I had one the the best hamburgers I have ever tried. It was perfect. They have their own craft beers and most were pretty good. I would recommend the flight of beer so you can try them all.
The service was great as well.

I have a review from way back in the day that was not so great. Our visit on 9/15/21 was a much more pleasant experience. We had the Hair of the dog burger and the burger of the month the pizza party burger. Both were tasty and the food came out quickly. I tried the Witch Doctor black ipa and it was tasty. Looking forward to trying the House of Coral once it's ready.

Normally my husband and I are very pleased with The Porter. The food, the people, the entertainment, the drinks-all top notch. On Friday 4/22/2022 myself and a friend walked in at 8:02 and it was busy enough that we asked a waitress walking around if we could sit at the back bar and she said yes because all
Of the tables were full. We also asked for menus, she had just brought a gentleman next to us at the back bar a menu. That waitress then proceeded to ignore us and never came back to us for 10 minutes. So after 10 minutes I noticed two people left from the front bar and there were seats available so we moved up there hoping to get food and drinks. The bartender saw us looking at the menu and she also ignored us until 8:26 and when we asked to order food we were told the kitchen was closed and she had just put in the last order. We sat for 24 minutes in hopes of food because I wanted my friend to try the food since my husband and I frequent this establishment. I was not aware the kitchen closed at 8:30 and at no time did anyone tell us, even though she saw us looking at menus the entire time we waited for her to address us to even get a drink order. We will probably not be back. Again-I do understand it was Friday and busy but that does not mean good customer service stops. The bartender was extremely rude.

Visited here on a drive through of southern Mississippi and was thoroughly pleased. The beer was spot on, the loaded chicken fries were great, and the 2 ladies and 1 gentlemen behind the bar were absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable and helpful to us about the area. Will definitely stop in again!

(LONG POST ALERT)
We stumbled across this nice little spot on Friday evening, by chance. They did not disappoint, from the food to the beer tasting! Although, I'm not a beer drinker. We were at a pub, I had to join in on the experience. So, I did partake in the choices, that our waitress picked out for us (I can't remember her name 🤦🏾‍♀️ but she was awesome!). THE ARCHER WAS OUR FAVORITE!
They were shorthanded. But, I must give a big shout out to the cook/owner, who step up to the plate and knocked it out the park. The food was so goooooooooooooooood!!!! Emphasize on good!!! Okay, it was great! We had the fish and chips (fresh cut potato fries, not ready chips but y'all know that, lol).
Ohhhh, and we had their mac & cheese added to our order. It was so good, that you have to close your eyes to take it in with all of your senses with the "hmmmmm" sound! Yall, it was oooooowwwwweee gooooowwwwweeeeee, good!
I promise that I wasn't drunk, when I wrote this! Whoever, reads this post, please add this place as one of your spots to try!

Good food, shrimp and grits and meatloaf. Staff knowledgeable about their brews and helpful in choosing just the right ones. Vanilla porter and one new one called nutter butter were delicious. Pleasant pub atmosphere. Good experience.

The Porter is great fam the best restaurant and bar in the Burg.A few nights ago I had a bad night seeing the band Arabesque those guys are the equivalent of buying a hot topic gift card and a Spencer’s charm bracelet. But the porter redeemed my night and the waitress Sydney best waitress in the Pine Belt nominate her.

I have never had a bad experience at the Porter! All the wait and bar staff are absolutely wonderful and have excellent people skills. I will keep coming back to the Porter for this, and the fact that all their food (especially the pretzel with beer cheese, highly recommend) is amazing!

Great place to grab some foods. I ate a lil off the whole family's plate and I would not have been discapointed by any of the food we had. From being the first time in the place I can tell I want to come back. I enjoyed it all thanks for the great dining experience.

Neatest place. Meatloaf entrée was so good. Husband got the grill cheese sandwich with their French fries and he said they were both good. My brother got the BLT and sister in law got their Octoberfest meal. No one was disappointed. Dessert cookie dough egg roll with ice cream. I will be back to try other items on menu.

Our very first visit here for lunch. Our waiter was wonderful but the food took forever to come out. We order nachos for an appetizer and it took 45 minutes to get to the table and then another 20 minutes for our lunch to come out. We wanted to try our friends "Sharmon's Red velvet cake" but didn't want to sit and wait any longer. This was the longest lunch ever for a family of three.

We came in around 4 when they weren't busy at all. The service was awesome, our waiter was so attentive, and they gave us the best recommendations! We got the chicken and waffles sliders and potato salad, a side of Mac and cheese, the pretzel as the appetizer, and fish tacos. Every single thing was AMAZING. The pretzel was my favorite! You have to go get one when you come here! Mac and cheese so cheesy but good. No complaints. I was so surprised that my food was so hot and fresh, everything was so crispy! You could tell they made everything to order! The Porter is definitely delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the meatloaf, the club, and the fried chicken!!
