Delicious and hearty food! We tried the fruit shake that is dairy-free. And what an amazing treat! The taro burger is delicious and fulfilling even for meat lovers. Top of my go-to list. Wish they were open more days. A wonderful local business to support and a great place to eat. We like to buy
Stopped here after a hike to Hanakapi’ai beach. No wait, food came out fast. The kalua pork… 10/10! Moist, huge portion, amazing. Skip the poi. Could of ate a whole plate of Mac salad, sad they only give you a keiki-sized portion.
We loved our food here! I had the Taro burger with the hummus and it was super yummy and flavorful. Highly recommend and will be back next time we’re in Kaua’i.
I love taro! They had a couple cool taro dishes available like a taro burger. However, I wanted to try some Kauai pork and got the sandwich, #6. We had 5 people order various items and there was a rush that came after us so I understand the confusion, but they got my order wrong. Fortunately they fi
Taro-based treats and other traditional Hawaiian foods. We enjoyed the laulau and the mochi.
Had the kalua pig tacos with lomi lomi salad. Two great local specialties in one bite. mac salad was fabulous and the taro hummus on my wife's wrap rocked! This is a must visit. Not open long but a great place to catch a great local food meal!!!
I have never had poi, but heard the horror stories. After having it here, I think people are crazy. Poi is great, and these guys are masters at making it so!
Late review. I have been here in person and met Lyndsey and Rodney in 2016. My bad for not posting a review then. I recently made an online order for Taro burgers, Taro Mochi cake and Kulolo. Everything arrived today. I made some Taro burgers and shared them along with the desserts. Everyone was " w
Quick and tasty spot, the special was great and all the taro sweets were also delicious. Smoothie was okay.
A must try if you’d like to explore authentic local flavors! Skip the big restaurants and hit the food trucks instead. This one was one of our trip favorites. The taro hummus is a gem. The pork is great to share with the kids and chicken lau-lau is a must for the more adventurous eater!
Some of the absolute best hawaiian pulled pork and Mac salad I've had. I'm really glad my wife and I decided to walk further out from the touristy shopping center to go here. The food was amazing, service was terrific, and it's such a cozy atmosphere with other local tasty treats and shops around.
The pork special was delicious, humongous portion, and a great price. Came back and got the shoyu chicken special and while I still wish I could get more of that brown gravy they used on the pork, was delicious as well. If you are nearby, this place is a must.
Great Taro hummus and Taro chips. They also have a lot of traditional food that looks very good. A lot of locals eat here.
I am picky about my Hawaiian food and this place hit the mark on everything. Chicken Laulau with Kalua Pig, lomi salmon, rice, poi and mac salad. Try the ginger lemonade also! Super good!
We tried the Mango tango smoothie. Taste was fine. It was heavy and not super sweet. The taro cake was a different experience for me. Its sticky and heavy as well.
If your looking for Hawaiian food on the North shore, this is the place to go. Great food! Highly recommended
We had #2 with rice and #4 with rice and poi, local BBQ pulled pork, Juice cucumber and watermelon, everything yummy!
Probably my favorite food in town. Friendly service, everything was delicious. Highly recommend the Lau Lau Plate!!
