I’ve been to Harvey’s for both brunch and dinner. Brunch is excellent! We had crab cakes Benedict and brioche French toast with berry compote. I also had a couple of mimosas. The patio is nice and large, shaded and has privacy blinds. At dinner, we had the fish and chips, baked scallops, and heart of palm tacos. The fish and chips were great and served with malt vinegar and tartar sauce; the bakes scallops were so good and tender served on a shell with a butter sauce; the heart of palm tacos were unconventional with fried heart of palm, a chipotle aoli, and fried jalapeños. We met the chef/owner, Michael, and he gave us a little tour of the downstairs. Nice experience.

I've been to most if not all of the restaurants in downtown, and Harvey's is by far my favorite. I've been there twice now, and will go again once the weather cools a bit so I can bring my dog. I met the owner, Michael, last December when I was scouting locations for my camera club to have their Christmas dinner. I told him I would come back and bring friends, and I did. Both times I've been there my meals have been wonderful. The menu changes frequently based on what's available. They feature small plates that are inventive and incredibly tasty. Service is exceptional. Others I've spoken to say it's a special occasion place, but I disagree. It's the first place I'll think of if I want to go downtown for dinner.

This was quite possibly the best meal we have had in Hendersonville. We've been trying to get into Harvey's for a little while now. Two parents working full time makes it tricky. I'm very glad we finally made it happen. Service was spot on and the food was amazing with the highlight for me being the scallops in lobster butter. Great bottle of wine at a reasonable price and lovingly crafted cocktail with fresh juice. Couldn't choose between desserts so we had to try two. I think the raspberry creme brulee won out this time. The atmosphere on the patio was perfect and the temperature surprisingly cool on quite a warm day. We will be back.

Lovely brunch on the porch of The Henderson at Harvey's. Simple dishes but executed very well. Bloody Mary was yummy. My seared mountain trout was cooked perfectly. Crispy skin, tender fish. Everyone cleaned their plates! I only remembered to take a picture of our tuna tartare appetizer. I didn't eat the wonton chips so my only complaint with the whole meal was that the texture of the tartare dish was all the same. It would have been nice with some cucumbers or more peppers to give it some crunch. Still very tasty!

We had a delightful meal at Harvey's starting out with perfectly paired wines. We enjoyed the Caprese, the Wild Mushroom & Truffle Enchiladas, French Onion Soup, Scallops, Vegetarian Ravioli, as well as a sumptuous raspberry creme brûlée. All so fresh and good. Service was excellent too!

My husband and I booked the wine dinner on Wed, Oct 12. Having been to wine dinners here previously, all wonderful, we set our expectations very high given there would be "dueling" wine distributors competing with each course. Well, we were not disappointed. Food first: the mussel, saffron soup was potentially the most tasty starter we've ever had and we've had some great ones. The mussels were fresh and meaty, the saffron broth seasoned perfectly, an excellent compliment without overpowering. Following the mussels came fried green tomatoes and the kick up in spice with the buttermilk dressing was perfect. Next, a salmon mousse, delicious, fresh, light to the taste but full of flavor. Pork saltimbocca, one of my husband's favorites, was skillfully done and cooked to perfection. By the time dessert came we were both quite happy and full but the chocolate cake with one of the red wines served paired too well to pass us and we found a way to clear our plates. Wines: frankly, this was among the best wine pairings we've experienced because all of the wines worked well with each course and not a one was more than $19 a bottle, seriously, and a few were in the $10-$12 range...thank you Grapevine and Empire for considering my palate and wallet. To conclude, the service and atmosphere at Harvey's is always warm, friendly, and attentive and the team once again got it right! Chef Michael really set the bar high on this one, cannot wait till the next one...save a spot for us!

Had a wonderful experience at the wine pairing/dinner last Wednesday night. We try to make as many as we can. As usual the food was fantastic and the wines selected by the distributors were amazing. What I appreciate the most is the monumental task with each course having nearly 50 plates come out at the same time and right temperature. All while expressing Chef Michael's creativity and broadening our knowledge of wines. Well done can't wait for the next one!

The inside is exactly as I hoped it would be. The owners are old movie buffs and there is memorabilia all over the place. It's rustic with a nice feel. The staff is excellent and the food was very good for all four of us. We ate inside but there is seating on the outside porch which I'd like to try next time when the weather is a little better. Thank you for a nice birthday experience.

I have never been to The Henderson, however, I can speak fluent “Gilligan” and can assure you that anyone who has ever been in this family’s presence will very quickly understand the level of commitment, dedication and experience they have to provide all with outstanding service. I will be visiting The Henderson in the near future, not only as a patron, but as a friend and I’m sure that my review will be no different. Enjoy! I know you will.
