The next stop on my Burger Joints of Hayward tour is Cecil’s Famous Burgers...I was rather intrigued by this supposed challenger. Its nondescript exterior with only a window to order from and a few outdoor tables to use struck me as just right for a potential dark horse in this race. Would the burger also hit the mark?
Decent burgers , sandwiches and fries. Enjoyed their coke float. The customer service was good . Friendly staff .

We walked here as my car was getting looked at and got a Double Cheeseburger as well as a BBQ Beef Sandwich.
The Cheeseburger was pretty good, but the BBQ was better imo. Didn't get any ice cream.
Over all, I would go again if I'm in that part of town.
Food is good. I normally call and place my order so I don’t have to wait around. I’m deducted a star because I once saw the older lady handle money with her gloves on and when she went back to preparing food, she didn’t change her gloves. She wasn’t handling my food but that customer and I both noticed it and he said something to her. She just denied it and gave him the dirty burger. Since I witnessed that, I don’t eat there nearly as often.
Never had a bad experience there. They have delicious burgers, sandwiches and shakes as well as a whole bunch of other good food. I always get the turkey burger and it never disappoints. The teriyaki chicken sandwich is good too. And their shakes are the best!
Pretty good. Fries tasty.
