We were staying close by and walked here for lunch since it was so close. We had no wait at 2 on a Saturday afternoon, the server quickly got our orders and the kitchen was fast! We barely had time to enjoy the crispy umami fried mushrooms before our sandwiches came out. My wife had the Italian beef and said that it was good but also said it ate a bit dry and needed a bit of fat. I had the crab cakes and they were very tasty, almost no filler so while they are small they were pretty filling with the crunchy onion rings I subbed in. My mom enjoyed her reuben, she agreed with another reviewer it was one of the best she has had. It was well stuffed with pastrami and was delicious. According to my son, the meatball sandwich was awesome, the meatballs were huge and he struggled a bit to eat it, but he managed. Overall everything was really good, the server was very attentive and we would definitely be back if we were here longer.
We went here to watch the football games. We had several drinks and had some appetizers. After the games we had dinner. The atmosphere was typical for a sports bar. Lots of TVs to watch all the different games. Very good food and adult beverages. We would return for sure.
We visit during the week days around lunchtime. It is a bit off the beaten path, so it is usually a little quieter at that time.
It's great sitting outside in the sun enjoying one of the many lunch appetizers or meals with a cold Yuengling lager draft.
The staff is always around and ready to get you what you ask them for. We highly recommend going there.
If you like the bar atmosphere, they have one inside, and there are always people sitting and having conversations.
You can also get a table inside if the weather isn't too good to sit outside
If you go, you're sure to enjoy and even return.
We really enjoyed this place since we are from the Chicago area like the owner. Best Ruben sandwich that I have ever had. Hamburgers are huge. The staff was great the atmosphere was nice we met some really nice people there as well.
My wife and I are here now! Waitresses are very friendly. The wings are outstanding. Wide open menu, The prices are more than fair. Plenty of TV's to watch the games. Friendly atmosphere. Will be back again for sure! Great job.
Servers were knowledgeable and had great recommendations. Ordered the blackened chicken torta with fries. Absolutely fantastic. Fries were crisp and seasoned. Also ordered the Two daufuskie crab cake sliders with pasta salad. Positively sensational. Would definitely recommend coming here for the food. You will not be disappointed!
A neat little whole in the wall where the locals like to drink. I ordered fried shrimp and cheese sticks and it was after 11 when everything was already closed. The menu was limited at that time but still good. Would definitely go back during the day to try the full menu!
Old School bar menu that delivers. Tonight’s stars, Patty melt, Cheesebuger, onion rings and fish tacos. Fish tacos are deep fried grouper, shredded cabbage, pico and cream on a nice flour tortilla. Patty melt is the real deal, half pound of fresh hand pattied beef, grilled onions and Swiss. The rye bread is grilled as it should be not toasted and dry like so many other places. Beer batter onion rings were thick and sweet. The burger was cooked medium as ordered and good.
BTW you can tell hand pattys…they are more tender and juicy when you eat them.
Beth was funny and the food was served hot and quick. Great spot. Get in there.
Very friendly owner who made everyone feel like he was glad that they came in. We had lunch here on a weekend... It was awesome! Every single thing was delish and the service was superb! Really enjoyed it and will definitely return.
Checked this place out on a Wednesday evening in July. There were just a few tables seated. Our waitress (Jody?) was very nice and made several recommendations from the menu. I got the grilled chicken sandwich, blackened, as she recommended, and it was delicious. Sweet potato fries were great. Hubby got the Italian beef sandwich with cheese, which he loved. Daughter got the pulled pork, which had “the perfect amount of sauce” and was too much for her to finish. We took advantage of the discount on beer and wine for happy hour. If you’re tired of waiting 45 minutes for a table, check this place out! Prices were on the low side for the area, but varied a lot from $9.50 for a hot dog type thing to $30+ for a seafood entree. Oh, and the next night, we stopped in for dessert. Daughter got a root beer float, I got the flavor of the week cupcake cheesecake, which was Heath Bar, featured in the photo.
It was sooo delicious I dove right in and forgot to take a pic before. We ordered to go and had drinks while we waited. Our server was extremely nice and helpful for my daughter and I. The food was ready quickly. Everyone there looked to be enjoying themselves. TV's everywhere. They have a bar but the restaurant is divided so you don't have to feel like you're in a bar if you don't want to. Highly recommend!!!
We had the wings which were breaded but not like hooters. Huge wings. Great flavors. We had medium and kicking bourbon which was a nice flavor. Service was great. I would eat there again.
