Staff was fantastic, bourbon/whiskey selection incredible. The prices are high on a lot of the whiskey, but some of it you’ll never find anywhere else. The food is decent, but certainly not noteworthy. A little under seasoned, but no major food mistakes either.

The place has a laid back easy going atmosphere. I started with the loaded tots. They were great! I had a build your own burger with bacon, guacamole, pepper jack cheese which was pretty amazing. Price was reasonable. I will be back for Trivia and more eats.

What drew me into PJ's today was my birthday celebration. I had looked forward to an event that had been cancelled due to weather today, I never checked my email and I was bummed a bit upon hearing the news. We decided to stay for brunch and were refunded for our tickets purchased with no problem. Our server was excellent and the manager on duty exceeded my expectations. They went above and beyond. We tried both styles of oysters, the jalapeno poppers, the Cajun pasta (or perhaps the jambalaya pasta) among other things. The service was great, the food was great. I enjoyed the personal touch of the complimentary creme brulle for my birthday dessert, complete with a candle. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks again Shay and please tell your manager thank you again. What could have been a totally bummer experience, turned out to be a great time. Excellent recovery.

My friends and I came in for brunch and had a great time! The place was empty (not sure why) so we got to chat with the wait staff and they gave us an AWESOME whiskey tour. Food was great and the bourbon I tried was even better. Definitely going back to grab a flight!

All around great pub with a wonderful and friendly staff, light atmosphere with many weekly events. The food is excellent, and not just for a pub, actually restaurant quality menu. They no longer list it but I still opt for the steak and mac & cheese quite frequently. I only just recently discovered they also have a brunch menu that start at 11am. I haven't had less than great meals here. It is generally an older crowd of regulars so it is a nice quiet place to be. For those that are turned off by the parking situation, there is underground parking that is quite spacious (since it goes unnoticed by most).

PJ Mulligans is one of my favorite hangout places. This week I enjoyed the special personalized touch of complimentary creme brûlée dessert with a candle for my birthday along with wonderful time spent with my husband and friends. It’s the birthday I will forever remember as it gave me a feeling of being on TOP of the world! The one thing that really draws me to this place is the connections and bonds that I have made with some special patrons that I will always cherish. That being said the outdoor seating and lighting arrangements with live music and DJ with a wide variety of whisky options to choose from is the highlight of the place. The owner and his crew work very hard to keep this place happening and growing!

Quick lunch stop to satisfy my Shepard's pie craving. Was not disappointed, great portion size, full of flavor. Ample outdoor seating, unfortunately the service outside during lunch was slow. The interior is well appointed and gives the pub feel with a large bar and a good selection of adult beverages.

It is not often, in fact never the case, that I've thought of a restaurant as fondly as I do P.J.'s. When I walk in, I'm welcomed by enthusiasm and often even one of the Irish owners. Their menu is tremendous and broad, and the chef personally presents my order to me every time. P.J.'s combines "classic Irish" with DC, high-scale, meeting places. Their Irish classics are done to perfection, their beer on tap is broad and balanced, their collection of whiskey is par none, their specials are trendy and fresh. And more, their friendliness is worth the entire trip. I don't sit down without a favorite beer waiting for me already, and the bar tenders/wait staff offer me their most recent take on tater tots. I follow that up by often challenging the chef to "bend the rules" a little bit. For instance, I may ask for the wonderful grits with Irish sausage instead of the shrimp that's on the menu. The responses I get to these requests are enthusiastic. They rise to the challenges of a "regular" by honoring my tastes, just as they do all their customers.

We had a small luncheon welcoming our newest coworker and everything was very nice. It wasn't overcrowded and our food came out quicker than we expected. My pub burger was perfect (loved the pretzel bun) and our server and host were attentive to our group.

The interior definitely feels like an Irish pub and is clean and welcoming. The happy hour drink prices and beer selection are good. The service was relatively fast and very friendly. The deviled eggs from the happy hour food menu were a unique find at a bar and tasted great.

PJs is not a chain, and its privately owned which makes it a more friendlier feel . I have eaten all over the world so let me explain. The bathrooms are very clean here. We looked at the mixed reviews before going to PJ's, and were surprised how good it is after we left. The fries and tots came out hot and crunchy as they should, my burger was moist and drippy like a real burger should be. We have also tried the chicken cordon blue sandwich special and it was fantastic. I brought my kids for dinner and the kids meal is good. The manager said the chef used separate friars for their food so no cross flavor contamination. They even have crayons and coloring pages for the kids too. Thank you !!

Came here with a friend to enjoy a HH beer and some conversation. We spent majority of the time in the outdoor seating section which has ample space. The tables and chairs are metal and the chairs are more comfortable than you would imagine. The inside is basically what you would imagine in most Irish bars; dark, cozy and smells faintly of spilled beer. The gentleman serving us at the bar was very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. He recommended a great beer for my friends particular pallet and I chose the Guinness stout. Guinness can be tricky to pour and the taste varies with the by the bartenders hand. This time it was the best Guinness I've ever had. It tasted smooth, smokey, and had a creamy mouth feel. There's a happy hour food menu that they offer at the bar but I haven't sampled it and my friends told me that they have game nights and he particularly enjoyed their trivia night. If I'm in the area, I will not hesitate to go experience more of this neighborhood bar.
