I love this place. Ladies behind the bar are great people mix amazing drinks. The food is amazing even something as simple as a burger is top notch. <3

First evening at Fosters & didn’t disappoint! Splendid Tuna, Salmon & “78” Sandwich�
We enjoyed our first visit to 78 Foster thoroughly. The cocktails were complimented by excellent appetizers (baked clams were incredible), the entrees were perfect (get the salmon) and then to top it off with Irish Coffee and Bananas Foster was a treat alone. Could the night have been any better? Yes..and there was the live entertainment. Excellent all around. Look forward to the next time.

Never had a bad meal there. All the people I’ve introduced it to, have felt the same. I’ve turned quite a few friends into regulars. I just wish they would remember to use the light dimmers. I like more ambiance.
Food was absolutely wonderful. Had band playing out on the deck/patio . Service was excellent. Prices good. Will be going back
We have rave reviews. We are there every Friday night and we are going back tonight because they have BLOWFISH on the menu.

The bartender Shawn was the best. Such a hustling guy he was able to handle the entire bar on his own and it was full. I will go back when I'm in town. The folks next to me had chicken sandwiches, one grilled and one fried. They said they were excellent. A nice spot on the water, but unfortunately it was raining otherwise deck seating would be awesome.
I came up from Florida for a visit, and my boyfriend took me here for a fine dining experience. Our server Matthew was attentive and service was on point. We started with a half dozen Little Neck clams, very fresh and tasty. We also had the Shinnauck Steamed clams in a savory garbanzo bean, carrots, spinach, “soup” that was so delicious! I could have tipped the bowl and drank it all! For our entrees… he had the crab stuffed flounder, which came with a spiral of mashed potatoes which made a beautiful presentation! It was delicious! I had the 1 1/4 lb Maine Lobster, served with baked potatoes and the house vegetables. My lobster was fresh and delicious. The only down side was my baked potato was a little underbaked, and my boyfriend’s dish could have been warmer. I gather this was because it was very busy. All in all, it was a pleasure dining here.
Really good soup options. And awesome salad. The lobster roll was pretty good, and with excellent fries.

My wife and I absolutely love this place. The food is always excellent, personal favorite is the tuna appetizer. The staff is always friendly and the owner Helene is top notch. Would give it more stars than 5.
Food was fresh and very well done. I had the tuna and it was great. Restaurant is attached to a fish market so seafood is a big plus here. Service was attentive and cheerful. Pleasant dining room. We found a new spot in Hampton Bays which isn't an easy thing to do!
I can’t say enough incredible things about this restaurant! The owner is so incredibly sweet and friendly and always makes sure her guests are accommodated for! The wait staff is also very friendly! The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. My girlfriend and I have loved all the meals we have had here! The atmosphere is perfect, especially on the weekends with live music and karaoke, it is always a fun and enjoyable time! Will definitely be back many more times in the future and would highly recommend!
My wife and I had dinner here last night. Everything was great, we were seated right away, the service was excellent, the atmosphere terrific, except for one thing. We ordered the steamers among other items and they were full of sand. My wife wanted to send them back, I asked her not to. In hindsight, being a businessman myself, I would’ve want to know about it. My wife was adamant that they’re not supposed to be sandy. That if properly prepared, this doesn’t happen.
Other than that, we loved everything else about the place. Still give it 5 stars.
Came for happy hour after reading Dan's Papers' review. Friendly place ask for Mary, Ashley or Helen. It reminds me of grammer school where the women are at the end of the room (bar) and the men are all together across the way. Everyone raves about the food for good reason. Despite computer issues, the staff kept their focus and kept the food and drinks coming.
We had a very tasty seafood dinner tonight. Due to floodings, it must have been a real stressful weekend for the Restaurant staff, but we still had an very nice evening there!
