I absolutely love Holiday Lanes. The perfect grilled cheese, delightfully paired with a mid-century-modern ambience, all affordably priced. Everything I’ve had so far has been exactly what I’m looking for in a greasy bowling alley diner. Friendly staff, clean, and a must when you’re around Heber.
Beautiful staple of the community, a real blast from the past.
Lanes were great, staff was friendly and the food was as inexpensive as it was yummy. I'd stay away from the onion rings, but the bacon burger and grilled cheese were great.
You wouldn't know it by looking over here, but this place has the the best American style food in town. Their burgers and regular shakes are better and cheaper than Dairy Keen. They have fried mushrooms and pickles. It's just like a old school diner connected to a bowling alley.
Setting foot into the snack bar at Holiday Lanes bowling alley in Heber City, Utah is a revelation of unexpected culinary delight. While it might seem an unassuming establishment tucked within the vivid hues of bowling lanes, the snack bar's offering belies its casual surroundings, rendering it a destination in its own right.
To begin, the "French Fry Plate" is an appetizer that challenges the preconceived notions of the ordinary. These potatoes are meticulously hand-cut, blanched, then fried to a golden perfection. With an exquisite crispy exterior that yields to a sumptuously fluffy interior, each fry is a harmony of textures. The bar’s signature seasoning, a well-guarded secret, lends a tantalizing layer of taste, creating a delightful preamble to the main course.
The crown jewel of the snack bar is, without doubt, the "Big Willmoth" burger. This masterpiece of craftsmanship features a locally sourced, hand-formed patty, robust in flavor and succulent in texture, cooked to perfection. It is then layered with a combination of melting cheddar, crispy lettuce, plump tomatoes, thinly sliced onions, and crowned with house-made pickles. The burger is a symphony of textures and flavors that sings with every bite, served on a toasted brioche bun that adds a hint of sweetness and a satisfying crunch.
To conclude this culinary journey, the "Cookies and Cream Shake" comes forth as a celebration of classic dessert tastes with a twist. The ice cream is churned in-house, its creaminess intensified by the crumbled cookies that punctuate each sip. It's a harmonious blend of sweet and slightly bitter notes, a decadent and refreshing finale that is the perfect full stop to the gastronomic tale penned by the snack bar.
Holiday Lanes may be primarily a bowling alley, but its snack bar proves to be a sanctuary for those seeking a gourmet, yet comforting, culinary experience. The friendly staff, attentive service, and inviting ambiance only enhance this sublime gastronomic journey. Whether a bowler, a fan, or a food enthusiast, the Holiday Lanes snack bar has something special for everyone. A diamond in the rough, it's an eatery that's certainly worth the detour.
Love the old time vibes. Had a 12 pound ball that fit my sausage fingers. Never has that ever happened until today. The towel dispenser on the Men's room took me back to elementary school. If you visit Heber City and you don't stop at Holiday Lanes you are doing it all wrong.
This reminded me of the bowling alley I would go to in the 80s, and that's perfect. I had a great time bowling. It cost me $10 for 2 games and the shoes. I should have stayed for lunch.
If you want to have fun at a non crowded bowling alley this is the place to go. A friend's daughter wanted to go here because she's a fan of some youtubers that did a video here. We had an amazing time! We loved the vintage vibe and how family friendly it was. We bowled 2 games then the kids were done. I talked to one of the owners and it's been in the family since 1964!
I like it but few times our lines were changed due to malfunctioning. They also have food mostly fried but we were happy that they have something for the kids.
I went there with the kids, and we have lots of. The kids loved putting their names in the computer themselves. We also ate dinner there and the food was really delicious. We ate the hamburgers and chicken strips, the fries were some of the best we have had. If I'm in this area again I would definitely go back.
Took my 7 year old grandson for his first time bowling. A very good experience at Holiday Lanes
Probably the best bar food in town unless you’re vehemently against fried food. English chips are fire.
Brought my 3 year old for his first bowling experience. He had a blast and it was fun to step back into time coming here. Reminded me of bowling when I was a kid. Stuff was friendly.
Great bowling alley and tons of fun for the whole family!! We loved the nostalgic look and feel. It was great!
We've never actually bowled here, but go for the food. They have delicious chicken fingers, sandwiches, burgers, fries, etc. Every time we're in Heber we try to eat here.
Been going there for years, especially since Heber is where I grew up!
Great burgers and fries. I loved the fries, they were extremely simple, but really good! I also tried the fried pretzel curds. I'm not sure what part of them were pretzel, but they were great as well! Prices are great and the food is awesome. The only thing preventing a five star rating was that my burger had a bit of an aftertaste. Nothing to ruin the experience, just slightly taint it. I'd heard from a lot of people that the bowling alley had the best food in Heber. They weren't lying. I'll definitely be back again!
