Excellent, fresh and healthy, great for vegetarians. There are lots of Ba-le restaurants in Honolulu but the quality can vary wildly - this one is the best I've tried. Love their tofu summer rolls and cold tofu noodle salad. Friendly, family staff, great prices.
Great sandwiches. I sometimes stop by here to pick up sandwiches and spring rolls to take home, the sandwiches are delicious with that vinegary veggie mix on top, makes your mouth perk up and the spring rolls with the sauce is yummy.

Omg I found my absolute favorite sandwich here: the bahn mi with lemongrass chicken. The chicken is quite spicy and all the flavors just work so well together! I’ve been to Vietnam before, and for me, the taste of the bahn mi is on par with what I tried there! Prices are also on the cheaper side!
Very sweet people and delicious food!! We got a chicken sandwich, spring rolls, pho, and 2 chicken plates for $60. Very affordable and some of the best food we’ve had in Hawaii!
Stopped by here after our hike. This is a family owned and operated Vietnamese cafe. The staff were very nice. We spoke Vietnamese to each other and I told them I was on vacation visiting here. We have a Ba Le at home (not sure if it’s a franchise). This store has all your summer rolls (goi cuon) and bang mi to statuary all your craving plus plated food and noodles! Make sure you get the Vietnamese iced coffee (cafe sua da). Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Great service, staff was very friendly and our food came quickly. It was delicious! Thought the portion sizes would be smaller because of the cheap price, but it actually lasted for two meals for both of us. Would highly recommend!
Been coming here for many years and they never disappoint. I always get the special sandwich on French 🥖. The Pate really makes this sandwich rock!

Love this family-owned Ba-Le shop. The food is always so fresh, tasty with huge portions. They are so friendly and very accommodating. I always ask for extra sauce for my Spring rolls with vermicelli and they never charge extra for it. My fav for Vietnamese food in Hawaii Kai!
One of my fave places to get lemon grass bánh mi! Arrived right at opening. One of the workers took my order and I had my sandwich shortly thereafter.
Put in a large to go order and it was all packaged well and hot. Everyone enjoyed their meals! Very tasty with great portion sizes.
Convenient Vietnamese take out spot (just one block from Costco), everything was delicious and well priced for the area!

Very nice family business and great food. I think it's better than of the fancier Vietnamese restaurants and more affordable. I love #9 garlic shrimp & spicy squid over noodles with request to make it extra spicy. They give you a huge amount.

This Bale blows all the other ones out of the water. They are super friendly (definitely not the case with the other ones) , the place seems super clean and you can tell they care about putting out a better product overall. Their meats, especially the chicken, isn’t super fatty, the shrimp is well cleaned, and they package the to go orders with care. Prices are average but the product is above and beyond. They’re happy to customize things too, love this place.
We love Bale Hawaii Kai. Food and service is always great. Sandwiches to the vermicelli noodle plates are our favorites.
Never expected the food to be that great. If you are doing any water sports near this area, grab some food here.
