It was GREAT!!!! Don’t skip the meatball salad. Just like the city! Welcome to the neighborhood!! Say hi to Kyle our server who looks just like Thomas Hayden Church!

We loved our dinner at Viaggio and the service was great too. We enjoyed some really nice wines as well. I can't wait to go back. I recommend the meatballs!

Enjoyed a great business dinner with co-workers. We ordered a variety of. appetizers and all were excellent. I especially enjoyed the meatballs. And the sausage and peppers. Others at the table enjoyed the clams and calamari. We ordered a variety of main courses and served ourselves family style. The chicken Limon was very tender and excellent. The lasagna portion was huge and very good. The pasta and vodka sauce with sausage was outstanding. Others had the chicken parm which they really enjoyed and one guest had salmon which was also very good. For dessert people ordered a variety of items the chocolate cake was a huge piece and looked very good. I had the tiramisu which was excellent. Others had a cherry pie which they raved about. One of the guests said they order it every time they're there and love it. Lots of outdoor dining and on a nice night it's a perfect place to eat. Inside the restaurant also is very nice and I look forward to returning and trying other dishes.

A hidden gem for great homemade Italian food. Either a romantic dinner for 2 or family night out, this is the place to go to. To keep my kids occupied, our server brought play dough to the table, just to show how they go above and beyond!

I give this place a 5. Food service was quick and food was delicious. I had the whitefish special with mushroom sauce and it was great for $26. Food portion sizes were small but I think healthy is better anyway as it is easy to over eat. When busy, the atmosphere is very loud, so not a place if you want a quiet dinner. There is veritable parking available but kiddy corner is a walgreens lot that has 2 hr parking along the side closest to the restaurant. Things that could be better is less tables, it has a unique look but the guy behind me had his chair right against mine and if you are a heavy set person you'd have a hard time moving around with bumping others. The other thing that I thought strange is how the bread gets served with a plate of what looked like mushed green peppers and instead of pouring the olive oil on your plate and mixing grated parmesan, the bottle is at your table. If I hadn't known what it was or what to do I would have not had as good of an experience. I removed people from my photos for privacy.

Our waitress superb. Very attentive service, including the owner. Nice family owned. Excellent food. The green peppers and bread included was a meal in itself, wonderful. Avoid the baked clams, tasted good but small

Love the patio in the summer. Staff was hugely welcoming to our messy 1 year old enjoying her pasta. We enjoyed the pasta dishes and the veal Parmesan

We were a very large group of kids and adults and had such a wonderful time. From the friendliness of making a reservation for this sized group to the delicious food and wine, from making sure the kids were occupied to the fabulous attentive service, we could not have had a more enjoyable night. The portions were very generous, including desserts! Thanks again and we can't wait to come back next time we are in the area!

This place deserves every praise in the book. From a welcoming, fun, relaxed staff (thank you Lisette) who were always hustling but never appeared rushed. Well done. Food, every thing I ate (caprese, chx parm, canolli) were absolutely top I've had, and I have had this meal forever. Fantastic. I will be back often and share with my nshore friends

First time dining here. Food and service were excellent. Red sauce was about the best we’ve tasted in the Chicago area. Very warm and friendly ambiance. Very large portions - wife and I had a full second dinner the next day with the leftovers.

We absolutely love this cozy place that always has a tasty general menu with a personal touch and we were very glad to see they survived COVID. At the height of COVID we made a concerted effort to try and keep them open by eating there at least once a week. We even sat outside one night when COVID prohibited eating inside - in January - freezing our butts in a windy tent as the only customers in the place but had the best dinner ever, laughing, with great wine, great food and wearing parkas. A special place - not the usual thing.

We came here NYE with our twin 6 year olds. We’d planned to go to the burger spot across the street before going to Botanic for Lightscape, but we didn’t realize it was take-out only. We looked up Viaggio since it was so close we decided to try it, if they even had a table for us being that we had no reservation. The manager/host was so nice and welcoming. He immediately got us a table. All the staff was kind and funny. They gave us play dough for our kids and had warm bread out right away. My husband and I got cocktails which were excellently made. And the food was simple and delicious and perfectly seasoned from start to finish, even the Mac n cheese my son got was in a homemade cheese sauce with penne pasta and it was so good. We loved it all, and we’re so happy we stumbled upon this place. I’ll remember this special place when we’re in Highland Park again!

Wow! I wanted to class up tonight’s dinner and I made an excellent choice. We ordered the skirt steak and the chicken Marsala. Both were really wonderful. At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, the skirt steak was the best thing I’ve eaten in a long, long time. It was cooked perfectly and served with roasted onions and peppers over it. I’m going to dream about it until we get back there, which I’m hoping will happen soon! The Mrs. and I were craving something chocolate for dessert and they suggested a chocolate cake when I called to order- it was terrific! An outstanding meal that totally delivered on the special evening I was hoping for. Thank you, Viaggio!
