Excellent food served hot. Delicious lamb platter and pita rolls. Pretty cheap price in the downtown area. Try it for sure..

The fish over rice combo was amazing and I kinda have low appetite so it was enough to full my tummy and it's always fun trying street food.😁

We had them come today for a Food Truck Festival in our neighborhood. OH-MY-GOODNESS!!!! The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! They were so nice, service was fast and courteous and everyone raved about the gyros. I had the chicken and lamb with rice and I couldn't stop eating it. You will not be disappointed ordering from these guys. We're having them come back for our next Festival. 👍

Don't think before ordering here. Just do it. I'm consistently amazed by this place. I work in Progress and order through DoorDash. The food has a great price point and is delicious every time. Impressive that such a small location can put out such quality food.

This place is fantastic! The cooks are super friendly and cool. I was there the first time the Halal food truck came to Market St and have stopped back at least once a month or whenever I get downtown. They have a delicious tzatziki sauce and hot sauce, and the ingredients are always fresh. I'd recommend them to anyone coming to the capital. They have become a Harrisburg staple.

The food was so cheap and delishous! $4 for a gyro and $4 for a chicken wrap is a steal. The lamb in the gyro was super juicy and flavorful, the chicken in the wrap was too. You must get the superb white sauce (tzatziki) Definitely a meal that will make you satisfied with your choice.

This food truck is located on Market Street outside Harrisburg University, near the south entrance of Strawberry Square. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that there's an even better option for gyros nearby.
Pros: This has to be the lowest out-of-pocket gyro one can get anywhere in the US. For a mere $4 I had a chicken gyro in pita with lettuce, tomato, and white + green sauces. Each bite was delicious and moist. Credit card is accepted with no minimum charge!
Cons - compared to the nearby alternative: The portion is noticeably smaller (you get what you pay for) It's only about 1.5 times the length of a credit card, just a bit bigger than a soft taco, not quite enough for a full meal by itself. The chicken was not as flavorful. And the packaging wasn't quite adequate - just one single sheet of aluminum foil - making the gyro rather messy to eat. Sales taxes are levied on credit card charges.
So New York Gyros is till hands-down a better alternative and my go-to place for gyros. For $1 more (chicken gyro), you won't have any of the cons mentioned. That said, Gyro Express still has its place: better location and lower price points across the board. It's here to stay.

Love the food here. Other items are a bit higher than normal but the gyro is amazing. First place in America that I got the right amount of spice for an Indian palate.
