If our first experience is anything to go by, FAV really will be a fav in our books. I had seen a friend post about having breakfast at FAV on Saturday morning, and made a mental note to try it out as soon as possible. Between us, Nick and I have gone to Chabaar and Tea Rose many a time, and they have never disappointed. We arrived around 8:30pm for dinner Saturday night due to some favorable random happenstance, and sat down in a quiet corner to peruse the menu. At first glance there's a nice variety on the menu of meat, seafood, and veggie options. We decided to go with the popcorn pork, cauliflower chimichurri, and lychee curry with grilled duck. If that last one made you tilt your head sideways while a quizzical yet skeptical expression crept across your face, think again, the sweet and slightly tart nature of the lychee just makes this dish something you have to try. Each plate that came out was better than the first, and everything was delicious and beautifully plated.
We were too full for dessert, but Anny came out with a little sampler of a teeny chocolate orange eclair, and a few pieces of sweet roll. The sweet roll is vegan, and all of the pastries are made in house. It was delicious, and I can only imagine how great they taste freshly baked in the morning. But the eclair, that stole the show for me, and reminded me of a pastry version of a Terry's Chocolate Orange <3
All in all, I am so happy and excited that FAV has come to Holladay, and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
Absolutely up to Anny standards! Her recipes and presentation are amazing.
We stopped for Sunday brunch, and everything delivered to our table looked stellar.
I had the eggs Benedict, which she makes with a bed of greens, waffled hash browns with Thai flavors instead of English muffins, and a hollandaise/bearnaise sauce with a citrus kick. Perfectly poached eggs. Scrumptious!
I highly recommend stopping in, it's worth it!
This place was delicious!!! I loved the feel to the restaurant and the fruit was extra good 😊 I highly recommend it
Definitely one of our favorite new restaurants! Owner Anny warmly greeted us at our table and gave us her personal recommendations and explained menu items. We were blown away by the presentation, eclectic and delicious flavors and wonderful service. Especially enjoyed the coconut soup served in a real coconut. We will be back!
Loved the Thai omelet. Never had a Thai breakfast before and this was yummy! I'll return again for another delicious meal!
The Crunch was honestly one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. Absolutely Delicious!
Anny sure did outdo herself here at Fav. The only thing that can be said is that of the 4 meals our party tried we couldn't decide which Fav was our favorite!
Hands down best pho in Utah!!! Green papaya salad...AMAZING!!! Fell in love with the mango sticky rice dessert....seriously crave it! Anny is awesome! She brought us out samples of their house made kimchi, and sauerkraut. So delicious! Also, so in love with their kombucha! FAV Bistro is my family's new addiction!
SOOOOO GOOOOD!!!!!! It was the best beef pho I've had! And the chicken dumplings were delicious! I will definitely be going back!
Very Vegan friendly! The quality here is excellent. Delicious.
My favorite Thai food in Salt Lake. Amazing food and lovely service. The staff were so friendly and seated me right away. I’ve only had takeout prior to my most recent visit. It’s a very mellow and comfortable atmosphere. I asked my server for a dish that best represented the restaurant and he recommended the red curry. Very delicious with such distinctive flavor and spice profiles. The pumpkin curry puffs are also essential. Very good balance of sweet and savory and fried to perfection. Awesome crunch. This is a must visit.
Husband and I took some family out to dinner here. I had THE BEST SHRIMP & GRITS in the valley. Had no idea the house made ice cream we had was vegan…it was that good. The curries are rich and full of flavor…go there! It was a little bit of a wait but it’s worth it, use a little patience and smile. It’s better than chasing down the wait staff and pestering them to sit down like the large group of entitled well-to-do people did who came in after we did.
Go there, slow down, order the plum sake and enjoy!
Just had dinner there with my wife and brother, who has been in Thailand several times, and thinks it is the best Thai food he has ever had.
This place was already excellent, but it has gotten better than ever with the arrival of their new cook, who I was told, just arrived from Thailand.
Is there any way we can give it 6 stars?
Had the beef salad and it was simply amazing. Super bright and juicy I couldn’t stop eating. We also got the yellow curry and it was also delicious. Portions are large and value is great. Will definitely order again.
Great service! Lots of plants. Unique food presentation.
The hostess/waitress was very attentive, and really cared about the experience of each of her guests while I was there.
The plants and spaced out atmosphere was nice and private, in a way.
I got the Pad Thai, and it was served inside what I can only describe as an egg crepe. It wasn't too much egg for the dish though, and I liked the little twist they added to the popular dish.
One of the best Thai restaurants in the area along with their sister restaurant Tea Rose Diner. Offers a collection of other Asian (Japanese, Chinese, etc.) foods but have never tried those. Outdoor patio is nice and service is good.
Delicious food. Not the same thing as everyone else. If your looking for something different definitely give it a try.
