We always start the morning of our annual wine trip here and it is always good. They have taken out their tables so there's only a small ledge to put your coffee and food but its still good coffee and pastries.

Local institution with delicious breads, pastries and desserts. Try the famous sticky buns, sour cherry coffee cake or chocolate eclaire. Morning pizzas and ice cream are also good. Founded by two former Chez Panisse pastry chefs. One still remains and runs it with her daughter. Also serves coffee, breakfast items and ice cream. Lines are not unusual but they move fast.

I brought my family here while on vacation to start out one of our days with some delicious, fresh pastries and great coffee. The staff and service were great and you can tell that this is a place locals enjoy as well, not just tourists like me!. I would highly recommend Downtown Bakery & Creamery.

Downtown Bakery is on the Plaza, the centerpiece of beautiful Healdsburg. I live nearby and come here often. They have a down to earth, friendly atmosphere and down to earth prices. Great selection of delicious pastries, savory food, coffee drinks and more. Highly recommended.

As a local I know there are various strong opinions as to the best bakery in Healdsburg but in my opinion any argument is misplaced because The Downtown Bakery and Creamery is the clear winner. All the pastries, pies and breads prepared here are not only good they are the closest I have ever had, in my travels, to homemade. Seasonal specialities are also a step above the rest so be sure to reserve from their holiday preorder flyers. Can't miss commenting on the great coffee and breakfast offerings also available to eat at the indoor tables with the locals. Or, take your coffee and pastry outside and have a seat on the bench and enjoy the view of the town square that lives up to its reputation as being the centerpiece of one of the "most beautiful small towns in America."
