Our service was incredible... the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Our waitress Kaitlin (spelling?) was so sweet, very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great service. The atmosphere is incredible. Inside is cozy and a great place to watch football. Outside is on the water with hammocks and live music. They have giant jenga too. The menu is incredible!! This place is an all around hidden gem that is well worth it!! We will be back!

Stopped in Orange Beach for the new year, looked for good places to eat and came across this hidden gem. Pleasantly surprised in all levels. The drinks are unique and amazingly good. We had the Irish coffee first because it was cold outside and it was beyond expectations! We had the oysters, ordered 6 plain and 6 with the different sauces they offer. The oysters were great but the ones with the sauces were espectacular, can’t pick a favorite but the one with caviar with a champagne shot and the pickle pear ones were out of this world. We order a fried seafood plate and I can say it is the best fried seafood I ever had, the curly fried potatoes were also unique, crunchy and plain great. We travel from Texas to Georgia every year and look for great food places, this by far is the best yet. Don’t miss this great little place.
The Royal Oyster' s menu stood out as a diversion from the typical raw bar or seafood place. The food was excellent. We enjoyed three oyster varieties, some topped their way and some with our own hot sauce, horseradish concoction but all were fresh and delicious. The fried brussels were a great accompaniment with the oysters. We finished with a shared tender steak sandwich and sindewinders (curly fry meets steak fry). The honey ginger mule was a lovely cocktail, not too sweet accented with mint grown outside the door. We can't wait to go back.
What I think about the Royal Oyster..... I've been coming to the area for years and have never made so many trips 'back' to the same place to eat. Marissa and her staff have something to be proud of. Craft beer, cocktails, chef specials and menu items, not to mention the location and the daily oysters. What a gem...love the place. You will not be disappointed..promise!
Been to several places in gulf shores. This is the best place by far! Amazing oysters, and fish sandwich was top notch! Everything is made in house! Our waitress Landen was AMAZING!
This place is awesome! I can't wait to go back, ready to try everything on the menu. Great service, friendly and knowledgeable. Fresh food, prepared perfectly, best oysters I've ever had and I've been eating on this island for 20 years. I had them prepared six ways and the shellbanks raw. This is what I expect in a restaurant, exceptional experience.
Drinks and food are delicious. Would recommend to everyone and worth the drive over from Orange Beach.

We had a wonderful experience. The oysters were very good. We had fresh and roasted. I personally preferred the roasted but the flavors on all were amazing. This is a small place with indoor/outdoor activities (large jenga and hulla hoops. Unfortunately it was raining when we dined here so we stayed inside. The best part for me was that it isn’t smothered with tourists. We had a party of 10 and were seated quickly. Definitely should be on a must see if you enjoy great food and amazing flavors!

This place pays attention to detail. They hand make nearly everything "in house." The bartender, Gary, is a creative genius. If you want raw oysters, there is nowhere better on the island to get them.

The best food by far we have had since our arrival to Orange Beach! Excellent oyster selection. Superb sampler lunch w/ oysters, fish, shrimp!! Coming back for dinner tonight.
Don’t judge a book by its cover! This small unassuming spot was an unexpected surprise. I had read some reviews and thought my husband and I would give it a try on cloudy Saturday afternoon. The menu and daily specials were what you would expect to see at an upscale restaurant. We had the Bon Secour oysters which were wonderful. We also had the fried brussel sprouts and crab cake sandwich were delicious. Service was very good too. Would recommend!!
Never, ever disappoints. Gary is genius behind the bar. The food always perfection. Servers fun and attentive. Great place. Great atmosphere.

Visited here while on vacation with my family for lunch. We came around 1:30 on a Wednesday and only one other table was seated. This is a very casual, clean and fun restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in our orders. We started with a flight of raw and roasted oysters that were excellent. I then had the clam and linguine that was excellent. Normally this would have had crab in it but they were out of it. I then had a bushwacker that was strong and excellent. We had a great time here and look forward to coming back.

The Royal Oyster Bar has always been a favorite of mine since they opened... They always have seasonal specials, a rotating craft beer menu, fresh squeezed juices and homemade mixes, and delicious oysters from all over. The service is always fantastic, and you will never come in and not be greeted with a smiling face. Eating at the Royal oyster is an experience in every way, from the beautiful view, the delicious craft cocktails, and the farm to table food. You won't regret stopping in!
I always get the fried crab claws or coconut curried crab claws, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
We come for the drinks but the food is great as well!
They have a full bar with a bunch of different liquors and a lot of oyster options plus a menu with options for non seafood and oyster people.
The drinks are awesome but the live music at the outside seating and oysters is hard to beat! We ordered a flight of cooked oyster and some raw and a couple drinks.
This was a great find for us! Great staff and they do know their oysters! Not only oysters but all the things from the sea. Large selection of refreshments to fill everyone’s needs.
Definitely on our return list.
Best oysters I’ve ever had!!! Shroom Oyster was insane!! Not your typical oyster house...unique oysters that are incredibly delicious l. Great laid back atmosphere. Marisa made us feel at home.
