Kaya's Kitchen - Hauula - Photo album

We have heard about Kaya's Kitchen and have driven by it many times. This time, we stopped in, and we were pleased. All the items on the menu looked delicious, and it was hard to make a decision, but we decided on the 'porco moco' special. Like a loco moco but with the addition of pork. It was very
stopped here after church and had the loco moco and furikake garlic chicken. both were delicious as was the butter mochi. store has incidentals and beverages. covered picnic tables to eat at.
The best food that we had in our stay in Hawai'i, Surf & Turf was amazing in any kind of way! Far for any kind of fancy/expensive Honolulu's Restaurants. If possible, just take away and go to Punalu'u Beach Park, this will feel like the best restaurant in Oahu! Of course, take care of all the trash
Oh Em Gi how much food I’ve got and how tasty that was. Especially nice that it’s available early in the morning on weekends too. Thanks!
You pretty much have to go into the store to order food. Ordered loco moco. Pretty good but nothing special. Staffs were friendly. You have to purchase 5 bucks or more to use a credit card though. Angways loco moco tasted like loco moco lol also purchased buttered mochi which was pretty amazing! Def
This is just a little store along the Highway, but damn the food is good. We’ve had their spam musubis before and loved them, but we also ordered to-go food. Had the breakfast special with eggs, rice, and choice of sausage as well as loco moco omelettes. Food was delicious, filling, and huge! Highly
We’ve been on the island for 9 days and this is easily the best food we’ve had!!! It was mouth watering! The butter mocha was also such a treat. Highly recommended
Loved the local charm of this place. Food was great and staff was so friendly and helpful. A must-try spot if you’re in the area they really have everything you need and if not they can point you in the right direction.
A "must stop" on your way to the north shore. So very good, and so reasonable too. Just a great value, can't not eat here!
The breakfast was amazing! I had a cheese omelette that also had spam and smokies in it. I spent the extra $1 to get my rice to be fried and it was well worth it! Also; the service was excellent!
Highly recommend this quaint mom and pop grocery + kitchen! Best mac salad on a the island for SURE!! (and for me, is second in the world only to Aunt Linda’s & cousin Merissa’s back home!) Plus, what nice Aunties!! Feels so local and Aloha spirit 😊
Starving and stopping at this place was the best idea ever..
The Ahi tuna with Miso was amazing and the macaroni salad was a great surprise. Staff was very friendly. Great grocery stop too.
The best authentic Hawaiian food on the island. Hardworking Hawaii: Kaya’s Store in Punalu’u celebrates 75 years in business I was blessed to meet the two young ladies running the store.. Mrs. Beverly. She is the sweetest lady.. Such positive energy.. Awesome plate lunch. They made the news. PUN
Love this place! Loco Mocos are fantastic and aunties who work here are the sweetest. Always stop by on our way out to north shore
The buttered Mochi is a must! We loved coming in to get a few plates before heading out for the day. Selection is very limited for dry foods but they do have a lot of quick grab and go options.
They were so sweet, the loco moco is AMAZING. They even gave me peanut butter cookies for my birthday! Definitely will be back when I'm on the island next.
