My husband and I do date night here when visiting from Florida. Not only is the ambiance wonderful but the chef has consistently prepared and plated delicious dishes for us. I always have the scallops and it never disappoints. My hubby’s red snapper dish was also very flavorful and well presented. Last but not least I have to thank our lovely waitress Ryan for her awesome service, professionalism and cheerfulness.
Great place to visit by boat. We really enjoy the lobster nachos, steaks, pork chops, and the risotto. The service has been exceptional the last two times we’ve been. The restaurant itself could use a makeover. Needs to be painted and updated. Oh, and my wife loves the crab cake too.

As an owner of Marriott Vacation Club points, I attended an Owner’s event where we were wined & dined at Ela’s in Hilton Head SC. The holiday atmosphere was pretty, private dining with 2 dedicated hosts was excellent and the food and wine was devine.

Great location on the water and a nice random find. Very good atmosphere, our waitress was all around awesome. We had the tuna tartar and lobster nachos as an appetizer. Tuna was solid, lobster nachos were good but little too much sour cream for our liking. Our main dishes were the pan seared grouper and blackened yellowfin tuna. Both were good, but would try different dishes the next time. The blackened tuna was pretty spicey and on a seaweed wasabi bed never getting a break from all the spiceyness. The grouper, again was good but didn't wow us. Definately will go again next time we're in town and just change up our main meals.
First time to Hilton Head SC and this restaurant did not disappoint! The views of the harbor were just beautiful and the service was amazing! The food was delicious and the atmoshpere was so romantic, they also had live music! I highly recommend making reservations but trust me you will be extremely satisfied if you choose this place!!
This was quite a gem to find! It is tucked away and has amazing, romantic views. You can sit inside in the bar area on outside on the deck. The deck views are absolutely breath-taking. The menu has a lot of options and the appetizer choices are wonderful! The main course dishes are also good to choose from, however, some need more descriptions for instance notate if the dish is semi-spicy. The dessert selections are hard to choose from but the hummingbird cake was a winner for me. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is also reasonably priced.

We had an Awesome Dinner!!! We had Beets and Kumato salad for apps, delicious!! My husband had the flounder and I had the surf and turf!!! Our server Ryan was Awesome!!! We will be back!!
We visited Hilton Head for my birthday week and Elas on the water was a must for my family and I.The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with a great view when making the reservation I booked it for a birthday dinner preferring the patio area the hostess was able to get us a table out side and see the sunset . Food was great drinks also good the service could have been better if she came to the table 3 times that was a lot she came to the table I order my drink and my daughters drink but she never asked my husband what he would like although she was sweet she took way to long to come back to the table must have had a empty drink for 20 minutes I had to ask for another never once’s did she asked if I would like another drink. When booking a birthday dinner you would think the server is advice it’s a Birthday Dinner and try to make it special restaurant it self is a must try but server could have done a better job .
Me and my spouse ate here on New Years Eve - he said the oysters were the best that he has ever had! Very welcoming & accommodating staff. We sat on the balcony overlooking the marina- no fireworks visible due to the fog but still an overall beautiful view with the marina lights! Perfect weather since the patio was heated.
Read several reviews that were not flattering. Emilio was our waiter. He was wonderful! Attentive, but not hovering. The food was wonderful. The seafood scampi buccatini, the blackened swordfish, encrusted flounder and the surf and turf were delicious. The wine selection was nice.

We absolutely loved Ela’s! The crabcakes were the best I’ve ever had, they were delicious! My husband loved his steak as well. We got the charcuterie board which was put together perfectly and was delicious. Loved the atmosphere. The kitchen was on point, timing their food and plating it impeccably. Our server was so sweet and friendly, he did a great job as well. The prices are very reasonable for what they are serving. There was a manager (assuming) next to us who was checking on multiple tables and also another employee running food and clearing plates on top of our server. Restaurants are trying their best to slowly put the pieces back together after
Covid with what they have to work with. This place is clearly trying very hard and I believe it showed during our experience.
We can’t wait to go back when we vacation again! Definitely recommend. You can make reservations as well which is always smart.
Parking lot does get a little full so I’d try to bike or ask the host/hostess where the overflow parking is before you go (she was about to tell me but my husband found a spot in the meantime).

We went during restaurant week for the first time. The special menu was really good and we got the wine pairing. It wasn't quite warm enough to sit outside so we are inside with a little view of the water.
