Located in the Heart of the Mountains, Joey's NY Bagels has Authentic NY Style Bagels. Our Bagels are Boiled and made fresh daily, NEVER day old.
Best bagels anywhere, and salmon cream cheese to die for. Had to move 800 miles south to get good bagels! Joey's are real, and fresh and varied. The bialys are great too, but it is the lox cream cheese that makes Joey's super special. It has so much lox flavor that we even eat bagels with just it, but it enhances the classic lox and bagel immensely. The coffee is good too, and the recently added parking helps a lot...
Best Bagels in WNC. If you're looking for a good bagel south of NY, this is your place. By far the best I've found in WNC (possibly NC?). They offer a great variety and you can taste the freshness. I like my bagels to have that perfect smooth, yet slightly crunchy exterior, and of course a airy dough on the inside. Joey's has perfected that and it's the closest thing I've had to a NY Bagel. They offer 15 different spreads ranging from savory to sweet. I like the lox and cream cheese, walnut raisin, hummus, and strawberry to name a few. This place gets busy in the morning, and it's easy to see why. Give Joey's a try, you'll leave happy.
Awesome bagels and bagel sandwiches! Tons of cream cheeses to choose from and everything is reasonably priced. Clean atmosphere with pleasant classical music.
Fresh food and friendly service. I drive an hour from the mountains to do some local shopping, grab lunch, and take bagels home until my next trip. So glad I found it!
Great bagels at a great price! Thank you, Joey's, Hendo needed a place like yours.
Wonderful. We went opening day. Still returning again and again. Everything is so good. They take care of each customer while it may be a little slow due to so many people the food is fresh and well worth the wait.. Who wants fast food when u can have a fresh egg sandwich. Thank you Joey and staff for the great food and service. Keep up the good work and most of all thank you for bringing Boar's head meat and fresh baked yummy bagels to this side of Hendersonville yum...
Great Place. This morning was my third visit. Everything was again, very good. Everything from a bagel to an omlette to the vegetarian wrap. Delicious indeed!
Please support ALL Hendersonville independent restaurants that deserve it.
Taste good to me.. Stopped here today for lunch on a suggestion from a friend who tried a bagel for morning eats. I must say it was very good and the place was packed. I enjoyed the Big E roast beef hogie. The bread was fresh with a crisp crust and soft inside stuffed full of beef, cheddar cheese, horseradish sauce L&T plus I had a touch of mayo also. As a side I chose the potatoe salad. Even for New Yorkers the sweet tea was good. Tons of bagels in huge baskets. I saw plate of cream cheese with a bagle on the top and bottom. Even though it was packed the service was still quick. The other sub shops might beware of this one. Boars Meats are sponsered. Lox was also spotted in the meat case. So that's my next stop Lox-Cream Cheese on a garlic bagel. Try this place. 8.5 of 10
We stopped here today (8-14-11) for breakfast. It was packed the line was wrapped around the inside to the very back wall. Service was a bit out of kilter but I know they'll get that fixed. She had a plain bagel with raisin cream cheese with a smoothie, back to the beverages in a sec. I had the onion bagel with cream cheese & lox it was very tasty, but the next time I will ask for extra portions of lox and I course I'll ask to be charged more. The lox was very fresh and smoked to perfection. Just not enough for the amount of cream cheese. Maybe I'll ask for less cream cheese either way I figure that out in the times to come. The best thing is that the lox was very fresh. All of you Lox lovers know how fast it can turn. Now the beverages, no orange juice at all. So I ask for the Lemonade which in on the menu board, no lemonade, coffee is not an option for me. So I had cranberry juice from the chiller box. It turn out better that I had thought it would. My wife wanted a banana smoothie, no bananas, they suggested the berry smoothies, turned out no berries, so she had the Mango smoothie which was good, I did taste it and enjoyed it very much. All in all the second d time was good, except the woman running the cash register was just a bit crabby and I think it was due to the over whelming crowd and the noise, you could not hear yourself talk much less think! Come here you like it, just might have to get it to go!
One of only a few sandwich shops open on Sunday, this little deli checks the box. The ultimate Italian is fresh and good. But balsamic forward. The potato salad was a homemade surprise. I am a potato salad snob. This ranks in the top 10 I have had. Not a lot of inside seats. But a great feel. Fun photos on the wall. Delightful staff. I recommend.
Good bagels, not quite as fluffy as ones up north but very good for down here. They call pork roll, taylor ham though. 😂 Good to see it in the menu outstate of PA, NJ, NY though.
Will be back.
Best bagels around (I’m from Brooklyn, NY) and decent enough other items. However, and this may be due to difficulty in hiring, the people working there (and most of them are lovely, friendly women) are not the brightest stars in the sky. I go pretty often and I don’t remember the last time I got the correct order. I don’t like returning things so I just usually keep what I get. I recommend Joey’s for their food, but I suggest you check your order before leaving the store!
Joeys, I have probably been here close to 300 400 times, I could not love you anymore. So lucky to have this cast of breakfast bus on the way out from my house and two different locations. Killer affordable omelettes. And truly legit Bagels. There are employees who have been with the company over 10 years. I don’t think there’s another restaurant in the area. I can think of that has that claim. If you live in Asheville and you haven’t been to Joeys, you are really missing out.
I enjoyed my breakfast here with a friend. They have a small seating area inside. There are vegetarian options. There isn't an accessible door, so if you have mobility issues or a wheelchair, you would need someone else to open the door for you.
As a New yorker I know bagels. Fuhgeddaboudit!! These bagels were very good. I ordered a turkey bacon ranch wrap on wheat. Excellent! The potato salad was awesome New York style. The prices are more than fair. It won't leave you with empty pockets or an empty stomach. This place is located right off of the freeway. It's very busy very quick service and very nice people! My experience and I rate a lot of establishments I give this one a gold medal! The bathroom was clean to boot a Laundromat and fuel stations located within feet.
Delicious! Everything made here is yummy and fulfilling. If you like garlic, try the garlic bagel with garlic butter, it melts in your mouth. The sandwiches are divine and the muffins tastier than any in a grocery store. Breakfast anytime but they close at 4pm. Takeout or a small area to dine in. Order ahead at your convenience if you prefer. Lots of bottled drinks to choose from as well, water, teas, other juices. Don't think about it if you have passed it a hundred times and wondered; just stop and enjoy the aromas and tastes inside. Then you'll wonder why it took you so long to sample. Always my go-to place for breakfast, bagels, croissants, wraps, muffins.
Best bagels ever! The cream cheeses are like butter so delicious and I have bad jaw it’s dislocated and these are the first bagels I’ve been able to have they are soft and if you New York it they double the cream cheese
Bagels are the real deal. I was disappointed at the small amount of meat on the sandwich. The staff is friendly and efficient .
I've always had their amazing bagels for breakfast but decided to venture out and try the Joey's Cheesesteak sandwich with a side of potato salad, and was blown away by how delicious it was.
If you're in the mood for Breakfast or Lunch, this is the place to visit.
I love bagels, and these are probably the best I have had...and I have had them in NYC.
AWESOME staff, as well.
My highest recommendation.
Would have given a 5, but I got a few really half dark sesame bagels and they were also ones stuck together bagels, not the quality I am used too from them. See photos.
Very good bagels and cream cheeses with solid prices. Online ordering is easy
