Was in Illinois for the holiday weekend. Stopped into Gurnee Mills for some shopping and food. Rainforest Cafe did not disappoint. Yes it may be a little pricey, but the food was excellent and so were the wait staff. Will definitely go again and maybe take the grandkids!

We had a great experience. Wednesday night of a very cold April! It wasn’t overly busy but they sat at us a nice booth by the elephants. Our server was fabulous, interacted with the kids, food came quickly and she didn’t forget a thing with our order. Great sized portions. A wonderful experience.

We always visit the Rainforest Cafe in Gurnee, Illinois when we are in the area. Chris, one of the managers has been so kind and helpful to us as we travel the journey to remission of cancer at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion , Illinois. She has been a real top notch uplift to us every time we visit. She is the best and brings a lot of business to this location with her captivating, caring personality.

The food and service was great. They even brought a volcano dessert for my wife’s birthday.

Brought the family here for their first time. My 4 year old liked the atmosphere alot. Maybe a little bit too distracting for him, the service was good, average wait time. Clean facility. Very good Food! Good restaurant overall. Definitely a place to check out if you haven't been to one before.

It is a unique restaurant with its own style. A very cool looking bar. Large aquarium with beautiful fish. Large statutes of animals to pose for pictures.

Food was way better than I expected (I had a burger; my date had salmon. We both agreed it was better than other chains and were really surprised). Frankly if you have a family or are in a long-standing relationship and aren’t coming here you’re dead inside. Who the hell doesn’t like the ambiance here?! Just a lot of fun.

Being gluten free I had a good experience at the Rainforest Cafe. The waitress knew what what was GF. Then the manager, I assume, came out with separate tickets to confirm table allergy for those GF, and reconfirm our order. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and they had a GF bun for that. Perfect. Then instead of frying the fries, they are baked due to cross contamination. Would eat here again. The only negative is the menu is not clearly marked on what is GF and what isn't. There are a few GF options but only one item was marked.

I was a first time customer of Rainforest Cafe and I want to give a big shout out to the manager Lily, she was awesome. She made me feel very welcomed. I will be returning with my family to visit again. The food was excellent and the service was fast. Thank you Rainforest!

Took my daughter here for her Birthday. The food was good but not the best I had. My girls weren’t too fond of their ribs not sure why because I didn’t taste them but they did look delicious. I had a club sandwich and it tasted as good as a club sandwich would anywhere. The cheese dip with meat was delicious and tbh the best we ate that night. The service could’ve been better as the waitress didn’t take her time to explain the price for the lava cake which she said it was free for bday girl only to find out one slice was and she served us the whole $22 cake. The ambiance is definitely worth it in my opinion for kids especially. They would love the sound of thunder and rain and the lights.

Very impressed with the food. I thought it was going to be a gimmicky tourist trap for the kids, but this chicken pasta was cooked to perfection.

I love the place, all the details. The food was average. We sat at the bar and it was nice. Unlike some of the other locations it wasn’t constant noise. But that could be because we were at the bar. But it was fine for what we wanted. The only complaint is how loud they are. But I love how it looks for atmosphere it looks amazing, but again the sound. Definitely recommend if you don’t have a headache and are fine with the loud noise.

I didn’t even realize this place has only three stars until coming to write this review. We had a really great experience! Everyone was super friendly, food was delicious and came out fast, price was high, but what isn’t the closer you get to Chicago? We were pumped for the thunderstorms and got to sit through three of them. Also, we ordered cocktails in the souvenir glass which lets you take the glass home. Can’t quite believe it was only $14 total for the cocktail and glass. Anyway, I’d recommend this place and we’ll definitely go back.

No wait time during lunch at a weekday. Ambiance was good. Food was ok/good. Was hoping to have more selection of food. Service was great.

Rainforest Cafe offers an exciting dining experience for kids (and let's be honest, adults too!) My family absolutely loves the thunderstorms! We stopped in for lunch today, and it wasn't too busy. The food was delicious and our kids enjoyed their visit. The Adventure app was top notch! While it can get pricey ($97!) fast, it is well worth a stop, especially while on vacation! You'll leave with happy kids and full bellies!
