The burger was good, but the fries tasted like they had been fried in old grease! There was dried ketchup on some of the pictures hanging on the wall! Tables needing cleaned as well! Hope they can get more workers that care about their job!

Stopped at the gas station the had this restaurant. Didn't eat there, just got fuel and use the restroom. I grew up going to Steak and Shake in St Louis when we would go to visit my dad. Always had good food, just have not tried the newer restaurant.
I got pretty good service but it was clear there was a lack of hired help. The poor gal making my shakes appeared pretty frazzled. The eating area was pretty unkempt. The cooking area wasn't much better. She did really well holding together helping customers by herself.
I have never been to a steak and shake, I got the bbq bacon burger. The restaurant was clean but the staff seemed bored out of their minds when we ordered. The food was overall good but 2 out of 5 of our orders were messed up in some way. Also some of the dinosaur statues were anatomically incorrect
