We were a group of ten from out of town for the weekend, and we lucked out on a Sunday night. We called ahead and they were able to accommodate us with a table in ten minutes!
Because the group was so big, we put ourselves in the chef’s hands and ordered three Combo #3s - and about 12 rolls. Our server was a great curator of the menu and helped us make choices from their specialty menu so we would get a great variety and not much duplication.
Everything was DELICIOUS, fish was beautiful and fresh, and the rolls were tasty and not over-sauced.
We would absolutely go back next year when we return to Portland.

Nice, good quality fish. Everything from sushi, sashimi, nigiri is all very good and well prepared. Large drinks– I ordered a sake and was very surprised that I got a full 6–8oz cup. Much more than I expected. Very nice service. Atmosphere is good, though the restaurant is normally colder than ideal for indoor dining in the winter, so I can never dress as nicely as I might prefer.
I've been here a few times, and although the above items are great, I haven't been impressed with the warm dishes like the donburi or the katsu. They aren't bad. they're just not nearly as good as the sushi. 4/5 stars as a result, would recommend

Ordered tempura bowl for 19.95. What I got was a big bowl of dried rice with a few pieces of hard, fried veggies and one small shrimp that had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp. I could not finish it and they have lost a customer.

Seems a bit expensive, but that could be the current inflation. We will come back, seating was comfortable and we were not packed next to a full table of people, so it felt private even though there was a lot of people there.

This restaurant left more to be desired for me. I was impressed with their selection of signature rolls and (as you can see from the photos) they do a good job of plating the rolls as well.
When it came to the taste of the rolls by themselves (I eat them without soy sauce or wasabi)...the signature rolls taste bland to middle of the road at best. My eyes were expecting a flavor pack roll and my taste buds were let down to say the least.
Service was good and don't want to take away that maybe it was an off night. I just can't recommend that you'll have a great time here should you want flavorful sushi.

Absolutely delicious.
I get the amaebi (sweet deepwater shrimp) almost every time we go here and it’s fantastic every time. Light, fresh, almost buttery the way it melts in the mouth. They prepare the heads really well too, you eat it shell and all for a crunchy, lobster-like flavor.
Bf tends to go for the salmon nigiri or the ginger tofu entree. The salmon teriyaki entree was great too!
Overall: good service, good location, good food!

We visited for lunch on Saturday and arrived right before 1. It wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. The staff were very friendly and all had masks on. We felt very comfortable in the setting. Our waiter was the absolute best and was very attentive!
The food came out very quickly and was amazing! Often times you visit a sushi restaurant and right away you can tell the quality of the food is bad. Not this place! The seafood was fresh and delicious. The raw fish wasn't too fishy or rubbery.
The most surprising dish we ordered was the Ahi poke. The combination of the fish, dressing and seaweed salad turned out to be super refreshing. It wasn't too heavy at all.
We also ordered the Tangy Tang and Da Kine rolls. Both were superb! The rice was seasoned perfectly and even the vegetables used were fresh! The seared salmon just melts in your mouth! It's so buttery and delicious! The unagi was fresh and even had some charred bits on the edges which we quite enjoyed!
Lastly we ordered the Takumi Ahi tower. This is a definite recommend! It comes with a spicy mayo, wasabi, and unagi sauce which pairs perfectly with the ingredients in the tower. Plus it's a beauty so you can't beat that!
