place is 100% win! They have a great menu with lots of choices. Its not just standard pizza fare but they have that too if that's what you are into. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and prices are just right for what it is.

Creative and Delicious!. I really enjoy their pizza creativity and a majority of products (even dips and dressings) are homemade. If you go there, the Chicken Pesto pizza is out of this world.<br/><br/>I can understand on some complaints of the delivery stipulations. I have been to their store, and I enjoy it, but I would like if they had a better delivery coverage area. I am RIGHT outside the zone and it bums me out. Sometimes me and my wife want their pizza but don't feel of making a night out of it. But I understand their stance as well. If they feel that way about their store and pizza freshness, then cut delivery out altogether.<br/><br/>Either way, great pizza and a problem that is easy overlooking.

Excellent pizza & atmosphere!. We went to Jockamo Upper Crust for the first time tonight and it WON'T be our last! As soon as you walk in, you notice the big dining area contemporarily decorated. Art hangs on the walls, some of which is for sale. We got some breadsticks and some parmesan cheese sauce- this sauce is my first recommendation. The breadsticks are some of the best I've ever had; hot, fresh, and lightly seasoned. We got the Slaughter House Five pizza, which has five kinds of meat on it. In a word, AWESOME. The crust was thin with ample amounts of cheese and meat. They have salads and sandwiches as well, which none of us had. The restaurant, including the restrooms, was clean. There is also an outside seating area. Due to the heft of this 16" pizza, we took part of it home with us. There is a reason this place ranks high on Urbanspoon. If you like pizza, you'll love Jockamo Upper Crust.

Refreshing 1st Impression. Being that there are no less than 2 pizza places on every corner, there has to be something special or at least different, to stand out in the pizza biz! When I was told that there was another pizza joint on the south side, I was less than thrilled, but the second I walked in the door to Jockamo, my mind started to change. My immediate first impression was mild shock. The restaurant, remember it's a pizza place, was modern, clean, and inviting! Stained concrete floors, modern artwork on the walls, solid glass front wall, and more! The overall look was very relaxed classy, and I liked it! As for the Pizza, and let me explain, for my first visit I had no apps, no salads, no desserts, nope I didn't even drink a soda, just water. All I wanted to sample was what this pizza place was there to sell. PIZZA. Some of my closest friends with me, young and older alike, we ordered three pizzas. The fact that you can order pizzas in 3 sizes makes it much easier to sample many house specialties! All three came at the same time around the 20 minute mark, not a bad ticket time at all, for the quality of the pies that we were served. First was their version of a classical Margharita pizza. It looked different than what I expected, but Wow, the garlic, the basil, incredible. We then dove into the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo pie. A pizza that I have had before, made before, and didn't think could get much better, but sadly I was wrong, Jockamos recipe was very good, but it was the crust that put their chicken Alfredo pie over the top. Very crispy, but at the same time chewy in the center. Their crust could win awards. Finally we started into the Meatball pizza. Now I have to admit that one of my friends ordered this pie with no peppers, but added pepperoni, against my wishes. I like to try a restaurants food as the Chef intended it to be eaten, But when I took my first bite, I lost all my ill feelings! Even a pizza as simple as meatball was somehow elevated to another level. I'm not sure if it's the sauce, the crust, or magic, but I don't care! The pizzas at Jockamo's are awesome. What ever the cooks are doing back there, KEEP DOING IT!!

PIZZA ….. I just love pizza. This week Pat and I decided we needed to try Jockamo ‘s Pizza. They have at least two locations. One on Washington Street in Irvington and one in Greenwood. We decided on the one in Greenwood because that fit in to our beer drinking plans for later. This location is huge. Nicely appointed and decorated and they even have a cute little beer and wine bar nestled in the back corner. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a hostess and what apparently is their monkey mascot. When you first see the little fella you can help but grin. After all, who doesn’t like monkeys . But after editing the picture , the sucker could be a mite scary. But monkeys are all cute even the scary ones. They have a full menu. Big salads , little salads, sandwiches and daily lunch specials.
