Review Gigi's Cupcakes

I have tried Gigi's cupcakes before in Flowood, MS. Had a craving for a cupcake, so decided to check out the spot in Hattiesburg. Pretty good sized location. Very clean and staff is friendly. There is a seating area for you to enjoy your cupcake upon purchase. I preferably enjoy the cupcakes with real cream cheese icing. I would say that the cupcake was slightly dry and did not taste as fresh as it usually does. I tried to white midnight magic which is generally my go to cupcake for my sweet tooth. Would give this spot another try hoping for a better day. If no improvements will stick to the flowood location.

The cheesecake cupcake was mediocre. The no bake boxed cheesecakes taste better. The canned pie filling on top was fine. Definitely NOT worth $3.75. I paid $1.50 for a sprite and then it's only 8 oz...I could have gotten a 12 oz can cheaper elsewhere. Also, one of the workers was rude.

Cake was dry and icing way too sweet when I went, and the staff stayed hidden in a back room for over an hour...they weren't sociable or helpful with the coffee maker. Never checked on us or the store. They only respond to the Bell on the door when someone new walks in.

Considering that this place only sells cupcakes and they only have like 12 different types the cupcakes were really mediocre. I've tried two different types and they were both just OK. This last time I got the Wedding Cake flavor and didn't finish it...it just really didn't taste like anything. Really confusing because this is literally all that they do.

I have very disappointed in this Gigi's in Hattiesburg. I am from Ridgeland and had these cupcakes before. The cupcakes have been dry the last couple of times me and my family have gone there. The icing is great but the cupcakes taste old. Also they never have any cookies that they constantly advertise. Not impressed😒

Now understand before I start this review I'd like to say I love Gigis cupcakes, with that being said I placed an order a week before the LSU / BAMA game, gave the information to Emanuel(who is wonderful btw) I NEVER RECIEVED A PHONE CALL OR INQUIRY UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE MY ORDER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE READY! And when I did, it was a very young sounding individual who couldn't grasp the simple concept of 3 tier buttercream icing, 3 cup cakes LSUw team colors Same for Bama 3 with team colors. She told me the a for Alabama might not look right so At this point I told her team colors with sprinkles, candies or some sort of deco for football. " It's a football party duh" I had a feeling they weren't going to be what I asked for already... I walked in, Emmanuel quickly acknowledged me, Got the order and set it down on the counter. This is what I saw when I opened it! Icing falling over in the box, the colors were not even Bama colors, it literally looked like a 5 year old made the cup cakes, as a matter of fact, all 3 women in the bake shop said that very statement!!! I was so disappointed and upset, I'm upset the way it was sloppily handled, the way they looked and the fact that they actually put this product out for sale! The cake are expensive but well worth it when done correctly! It's a nice treat for yourself and you need to keep that in mind when you're back there making them for us! I couldn't accept them and Emmanuel totally understood and agreed with my decision not to take them. He kindly offered me 6 cupcakes of my liking to replace the Frankencakes that I recieved, now they weren't football themed but I really appreciate Emmanuel for going the distance to try and make a horrible situation tolerable! BTW, the cakes were delicious but it didn't make up for the B.S. that was sent out for my party. Thanks again, Emmanuel! Give that man a raise!

We ordered a birthday cake for my daughter who is 10 it was white wedding cake with pink frosting. It was so good moist frosting was great it was a big hit.I recommend getting one of their cakes.

What kind of company that specializes in cup cakes can't make a cup cake cake, we wasn't looking for cup cake batter turned into a cake we wanted 22 pluse special Cup cakes arranged in a pattern to look like a horse somethig my wife seen online, I guess this is something beyond their intellectual grasp. But oh well their cup cakes don't taste so special anyway.
