We were at first unsure where the front desk was so we stood there squinting in the dark trying to figure out how to be seated. Eventually we found the desk walking straight down, on the left side. We were then shown to our table. Our server was fantastic. I don't remember her name but she had reddish hair, I believe. I felt really special on my birthday. The lobster ravioli was tasty and the porterhouse was cooked perfectly. They took a photo of us and gave us the print at the end with my customized menu with my name printed on the top! The lava cake took 20 minutes to come out but our server did warn us how long it would take. At first I was confused when she asked if we wanted dessert right when our main and appetizer arrived. I realized when my lava cake arrived why it took so long. It must be made fresh. It was so decadent and chocolately. The vanilla ice cream was the perfect pairing. Our server said it was on the house because it was my birthday! I would recommend this restaurant for a date or any special occasion.

This is semi fancy place. The portions are very large but the food is very delicious. The server was very attentive and kind and gave good suggestions and was not forceful. All the wait staff keep close eye on our table for when we were done with a dish to provide us with new flatware and silverware. The ambience was dark but you could still see the others at the table. The restaurant filled up quick we had a reservation and sat and within 30 min the restaurant was packed with ppl. You will spend $100 plus but it is worth it for the right occasion. The entrance is a little weird from the outside you have to walk up 3 flights. Also most of the dishes they do not allow sharing a plate. They don't really have a steak for two or 3. But the single portion should fill you up.

This past Saturday, my wife and I wanted to have dinner before we heading to see the film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. So we opted to eat at Morton's at Riverside in Hackensack. We called Morton's on our way there to see if a reservation was needed for only the two of us, and after speaking with Don over the phone he explained to us that normally we would need a reservation but at the moment they didn't have any available tables and if we wanted a table our wait time would be at least 3 hours, he also further explained that we can sit by the bar on a "first come first serve" basis, which we opted for the latter. Upon arrival we were greeted by Don, a presentable, nice young man. The place was packed and lively, we were in luck that no sooner we arrived and a couple of bar stools opened up. We sat down, we met two fine bartenders: Georgie & Alex. Both were friendly, courteous and skilled at their craft. For drinks I got me a cocktail called "Island Bessie", my wife doesn't care for alcoholic beverages so she kept her glass of water. I asked Georgie for a couple of cherries for my drink and she obliged, they use real, dark cherries, not the fake maraschino's in a jar. For appetizers we ordered: Grilled Oysters & French Onion soup. My wife's favorite appetizer dish is the French Onion soup and she said that this is the BEST she's ever had, I had a taste and she was absolutely right. The Grilled Oysters were out of this world, bursting with an intense flavor. For entree I opted for the Miso Sea Bass with Bokchoy, she on the other hand wanted meat and got Grilled Prime Pork Chops. Our sides were Spinach with Mushrooms and Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes. We both thought that this is what eating dinner in heaven must be like. What an exquisite & tender Sea Bass, the miso sauce gave it a flavorful touch. The Grilled Chops were so tender, juicy and delectable, the sides were superb! Morton's is an expensive, classy restaurant, but oh its worth it! The service provided by Georgie and Alex was magnificent, they are both phenomenal people. My wife and I agreed that we must return again, well, as soon as I save some money for this luxury. *Edit* Visited Morton's for Valentine's 2022 and it was a magnificent experience yet again. This time we were seated by a friendly young man Marquis we were served by the exemplary and outstanding Justice and Frankie, they were on point and attentive. Kudos to Morton's and its fantastic staff! đź‘Ź

Fine white table cloth dining. You can definitely get a really good steak here without regrets. They have decent prices and great service. I’m going back.

I've heard of Morton in NYC but never got around to visiting. But they opened next to a dinein movie theater on Hackensack. The food in the dine in was meh so we were starving and walked in to eat before a movie. Unfortunately there was no tables available and reservations were full but we were able to sit at the bar if we wanted to. Georgie was our bartender. Helpful and excellent service! Grilled Oysters, French Onion Soup, Prime Pork Chop and Miso Sea Bass, Spinach with Mushroom and Sour Cream Mash. Everything was amazingly delicious! Island Bessie was a fun drink. We were like why is Georgie pouring the drink from a cow shaped gravy boat?! Then it hit us ROFL Cute!
