Great Matzoh ball soup. delicious pickles served beforehand.
I hadn’t been to the Five Towns in 30+ years, and some of the reviews made me hesitant to go to Woodro. Luckily I went with gut instinct.
Ordered the twin sandwiches of brisket and pastrami, both moist and delicious. Had a bowl of chicken noodle which had plenty of chicken and fresh vegetables-needed a little salt, but that was all. And how can you go wrong with a Gabila’s square knish and a Dr. Browns?
Service was on point, as the very pleasant young man waited until I finished the soup before bringing the sandwiches.
I don’t know the next time I’ll be out that way, but I hope the Woodro is still there. And for what it’s worth, the next day I went to Lido in Long Beach, which I found to be no better or worse.
Great food and service! Will definitely be back before leaving town.
Food was just as good as I remember, although, service was nothing like it. We were the only 2 ppl in the restaurant and waiter was never around. When restaurant is quiet it is most important for waiter to be on dining room floor.i not only miss the old place but most of all the business and old time waiters. You'd never know at this time that this is a kosher deli

My 91 year old mother wanted to go there for her birthday. Best pastrami ever hands down!! Coleslaw always fresh. Friendly customer service and not far from my home!!
The food is always great, a little price, but worth the money
Went for a quick lunch. Service was outstanding, place was immaculate and the food was delicious!

I've always liked the Woodro. My family and I have been coming eating here for more than twenty years. Although their new location is smaller than their previous spot, the food is still outstanding.
If you're looking for a good, kosher deli look no further.
Old line Jewish deli...great food very simple setup...worth the trip 😋
Fresh food, great service. No waiting. We’ve been coming here for years and will continue to do so. If pastrami compares to no other.
The menu says "Where things are the way they used to be" and they're not kidding... this place is like a blast from the past, and I mean that in the very best way. Nothing fancy, just a great kosher deli, which Long Island used to have so many of, and is now hard to find. The minute we sat down, a bowl of pickles and cole slaw appeared on the table, and the server was warm and friendly ... the pastrami sandwich was delicious; the meat was tender and lean and so flavorful, and the portions are so generous that there was plenty for lunch and enough to have dinner as well. This place is a gem!
one of my favorite places in town! excellent and super friendly staff with lighting speed service. their coleslaw is out of this world. great place to eat with the family!
The food was good; if your server is Rossy then you’re in heaven, don’t forget to try the mash potatoes with gravy👌👌👌
The gentleman that helped was so helpful. I found them on the internet and I called them from 350 miles away. He made me feel like he was my friend. The platers that he suggested were so beautiful and the recipients said the food was wonderful. I called them at 9am and i needed it delivered ASAP and they had it to my family's house at 11:30. God was with me that day THANK YOU so much
