Reviews Damon's Grill

Made a special trip from out of town to meet an old friend and had my handicapped elderly dog with me (sort of a “final goodby” visit) - we had to pick a place in-between for us to meet up that was dog-friendly. Damon’s topped the list with patio seating great reviews. From the moment I arrived the staff were nothing but attentive and accommodating. The food’s good, too, but that’s just a minor detail. Very pleased and would definitely recommend.

My wife and I arrived in Hazleton on Friday night 12/15 for a funeral Saturday morning. We headed to Damon's for a much needed meal after driving 3 hours in the snow. We are so glad we did. The giant soft pretzel was a fun and delicious appetizer. My prime rib was cooked perfectly and my wife loved the fish and chips. Good beer selection and our server was very friendly and attentive. Plus lots of TVs to satisfy my sports fix. We could not have been more happy with the food, service, and prices.

Restaurant was steady for business but we we're greeted quickly and sat in a booth in the bar area. Talk about being surrounded by anything u want to watch in sports! (Heaven) Christina came by offered drinks and apps. Told us take our time and came back for our order. Highly recommend having her as ur server when u go. We ordered the sampler and a rack of ribs. The food was awesome. Thia Chili wings were the perfect sweet n heat. The ribs were just as Damon's has been known for and sadly in St Louis I don't get to have em this good. Vegetables were extremely fresh and crisp. The restaurant was very clean and well ran. Thanks for making our trip great and this will be a must visit any time we're near here!

Had dinner last night. Our server(Millie) was fantastic. The appetizer was bigger than we thought it would be, but we finished it. The Main course was great. My wife enjoyed the salmon and I the filet Minion. Both were prepared perfectly.

Being from out of the area, we passed the restaurant on our way to a big chain, and turned around to eat here. It was WONDERFUL!! The portions were very filling and everything had great flavor. For a family of four, the bill was very reasonable. The staff were more than friendly and even the other customers are the bar we're nice to talk with. The atmosphere was inviting!! Will return when in the area again....

Don’t get up there as much as we like to but it has been always been my favorite places to go. Brittany was our waitress and did her job quite well. Friendly and pleasant. Our meals were done to perfection thanks to the cooks. And left there with stomachs full and a happy customer again. Eat at Damon’s! U won’t be disappointed!!

I had a delightful experience at Damon's Grill! The food was excellent, served at just the right temperature with generous portions. I ordered the Pot Roast with savory gravy, accompanied by a loaded baked potato and a side of crisp French fries. We also tried the pulled pork quesadilla with fries, which was a hit. I'd rate the food a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The staff, including the waitresses and kitchen chefs, were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The restaurant boasts a pleasant, ambient atmosphere with plenty of TVs and projectors, offering a spacious environment. I'm looking forward to returning to explore more of their diverse menu and perhaps enjoy a variety of beers.

Basically, in the parking lot of Fairfield Inn so it's recommended for anyone staying there. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way for it if I lived local, but it's worth the walk for anyone staying at the hotel. I got the boneless buffalo nuggets, the BEAST burger, and the soup of the day (some sort of steak and potato soup) the 1st night. Nuggets were amazing. They actually had chicken and not just breading. Soup was meh, but the burger was honestly awful. Arguably one of the driest burgers I've gotten. Ordered it medium, it was definitely well done and I think they forgot the sauce so it was just like eating flavorless jerky, almost like the cook doesn't know you need to add fat content to lean meat grinds. It was the burger that earned the 4 stars and not 5 for the food. Next night was the Philly egg rolls which were good but came with a sweet chili sauce which was a weird mixing of flavors. The egg rolls were good by themselves, and the chili sauce was good by itself, but the combination is awkward. They should come with cheese sauce instead or something more to that taste. Got the Italian wedding soup which was much better than the steak soup the night before and then finished with the prime rib sandwich which was the best course I had. Tender meat, flavorful, au jus on point, it was worth it. Both nights the staff was friendly but I will say a bit slow. Not their fault, at one point the bar area had 13+ people at it and only 1 bartender who had to take care of all of them and still the drinks for the rest of the restaurant. They were nice and as quick as they could be but still lagging which is where the 4 instead of the 5 comes for service. Atmosphere 5/5, big, open, fireplace. Real cozy. Overall, again, not a bad spot at all if you're staying at the hotel or want to go to watch a sports game, but I probably wouldn't come here too often if I lived locally.

Food is good to grab a quick bite, the issue with me is that for some reason my tummy instantly got bloated. Maybe the food is over fried with old oil.

This is a large sports bar & grill. Lots of big TV’s everywhere if you need to watch a game. The menu has a general variety. It sits within walking distance of the Fairfield Inn in Hazleton so if you’re traveling this is a good, safe place to eat. The staff was nice.

Pretzels were good, although a bit greasy. French Fries we cool and soggy. Service was good, prompt and quick. Speed of service and FF that were not hot or crispy was a bit surprising. Overall not a bad place.

Food is a little overpriced for the portions you get, and the kids pizza was made extremely sloppy. Most of the cheese ran off the pizza and was stuck to the wax wrap underneath. The fried pickles were pretty good, and the order came with more than expected. The waitress was very nice and very professional at the time of service.

I was SO excited to find that one Damon's still existed in Pennsylvania. Wife and I drove over two hours for my beloved Texas Burger, and it was the happiest meal I have ever had in my life. Food was really good, atmosphere was just like I remembered. If I could make one recommendation, I would suggest a deep cleaning on the table surfaces. I wiped up some spilled water with a napkin and it came up a little yellow.

Me and my kids stopped for a quick quick meal and they accommodated that by being quick without any sacrifice to how great the food was! Burgers were cooked to perfection and there were sports visible from every seat.

Excellent Food !! This Restaurant Grill and Bar is very Welcoming and cozy with a great menu. They have some good specials, and an interesting Beer menu. Prices are very affordable and portions are Big. Friendly and helpful staff, thanks Courtney. My Beer: Amber Ale 570 was so enjoyable, fresh and crispy. The Pull Pork Nachos appetizer was huge and Delicious. Cajun Shrimps were so good and well sized. My New York Strip Steak was Decadent and perfect done to my liking. The Kid Burger was just as good. I Highly recommend Damon's Grill.

It's not the best food I've had, but for the $$, the experience was certainly worth it. I was a little disappointed in Ken's Signature Salad, although previously recommended and very good, I guess I was expecting more avocado and eggs than was present in it. Pub Burger of the month and chicken tenders were really good. Have to say the service really stood out - Thanks, Brie for the good, attentive service.
