Charcoal Kebab - Herndon - Photo album

Visiting from Georgia and came here with my family and we each got our own plates. Lamb kebab actually had flavor and still maintained a juicy texture. Chicken also had the same consistency, which paired well with the rice. The Saag (Spinach) and Chana (Chickpeas) tasted fresh. My Chicken bowl had d
One of my favorite restaurants. I have been coming here for over 10 years. The owners and staff are wonderful people and make consistently delicious food. They do no cut corners on quality of food and the prices are great for flavor, quality, and quantity of food you receive. Their made-to-order tan
Nestled in an unsuspecting stripmall in the middle of Herndon is some of the best Afghani food in Northern Virginia — so good, in fact, that I drive from 2 towns over to eat here. The personable staff at this family-owned restaurant are efficient and a pleasure to encounter. The dining area is clean
Been coming here for a while, always had great experiences. Today ordered the chicken kebab and only got 6 pieces… not sure what’s up with that, but otherwise great food.
My daughter wanted to come here for her birthday. The food was amazing. Chicken with bone, chick peas, lentils, all phoenomenal!! But the bread - wow. Feels special when you eat something that’s at the very top of its category. Best of kebabs in the DC area. Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻
We love charcoal and have been catering from them for years!!
The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly! We are happy to find this amazing restaurant in our neighborhood and can’t wait to return.
The place is one of the oldest Afghani and Persian serving restaurants in Herndon. They have combination platters of bread, rice and kabobs of chicken, lamb and beef and choice of sides. Their tandoor chicken platter is one of the best we have tasted , the pieces of chicken being juicy and succulent
Love this place. This Is my go to Kabob place. Hands down my favorite and I've tried several of them. If I am anywhere in the area I will make a pit stop and grab some food. I've been coming here for over 19 years and I am glad to see there success grow in that time. When other kabob restaurant
This is one of my favorite places in the DC area! I live in DC proper and am so glad I work out here, so I get to go to places like this. I get the Afghani palow with chickpeas every time and am obsessed with it - plenty to take home as leftovers too. The mango lassi is great too.
The Karchi Chicken was excellent! Lots of chicken breast cooked just perfectly soft and the medium spicy sauce was the best I recall. And the two large naan cooked fresh hit the right spot. It's how this dish should taste. A little bit on the expensive side. I'll be back!
This place is the best in the area I have been going there for the last 17 years the food is amazing very fresh they make it in front of you the bread is something else the meat is very fresh love it
Charcoal Kabob is an absolute culinary delight that has left an indelible mark on my taste buds and heart. As a passionate lover of Middle Eastern cuisine, my dining experience at Charcoal Kabob was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was met with warm hospita
Alhamdulillah, we just moved to this area and I am very happy that there are many restaurants serving halal food near our house, one of them is this restaurant ,, the food is very delicious and the portions are quite a lot, I always share with my children. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Their food is good, especially the tandoori kabob meal I got but they need to take down the picture of abdur rahman khan from their wall. Abdur Rahman Khan was an evil tyrant that massacred over 60% of the Hazara population in the early 1900s. He’s the Afghan Hitler.
Walked in starving, walked out starving for more. The order was unexpectedly proceeded by a mirage of beautiful murals - centurial cavalries, stoic shahs, and the landscape that set the scene for it all. Behind the counter, a story teller emerged, who told, in procession, the story of Afghanistan, t
I last visited here years ago. I came back today and was pleased to find that the food was as good as ever. Excellent bread, very tasty food, not greasy at all. I'll be back!
