On our recent visit to the area, my wife & I stopped in Red Newt Cellars. It came highly recommended by friends we met on our trip. Glad they did. The person who did our wine tasting did a great job. Very friendly. Explained the wines well (forgot her name). We found their wines had such a great taste. Full bodied. Many to choose from too. Sooo good! Must have been. I know I bought every wine from my tasting. I usually never do that. We bought a case and probably 3 bottles beside that. Just like other wineries in the area, tastings were very reasonable. It was very clean, and staff was very friendly. View of Lake Seneca outside was great. We would definitely make this a stop when we go back. I know we will be purchasing many bottles again!

We stopped at Red Newt Cellers during a wine tour in a group of 10. We opted to sit in the back room and take time during this stop to grab a little something to eat along with our drinks. Red Newt was slightly busy and it did not take long for our table to be serviced. I opted for a flight along with an order of fries, while others in my party opted for Hummus, bread and Olives. The fries here are tasty, but I was caught a little off guard with the curry ketchup, as I was expecting a regular ketchup with the fries. This was not a negative, just something to be aware of. I'm not normally a huge fan of hummus but the selections here are good! Overall, Red Newt has a good selection of wines and the prices are on the cheaper side.

We had a perfect visit to the Red Newt. The wine selections were great and the cheese & bread stone we had pleased all who shared it. It was a perfect autumn day just after the leaves began to change. The view of the lake was terrific!

Had an amazing time tasting some really good wines. the staff was knowledgeable and friendly and had a lot of information on the wines I was tasting. They had a very nice collection of older wines available to buy. I had the warm baguette with the blackberry balsamic, this was fantastic!

Nice smaller winery with friendly staff wo meet you on arrival. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Tasting flights were served table side off of the menu options provided. Nice views from the patio of Seneca Lake. Snack options available as well.

Stayed overnight here with our camper through Harvest Hosts. Enjoyed a flight of wine on their beautiful deck on a Saturday afternoon. Enjoyed a coffee on the deck Sunday morning. Good wine, coffee and great staff. Will definitely return.

The service we received at this winery might be the best around Seneca lake. Meredith and Paige treated us as if we were their own family with kindness and so much care for our experience at Red Newt! On top of the amazingly pleasant experience, the wines and food were awesome!

Absolutely incredible. Finally visited after having tried a couple of their wines before that I loved and was expecting to find a couple more to buy....and ended up leaving with 15 bottles. The staff is very welcoming, and our server Heather was super knowledgeable and helpful. They make some incredible wines here, especially if you prefer dry. Not to mention the great selection of bites to have on the side. Definitely one of if not my new favorite winery. Cannot recommend enough.

We really enjoyed our tasting experience. John was super knowledgeable and provided our group of 4 adults with not only information on their own wines, but even the history of the area and recommendations on where else to go.

Great service all around. I believe our sommelier’s name was Stacey. The view from this place would be amazing on a clear day. I wished it wasn’t raining so we could have relaxed for a while on the porch with our delicious food. I ordered the special-beet and lentil patty on anadama bread. My friend had a grilled cheese on anadama bread and both were VERY DELICIOUS! The bread was sooo so good. I could only eat half of my beet and lentil patty sandwich and saved the other half for the next day and it was still good! The way the wine is listed is very easy to read and I love that they provide all of the information about each wine on the sheet. I loved the riesling. Lost of mineral flavor. Very good.

Great atmosphere. Pretty views.. wine and food was good. Due to COVID they have chosen not to do true wine tasting. (Only reason for the deduction of stars)But you can get half pours of wine and tadpoles which are about 2 glasses in a small bottle to share. It was a nice visit during a gloomy winter day.

Excellent riesling, 7 different varieties. The bistro is excellent. The spicy tomato soup is a "can't miss".

I absolutely LOVED this spot for a wine tasting. This was some of my favorite wine I tried on our wine trail - I ended up buying a couple of bottles. The staff is so nice and make you feel right at home. The interior is beautiful, as well as the views. I hope I get to come back someday!

5/6 wines I tasted here were excellent, a significantly better ratio than most local wineries--certainly worth a stop.

Red Newt is my new favorite in the Finger Lakes! The wine is really really good and they have a large variety. They have these cute little pours they call tadpoles that come in a very very small wine bottle. The bottle has the type of wine and describes it so you know what exactly you are getting. You even have the option to scan a QR code and someone will come over and talk to you about the wine. We also got the spiced pecans and they were amazing. They have a nice outside patio (limited lake views) and the workers were very knowledgeable and helpful. They also have a huge selection of wines to buy there. Will definitely be back!
