Healdsburg used to be a small town with a country store, a bar on each block and a burger joint or two. The only people that were out around the square were dirt farmers that thought coming into town was just as big a chore as running the tractor through their 100 acres of apples.
Well those dirt farmers are all old millionaires, and the apple orchards are now vineyards that would make any winery envious, they still think it's a chore to come to town...but the tourist don't! And that's exactly why we have KINSmoke BBQ Restaurant, what a wonderful experience, the food is amazing.

Really fun BBQ place with outdoor dog-friendly seating! Lots of meats and sides. I would recommend the “2 x 2” platter so you can try two of the meat options and two of the sides. Highly enjoyed the cole slaw! They make their own BBQ sauce, and it’s not very spicy, which is nice. Plus, they let you specify how fatty you want the pulled pork, which is fantastic. Waiters are kind and helpful. Wonderful corn muffins and tons of beer options. Overlooking the downtown plaza so overall a convenient location but not much shade ☀️

Down to earth. Neat ambiance. Excellent happy hour menu. Very friendly there. Ordered Brussels, feicklea, and the salmon. Everything was very very very delicious. Good flavor and cooked correctly. Salmon is tricky so big kudos. Only thing needs improvement is the bathroom is pretty dark and it makes me more comfortable to seee how clean it is.

Pulled pork sandwich was top notch. Fries hot and crispy, potato salad above average and baked beans side was terrific! We saw rib plates and other mixed platters come out of the kitchen that looked spectacular.

Delicious bbq!!! The brisket and pulled pork were excellent. The sauces were all good and had different varieties. All the sides we tried were delicious-mac n cheese and sweet potato tater tots. The cornbread and dip were great as well! Definitely recommend!

I decided to visit this restaurant twice before making a review. Both times the bbq was good. The brisket, ribs, and burnt ends are the best things on the menu in my opinion. The first time I visited they even had fried okra. I’m native to Arkansas and miss the bbq back home and this place delivers on both flavor and familiarity. The manager is always nice as well. That being said, I did not give 5 stars because of extremely long wait times. We ordered a glass of wine and a beer and we were done eating by the time they got to the table. I’m sure everyone is doing their best and they must be short staffed.

Being first in line at a restaurant is always fun. Seeing the start dynamic of the establishment makes you feel like the preparation is for you. Experience dining here is phenomenal, alternative music, amber warm light, coffee/tobacco color pallet. Great humble service! Original and professional BBQ

I have mixed feelings about this place, first off it is super expensive for what you get. The first time I went was a Friday around 7pm, the place was packed, long line, and by the time we got to order there was chicken and pork shoulder, they were sold out of everything else. We ordered a 4x4 platter, with double meats, and the sides, it was just ok, not worth the $50+.
Went back yesterday, got there just before 5, the place was almost empty. Was able to get a 2x2 platter, we got double brisket, one order was the lean, the other was fatty, when the food arrived there was about 5 nice meaty slices of the lean brisket on one side of the tray, on the other side was 2 pieces of fatty brisket, with a little half scrap piece thrown on, the mac n cheese had no real flavor, and the corn bread was nothing to write home about, but once again not a whole lot of food for the $30+. I guess my biggest pet peeve about any restaurant is when you spend this kind of money and your still hungry and have to stop elsewhere on your way home to get something else to eat.
Not a fan of the new paper straws either.
Will I go back, probably not.

I think I’m honestly ruined for any other barbecue that is not KINsmoke since this was one of the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect. The brisket and ribs melt in your mouth. And the selection of tableside sauces brings it all together. Flavorful and crisp hush puppies? You got it! Roasted brussels and sweet cornbread? Of course. Thank you, KINsmoke. We’ll be back! I heard your salmon is to die for - and we’re looking forward to it.

First of all this place is awesome! Second the food is delicious and high quality. Third we picked up dinner tonight to take out the ballpark. The service was friendly, the food arrived in a good manner, and the selections we made were very very good. Two The Chopper Sandwiches', with Sweet Potato Tater Tots, Beans, and Coleslaw, everything was great. I mentioned that they sponsor a 50/70 Baseball Team and the person who were talking to eyes lit up and was so appreciative of my comments. Thank you so much again for supporting a local team, it does make a huge difference. It is nice to go to a local eatery, that isn't over the top but is a great place for good food, good beverages and excellent service. Thank you for having a really amazing smoke house in Sonoma County!

Great casual spot in Healdsburg to have BBQ. They have a great menu with great choices and amazing sweet potato tots to accompany your food. We had a great salad with sliced chicken thighs. There are several BBQ sauces to use... yummy food!

Coming from Texas, I'm really tough on BBQ places. It's really hard to compete with the Salt Lick and Franklins and my favorite places in Austin but I do think they have the best brisket in Sonoma County. That's a big deal!! And 1 star ⭐️ just for having Shiner Bock on tap. That's really hard to find. I think the chicken and sausage is better at Sauced in Petaluma but brisket is what you get here anyway. Keep in mind I grew up in the sausage capital of Texas, so I haven't really found any good sausage in soco. And the sauces are just okay. But this place is really cool - can't beat the location, the bar and friendly staff. I wish they played country music instead of whatever they were playing but I know it's not for everyone. I hope they do well because we need good BBQ places in SoCo.
So 4 stars to get people to go eat here!

Loved this place!! From everything to the cookie sheets they serve the food on, the decor and atmosphere, to the staff who were so friendly and helpful. We tried several different meats and all were great - especially the pork shoulder! My only tiny complaint was that the hush puppies were a little too dark and overdone, but still tasted great! Can't wait to go back!

Best BBQ in Sonoma County. Many items on the menu are excellent. Standouts for me are the St. Louis Ribs and the Brisket...Smoked Beet Salad? Holy Cow! Sauces are all excellent and a great way to try regional BBQ styles. Staff is great. Location/Atmosphere doesn't get much better. A must try (and try again).

The food was great...I had the Brisket which was cooked to perfection I had the collard green which seemed to be sautéed in an oil they were green and leafy I loved them...the Mac n cheese was just mediocre I have tasted much better...the ambiance of the restaurant I felt was awesome very clean the location was great and their customer service was great as well...

While my family enjoyed the Platter and sides. Another half rack of ribs and of course the amazing baked beans. I chose tonight to get the smoked and grilled skewered shrimp over a green salad and the roasted carrots side. Delicious, my grandkids devoured everything, especially the carrots, and Brussels Sprouts. Oh yeah and the Mac and Cheese, pulled pork, smoked chicken.
