This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants. The wait staff is so friendly, the restaurant manager is one of the nicest guys ever, and their food is AMAZING. We recently took my 5 week old daughter there for my moms birthday dinner, and my hubby and I were nervous that they would frown upon having an infant there. They were so friendly and accommodating about it. Also, everyone should try the lavender honey soda. They make it fresh and it's the best stuff on earth. I ALWAYS look forward to dining here. Best tempura shrimp, ahi tuna, flatbread, flat iron steak, and cheeseburger as well. Seriously, don't miss this place.

Good experience except for the wait. Good, imaginative drinks and food. Nice neighborhood vibe to the place (although it gets pretty noisy). My only complaint is the lack of reservations (except before 6) which means very long waits on the weekends. For that reason alone I won't hurry back, but we did enjoy our experience otherwise.

Wonderful find!. Met up with a couple of friends here for an informal dinner. The menu is perfectly sized - not too many options to overwhelm and not too few to leave one wanting. The drink list is rather eclectic ranging from your standard whiskeys/wines to unique cocktails.

The food itself was well prepared and quite tasty, no doubt owing to the fresh ingredients the chef used in preparation. The Scottish Salmon is definitely worth a shot for the seafood lovers out there.

Abigail's has a very lively atmosphere, and hosts a decor that offers a mix of trendiness and class perfect to impress that special someone on a date.

The service staff was very friendly and more than accommodating of all our requests. Which other place is willing to turn down the music so your baby can get some sleep!

P.S. Parents, strollers are welcome and they do have an unpublished kid's menu. Fries, chicken fingers and pizza galore!

Nice patio but not worth the wait. Abigails could be a nice, enjoyable neighborhood bistro, if maybe on the expensive/upscale side of things.

But it fails to achieve the coveted "neighborhood favorite" status because the entire operation takes itself SO seriously. Really, there's no need for the hushed tones from the servers, the precious descriptions of how various ingredients were locally/sustainably raised, etc. It would be a much better experience if the staff weren't so, I don't know... maybe "haughty" is the correct word?

All in all, Abagail's just doesn't provide good value; what they serve never seems to live up to what they charge.

Outstanding food and great atmosphere; it is creative fresh and a lot of care is put into every dish. A must try if you are in Highland Park. Excellent if you want to grab dinner before ravinia.

Enjoyed our dinner last night. Food was amazing. From appetizers to entrees all were really tasty and served hot!!! Our server Stute took very good care of us. It gets loud in the dining room as it gets later in the evening. Outdoor dining is available during summer months. Difficult to find parking especially on nights when there’s a concert at Ravinia so plan ahead. Attire is neat casual. Highly recommended!

Great service here, and really cool environment. We counted 6 different types of light fixtures but they all work well together! The food is top quality. They bring some biscuits with cheese out in a cast-iron skillet for the table to share. My butternut squash soup was delicious. My wife had a salad and cauliflower side, both very tasty. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and paid attention to my wife's vegan food preferences by bringing out bread without cheese.

Sat at the bar and had Seared Pork Belly as a starter and then the steamed Mussels as am entre. Food was excellent and the staff very attentive. The manager even made the effort to check in with me

We loved the food and our waiter was gr8. What we did not enjoy was the sound level... WAY too loud. It's one of those places with tile floors, hard wall treatments, etc. The conversation level at each table begins to rise as the collective din makes it hard to hear.

Very nice outdoor dining area. My fried chicken sandwich with fries as well as the avocado egg rolls were very tasty. The service was good. Definitely recommend as a good place to eat when in Oakbrook.

Creative and delicious cocktails. Food is absolutely amazing. Don't be fooled by the humble descriptions on the menu, every item is the best version of it you've ever had. A true gem.

Great American food. Brussel sprouts and toasted branzino are pretty good. Chinese bbq ribs are worth trying as well.

I love a menu that leaves you in a quandary as to what to order. We had the divine tomato bisque, inventive beet salad and the delectable small plate scallops. A house margarita spiced things up. Too full for dessert—but will return to sample that! Make reservations or be prepared to sit outdoors or at the bar.

Abigail's is our favorite spot on the North Shore. Constantly delicious since the day they opened, Abigail's serves an eclectic mix of dishes with a creative twist. Excellent drinks too!
