Very very disappointed in the quality of the food. Yes they have the buffet up and running but definitely not worth it. One of us had buffet,2 of us ordered off the menu.Will not go back. The two stars go to the servers and the help. They were very friendly and attentive.

I'd give it zero stars if I could. For 3 people and drinks, it was $64 + tip. Lady didn't give my obvious senior parents a senior discount until we said something. By then the card had been run.
We saw our waiter twice in the 45 minutes. Real nice but didn't ask for refill or take plates until promoted.
Food was bland or overly salted. You could see the salt granules on some of the meat and it couldn't be eaten. Catfish looked like the kind you buy frozen then fry yourself. Had a lot of white spots where the oil didn't fry or the freezer burnt set in. Didn't have a good flavor. The ribs and chicken were the only good part of the meats. Sides were so, so bland. Only the dressing seemed like they had done anything to it.
Parents said the bread pudding was good. I had strawberry cake and ice cream. All were good. Sweet tea was too sweet but unsweet was fine. They mixed the two and were okay.
Won't come back. Definitely not worth what they're charging. There's a lot of buffets in Hattiesburg; it's a wonder this one even had business.

This was probably the worst buffet we've ever had. The taste was not great.. And the price was ridiculous. Also not a great selection on different types of seafood (buffet was small) maybe I am just used to my favorite in Florence Ms. We will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Not worth the drive to no-where! My $27 shrimp feast included 19 small shrimp of different versions of over salted and 6 GARLIC hushpuppies. The service was slow and forgetful but very friendly and busy . Picture shown is everything but a half cup of soupy coleslaw. My husband ate 2 bites and tossed the rest. Total waste of $75!!

Order two catfish plates with baked potato and salad. Also asked for butter, sour cream, cocktail sauce, lemon, ranch and 1000 Island dressing. Get home no salads, no cocktail sauce, lemons looked they had been out for a couple days alittle brown, and missing one catfish plate. Could not eat the salads because they looked like it had been frozen and thawed out. This is the second time my order has been messed up and food not up to what it use to be. Last time to spend money there and they are only 5 minutes from my home. So sad…

I ordered carry outs two times in the last two months and both times, the food was not fit to eat. The first time I ordered a large oyster platter fried hard with a salad and fries. The fries were ice cold and the oysters looked like they were not even cooked to the regular hardness. I also order a shrimp platter and fish platter. NONE of as good! I called and told them about it and they said they would comp my next oyster platter. I called two night ago, she said she didn’t see anything with my name on it yo be comp’d so I ordered again thinking I would get a discount as she said she would do since she couldn’t find anything about the comp. So, again 50 something bucks down the drain! Same nasty oysters, no salsa, Mac and cheese and turnips were HORRIBLE! Fried felt like they were pulled out the freezer and served.
Oh yeah, got a 4.00 discount 🤨 I will never go back yo this place again and it’s only 4 minutes from my house!

This place is surrounded by great hospitality and excellent food. The food is so good and I have no self-control so I heap mounds of food on my plate and enjoy each bite satisfyingly. It is so rich in taste that sometimes I have to go vomit before I leave. Just so I can enjoy more. The good thing about being one of the best sports medicine personal trainers in the area is I know the protocol how to burn these calories off and get my metabolism back in check. Advantage Mac's every time.

A great place to eat it would be really Great if the hours were longer on Sundays most people have a long way to come to get there but it's worth the drive, please consider longer hours on Sundays .

I like the food. Think the price is little expensive especially since you don't get crab legs and crawfish, or frog legs. I guess I'm just use to house of seafood ,paying same price as macks but more variety. But by far best seafood in Hattiesburg!

Food was fantastic, atmosphere was great, and service was friendly. Unlike most buffet style restaurants, they keep their food fresh and stocked. They also have non buffet choices like crawfish that are flavored to perfection. Go hungry and you will not be disappointed!

Ate at Mack's West last night and may I say I throughly enjoyed it. The Catfish platter was awesome. Enjoyed talking to Sierra Parker and Hannah Boyte. Could not have been any better. :)

Everything was awesome. But. I got crab legs only thing about them was very expensive for small cluster. They were very small for the price. Other than that great food. I will be going back but not for crab legs.ha ha. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Sunday lunch is great and with a great price! Only downfall is $9.00 for 4 sweet teas!! We don’t go during the weekends for the nightly buffet. Way too expensive with a family of 4!!

