The last time I went to Bloomy Rind might have been two years ago, with my mother-in-law, who was visiting from out of town. We got sandwiches then, and they were fine.
Yesterday after buying some earrings for my wife for Valentine's Day at Whitney Gordon's Jewelry a block away, I decided to check out Bloomy Rind once more. What caught my eye immediately was the big bowl of fried rice (with Chinese sausage!) on the counter. And then the big bowl of penne with peas and mushrooms. It was around 1pm and I was starving. So I got a large container of each, to go. And a bowl of butternut squash bisque. Michael was a good foodie salesman! He and Mary beckoned me not to wait another two years to return.
Well, that food served as lunch and then dinner for me. The fried rice was better than my mom's! The pasta had just the right amount of creamy sauce, though I wish it had more mushrooms. Still it was delicious! And the soup? It was heavenly. I will definitely be going back for more! They're open Wed-Sat afternoons, at this time.
A wonderful, friendly, and informative visit. Will be back next time I am in the area.
What a find. Staff knowledgeable, helpful, patient personable and 100% in love with all things cheese.
What’s more to be said? Great place right in downtown Hingham. We’ll be back.
Great bread and cheese = great sandwiches. Price is fair for Hingham and the quality/quantity. Make sure to get something with cheese. Owner is a nice lady.
Walked by and saw they had sandwiches. My son and I both got the butcher with delicious cold meats. I will definitely be stopping back for other items. Tried their cheese of the day too. If i wasn’t heading to work I would have bought more!!! Everyone was down to earth and friendly to my 7 year old and me. Great place!
This place is absolutely amazing and a must visit when I come to the area! It will not disappoint!
