Best Indian restaurant in the city. Food is excellent. The service was great. The inside of the restaurant itself is gorgeous. I have yet to be disappointed by this business. I highly recommend it!
My boyfriend and I have come here multiple times and love it! Our go-to Indian reataraunt. Always a great experience with fresh food & awesome service. PLUS they're one of the only Indian restaurants in Rochester (that we know of) to serve an Indian dinner buffet. #gottalovethemakhani
I've been here 3 times now and have also brought my friends. The food was freshly made and tasty each time. Staff was courteous.
Buffet was good as well. In particular, I liked the Chana & Samosa snacks. Didn't care for their sambar or dosa. Their chicken tandoori and curry were both good. All veggie items were flavorful.
Usually good food. I've had delicious food every time I've been at Haveli. My only complain is regarding the buffet. I took my girlfriend to the buffet on a Saturday afternoon, not long after they opened for the day. I happened to find a 3 inch thin strip of a plastic wrapper in the chicken makhani as I was eating it. They paid for my lunch and not my girlfriends to make up for the problem. They examined the makhani at the buffet, but didn't remove it. I wasn't terribly impressed with that. Since the food's been so good in the past, I'll continue to go, but not to the buffet.
One of my faves. I'm surprised to see 2 negative reviews here. I've been to pretty much all of the Rochester Indian restaurants and Haveli remains my favourite, above all. My boyfriend and I have been frequent customers for both lunch and dinner since 2011 and I'm very pleased with the food. The service can vary from attentive to sometimes absent, but it's nothing major. The food is amazing!
I think it would have actually got five stars had it not been that some of the dishes were cold. The rice was extremely cold, and only warmed up because of the sauces that you put on it. The chicken, the goat, and all other meats were very tasty and well made. I just can't get over the cold rice. But overall a good dining experience and I probably will be back. We ordered the buffet, good assortment of food. The actual highlight of the day was the waitress. She was well attentive and seemed more than helpful.

Food quality was too good.. i had enjoyed a lot while eating.. even they arrange mango lassi for my 4 year kid.
They have even started vegetable mini roll which was even too tasty..
I like Indian food and this is by far the best Indian restaurant in Rochester area. They serve Indian style lunch everyday and have buffet dinner on Thursdays. I could see people line up to eat here. The food is very tasty with right amount of spices. You can almost get every Indian dish here. I was amazed that they could cook so many dishes perfectly. The place is clean, the staff are courteous and the price is reasonable too. I visit here very often with my friends and family.
We had a great experience here! The team was super attentive and friendly. We were able to make requests as needed, and could rely on them to answer our questions while we ordered.
The restaurant had a great atmosphere, was very clean, and played some nice Hindi music. Our food was delicious (the naan was #goals), and we were able to select the spice level. I highly recommend coming here for dinner!

For me the winner of the night were gulab jaman, and the fresh naan.
I liked the raita,pakora and butter chicken. Biryani was like a pulao with spices but then again was a good pulao not biryani.
Custard and kheer was very liquidy but taste was fine :)

Very quiet late afternoon lunch. Quite nice buffet with many Indian standard deviation dishes. Just about $20 including a beer. Just a good solid Indian restaurant with very good service.

I prefer the menu, so I get a fresh cooked meal, but the buffet was nice to try other options.
The server brings you water, a bread basket, and anything you order from the menu. Service was fine and the staff is friendly.
They want your order to be right and will accommodate any requests.
Just moved to the area and was craving for some Indian food. Came across this place and it's really good. We ordered Chana Bhature and Chicken Chow mein. Both were extremely tasty. Good portion size, very courteous staff and prompt service. Coming back to try their buffet next.

Great food, great service....Not my first time eating here. Return visit with my son to introduce him to the cuisine. He loved it and having initially informed our server, he was very attentive and informative, gaining a new fan in my son.
Food is so flavorful and the selection of the buffet is awesome! It comes with a colorful array of main dishes, a soup, a few dessert options, AND fresh naan delivered to your table. The prices are so reasonable for how much food you get. The Chana Masala is out of this world.
Really nice buffet. Mixed pickles available in the condiments section! Big selection of chutneys. Cooked to order naan during the buffet which is the right way to do it. Friendly service and nice little room.
