Eat here a good bit and it’s always great had the country fried steak today smothered in gravy and it was by far the best I’ve ever had and the portion size is great I highly recommend it.

The Saturday Breakfast was great! I had the catfish and it was seasoned just right. I highly recommend this place. The staff was very helpful and the service was top notch.
My wife and I made the leap to "try out" a local restaurant.
We have found that they are usually the ones with the wonderful surprises and Southern Soul on Main is no different and it turned out to be is one of the best places we have ever eaten. The atmosphere from the first step in the restaurant is pleasantly appealing from the decor of the ceiling fans to the back wall of the counter area.
The food was real, with real down home "Southern" flavor. It wasn't greasy like some "soul food" restaurants.
But it was flavorful like mama used to cook !!
The chicken livers were cooked to perfection with great flavor and the macaroni and cheese was so good too with a wonderful sharp cheddar !! Did I mention the orka??? Amazingly good !!
The ambiance was very relaxing and everyone was very friendly and genuinely glad to be there.
So we made ourselves "at home" too.
Go ahead and try it, if you haven't and you will want to come back again and again !!
We went here for my birthday last week, thoroughly enjoyed our meal! I had previously had lunch here, had chicken- it was great. Their food is seasoned just right, and I thought the portion size is actually too much. We had enough for dinner the next day. You definitely get your money's worth, and the service is very good.
Our waitress was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Looking forward to going there for Thanksgiving- I'm not cooking (woo-hoo)!
Southern Soul On Main is definitely southern soul food. The catfish, mac and cheese and collard greens were awesome. Can't wait to get back to taste other items on the menu. The portions were more than enough.
Fantastic environment. Fantastic service. Everything is on point and what you want from a soul food restaurant. The food is better than grandma makes. I swear!!! The only problem is that you won't be able to decide what to get because it is all too good!!

They are just a walk away from my office. I have walked there pretty regularly now. The food is always hot and fresh taste. Great friendly service every time I visit. The atmosphere will have you tapping your feet to great oldies music while you eat. I highly recommend you stop in when passing through to Greenwood, SC. Desserts are huge and delicious too. Was looking for something in the area and noticed this place had a lot of great reviews. Talk about true soul food, this place makes their food with LOVE! Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. The mac and cheese was my favorite. All of the staff was friendly and smiling despite being very busy. I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy their food more often!
We were in town for the flower festival and decided to have lunch. Friendly staff greeted us and directed us to our table. The buffet was very good. Restaurant was clean and very busy at lunch time. Would definitely recommend to my friends.

We found this place on Google while we were driving through the area and we loved it! We had the Sunday buffet. The chicken was amazing and so was the fried squash and cornbread. We would absolutely go back!
Excellent everything. Mac n cheese to die for. Green beans are amazing, fried chicken, pork chops and ribs as good as any. Ask the guys to arrange a wheelbarrow to get you out!
Staff is friendly, food was great. Clean establishment. Mostly fried food but its southern food so if you choose to go then you can complain. They are one of the few places that have tator tots and corn nuggets. So thats a win for me.
