This is the only vegan option in the Valley. But thankfully it's a good one, run by Seventh Day Adventists. The waitstaff are cheerful and friendly, and the food is consistently well made. For the main course the menu items would be considered, I think, similar to an American style chain such as Chili's or Applebee's, perhaps. Mostly burgers and pizza, but with plant based patties, and cheeses, etc. This is probably why it seems to be popular amongst non-vegans as well. I usually get the Tex-Mex burger which comes with home fries (potatoes), and I've always gotten it with the impossible patty (there's a couple other choices, including a home made black bean version). The smoothies are probably the best in the Valley too, now that Haymarket Cafe has closed .Although too pricey for me to buy very often. Same with the desserts, probably the best option if you don't want to spend a lot is the cupcakes, and they experiment with seasonal flavors too, like the pumpkin spice, for ex. The atmosphere is very nice and spacious with the fireplace and the piano, and is always clean, bathrooms are well maintained, etc. Their pizza oven looks top notch, so I'd like to try more of the pizza items from the menu. I may update this to five stars once I've sampled more of their pizza menu options, but for now I'm giving four stars (mainly due to the menu being mostly your typical American chain restaurant style fare, although in all fairness I'm sure it's much better done at Pulse) This is your only choice if you want vegan in the valley, but luckily it's a good one.

Good, clean, food. The baked good are especially good considering that they are vegan. There are lots of options for folks on special diets. Everything is incredibly fresh. The service has been excellent every time. The food is not fancy. It is well executed hippie food.

This is a nice vegetarian restaurant with meat on the pizzas. The food was delicious and I staff were friendly and professional. Parking is plentiful and accessable for the customers. I am looking forward to going back again soon for more pizza.

Beautiful experience. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Our toddler loved running around the store and seeing the wood fire pizza oven. Large and spacious. Check out this cozy eatery with fire places, a grand piano, and plentiful seating! I’m not vegan, but I loved their fake cheese options and desserts! We’ll visit again!

My first time dining at Pulse Cafe! A friend suggested it for her birthday. It was definitely worth the travel 👍🏾I had one of their flu shots to build my immune system, since I just returned from traveling the week before. Its very clean and spacious, it has a store inside where you can purchase their products. The food was delicious and all plant based. I choose the Southern Comfort bowl (mac n cheese, black eyed peas, soy BBQ drumsticks, cabbage, collard greens) and a Turmeric Latte with Agave nectar. Highly recommended to anyone who is vegan. I am looking forward to visiting again 😊

Great place. First time visitor. Definitely will be back on my way from CT to VT. I can’t say enough about the place. Everything we had was excellent! We tried a few things…..the eggplant calzone was awesome, and so was the Tex Mex burger. We also see shared some dessert. Choc Mousse, almond cookies and a cupcake. All were fabulous! Yea we tried a lot of different things!

If you like bad food and service, don't go here. Because pulse is off-the-charts excellent in food and quality and service. Who knew that plant-based foods could be so good? The desserts are excellent, too, as are the drinks. I only wish they would've let me play the grand piano. That would've made my visit even more 👌! The rhubarb and desserts with mango in them were superb- not too tart or sweet. Even the crusts were good! The kale salad was tender and the dressing was yummy. I tried the tofu-based chicken and waffles and it was also excellent. I think the waffles even had malt in them. Love that flavor. You can even get your groceries here as they have a wide array of food in refrigerator cases. Outdoor dining is also available. I'll be back!

amazing place about 5-10 minutes off of I91 Exit 25 in Hadley MA. Pulse Cafe MA. It’s 100% vegan, has a market with boxed and frozen vegan items along with the restaurant cafe. They have indoor and outdoor dining. You order at the counter and everything is made fresh to order. There are bakery items which are not listed on the menu and juices and smoothies as well. We went on Mother’s Day not the best day to judge a restaurant but this one was running like a well oiled machine. We placed our order to go. I saw they had vegan calzones had to give it a try had the crimini mushroom calzone. Perfectly cooked filled with mushrooms, spinach and wonderful cashew cheese. My husband had the house made black bean burger which comes with a choice of white or sweet roasted potatoes. Absolutely delicious! They offer a choice of three different patties house made black bean, impossible or beyond. I did mention there was a bakery section…the carrot cake was awesome! Not sure how they managed to get that cream cheese like tang in the frosting but they did. We will be back. Great place to stop if you are driving through MA on 91. One caveat they close at three on Fridays and are closed all day on Saturdays.
