Somehow we always end up eating here. It’s truly a hole in the wall spot but the workers are friendly and the food is yummy. A classic l&l experience. Not completely convinced of the cleanliness of the place but maybe it’s just old and run down/ out of date. I love how tender the bbq chicken is and the crunch on the katsu is delicious.

This review is long overdue. If our family is ever in the mood for generous portions of our favorite comfort foods, at a very reasonable price, our Hawaii Kai L&L is our 'Go To' place. We've been going to them for years, and I'm still always amazed at how even their mini takeout packages are literally packed with our selections (and I'm not talking about the rice; I'm talking about the entree). If you've ever been there, you might be wondering why I even gave them 5 stars for atmosphere, when it's not all that unique or special. It's because the tables, seats and floors are always clean, there are no unpleasant odors, and they're right on the marina. As for service, they're always accommodating of my requests to substitute green salad for rice, even though I'm violating my low carb diet with a scoop of their delicious mac salad. They're always pleasant and polite. The food is always ready when we arrive for our takeout orders, and utensils and napkins are always present in the bag. Best of all, we each have our favorite entrees, and they're consistently prepared in the same delicious manner. I hope they'll never leave Hawaii Kai, as I don't know what our family would do.

definitely can't go wrong with L&L! they pack it and the plates are heavy!! I kinda wish they gave more curry. but still all good for $10! 😄 seems like no one really goes here because it's kinda hidden and there was no one there when I went. but I'll be back for sure!

It's quick and easy, and it tastes great.
Must try chefs special Garlic pork ribs. It's so full of taste. Crispy! they are always my go to. Sometimes I forget what I always order and they already know what I mean. Lol. Friendly staff, always cleaning the area. They have a cute little rock garden that puts out mists. I highly recommend. Always consistent with their portions which are quite generous.
Great place to eat some real Hawaiian food. Our Airbnb host told us about this place and it's worth going.

We love that place. Huge servings for little money. My favorite is the Barbecue chicken saimin, but to be honest, everything tastes delicious.
BBQ mix plate is where it's at! Friendly and fair prices. Takeout only, can be a little slow to cook so call ahead if you're in a rush.
These places are everywhere. And they are sooooo good i got the teriyaki plate and its soooo good my husband always gets BBQ mix. I love the macaroni salad and the white rice has no flavor but its sooooo good too i just cant get enough of it.