We were sat (with no menus) for 10 minutes before we gave up on anybody coming to take our drink order. The waiter went to the table next to us, looked at us, and never came back. This was my first and only time going. I will not be back with such horrible service as we had tonight. No service is still horrible service!

Wow. 25 dollars for a seafood buffet with un fresh seafood. Only the catfish was good <br/> Sub par food ,worst service. No wonder it was half full on a Friday night when every other restaurant in hattiesburg is full

HORRIBLE!. Went for my boyfriends birthday and what a mistake! They were horrible at every turn. We walked in to their super tiny table waiting area and the young hostesses looked annoyed by having to do their jobs, and were very rude to customers. When we finally got a table, the only saving grace of the night was a friendly waitress. I ordered a shrimp poboy. I asked the waitress how big it was and I should have known better than to get it when she replied, "oh there is a lot of bread". Ha, she told the truth! There was so few shrimp, I counted 8 medium size, that she went to buffet and got me a whole 4 more to make an even dozen. The huge bread was not an understatement. It was hard as a rock and cut my mouth and was nowhere near covered with shrimp. My boyfriends fish was okay, but his fried okra was from frozen, I would bet money on it! And his green beans were actually really good, but when he went to swallow a bite an extremely hard piece of what I am guessing was a stem nearly choked him and it nearly got lodged in his throat. We left pissed off, 30.00 less in our pocket, and he had a scratched up throat from that stem, and I was still hungry and felt like I had are barbed wire from the rock hard bread. WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Mack's buffet cost twenty-two dollars and definitely not worth the price. I'm from west Texas and was expecting to get some good seafood but boy was I wrong. Everything they had on the Buffett was mediocre. Most of the food was just very bland, even the desserts didn't have much flavor. Overall, I would not ever come back to this place.

Very disappointing, my family and I went and wasn't happy at all. The food on the bar was just mediocre at best. I got the crab legs and that won't happen again. They wasn't cooked right and they were cooked way to long, the flavor wasn't what I would call good crab legs. <br/>The desserts, if you like Walmart cakes and pies you'll love this bar because thats all they have.<br/>The price, well at 22.99 a person they could get some better food out. Then they charge you for your DRINK AT 2.00!!!!! Being born and raised in south I love my sweet tea, thats one of southern enjoyments that we have. They don't have good sweet tea, at all, its not good, at all. It taste like they got it the same place they got the desserts, I'm sure it came out of a jug from walmart. <br/>The Sunday Buffet is better, it seems they put a little more into that buffet.<br/><br/>If they would lower they're price to match they're food then maybe it would be an ok buffet. But until they do I won't be back. <br/><br/>I guess what I'm saying is they're much better places to eat in and around Hattiesburg for a much better price.

These guys are the seafood buffet kings in my book...but I can barely afford to eat there anymore. I could understand the premium buffet price if there were crablegs on the buffet but crablegs are a la carte.

Good experience, stuffed myself silly! The atmosphere is very casual, so feel comfortable wearing blue jeans and a tshirt. It is located in West Hattiesburg, so it is a little but of a drive from town. I went here a couple of months ago. Me and my husband both got the buffet. Excellent variety. Boiled shrimp, crawfish, fried shrimp, catfish, etc. Good salad bar and dessert bar. Buffett price is kind of expensive, but worth it. Would definitely go again. Good service and management.

Fresh cooked southern food. Mac's seafood has been around for over 40 years. I like whole catfish and they have the best, hands down. I have tried the catfish filets and they were excellent. The hush puppies and coleslaw are as good as they get.<br/><br/>One review stated that the food tasted like it "came out of a can"? Not hardly. It's all freshly prepared and cooked.

The family & I went in for the Friday night buffet. It was well stocked with plenty to choise from but the quality was lacking. Mack's used to be our favorite seafood spot. Now, the prices have increased and the food tastes like it came straight from a can. Certainly not worth the price.

Great buffet. I was part of a group of ten that ate here recently and I do believe there was not the first complaint. Good job Macks. Everything on the buffet was good, fresh, etc. Service was great, lots of smiles...like that. It is a seafood buffet so its priced accordingly. We will definitely be back.

Great Sunday dinner. Mack's puts out a great buffet for Sunday dinner. It is a favorite of mine. Good, basic country-style foods. A wonderful place to take family and company.
