Great place, quality service and - most importantly - awesome food.
We took the table by the water, with sweet view, and ordered KayWest special. Crab’s tail, Mahi Mahi (Ewelina chose Snapper) Shrimps - all dipped in a sauce.
Very big portion and we couldn’t make it. All tasted amazing the only thing shrimps were too hard
We might come back and recommend.
Fabulous. Loved it. The stone crab was excellent. Salads fabulous. Fish fresh. Nice ambience too. Im coming back tomorrow. Not sure why everyone doesn't love it.

5 stars for service alone. Me and my wife popped in waiting for the trolley and the mgr was nice enough to let us try the crab. We came back the next day and bought 4lbs to eat on the beach. They cracked them, gave us lemons and sauce, were extremely friendly. Valet let us park for free.

It was our last night in Florida & we wanted seafood. The reviews do not do Billy's Stone Crab justice because we thought the food & service were great. We called to check for reservations which they don't take like many of the area restaurants but they said the wait was only 20 to 30 min. We actually waited less than 10. It actually took longer to get in the parking lot. There is a lot of traffic in the area.
Our waiter, Franco Mancini, was very good. He "wanted us to be happy" which he said multiple times but he did let me have fried oysters on the broiled seafood platter. He understood my husband's dietary needs & made accommodations. We started with Conch Fritters that were large & tasty. Broiled fish was perfectly cooked. I especially liked the scallops which were not overdone as they frequently are. The side order of broccoli was enough for 4 people which Franco advised it would be.
The prices were in line with other nice Miami restaurants. Without drinks our check for 2 was $100.
There was an interesting mix of small & large parties, regulars & tourist wearing dressy and casual clothes. Since the waiters were in tuxedos, customers in cut-off shorts looked a little out of place but it is the beach. Atmosphere was busy, dark & loud but definitely not stuffy.
Amazing. The best meal! Had Mahi Oscar. So delicious!

Good service, Good food, nice place.. This restaurant is a good place. The food portions are a good in both size and taste.
The staff is friendly and helpful and it is a good location on the water way.
I had a fried combination platter, and while the fish was a bit bland, the crispness was fine and the sides were excellent.
I also had the fried Gator tail. Which is the best Gator I have eaten to date.
A nice place, just be careful with some of the folks who ride by in their boats who are very "expressive."

A pleasant enough place with rather good seafood. Billy's is located on a pleasant Intercoastal waterfront location in Hollywood. It serves luncheon and dinner with its claim to fame being the Stone Crab. The stone crab they served is in fact very good and its indoor market also retails it. It's not up to Joe's Stone Crab of Miami, but unlike Joe's your table is usually ready when you arrive. As everyone knows, Joe's never has anything ready when you arrive, preferring to lead to bar for at least an hour, and that is only if they took a reservation from you.
Basically all of the food at Billy's is nicely prepared, tasty and served in good size portions. It is expensive, not ungodly so, and I thought worth it for what you get.
I particularly like lunch. More reasonable in price, less hassle and sitting under one of the swinging picnic table canopies on the dock provides a nice atmosphere.
As for service, I didn't find that to really be all that good, but at least passable.
Billy's. We had a great meal here of fried shrimp and sweet potato fries. The key lime pie is delicious. Love the view of the intracoastal waterway. The parking attendant was very helpful as well. We were in a hurry- trying to catch a flight in Ft. Lauderdale. They were very accomodating.
Excellent Food. I have never had a bad meal at this bastion of great sea food.
While the stone crab claws are the best in town, the sides and other seafood offerings are top notch.

I was admittedly a little leery about going to Billy's after reading the reviews, but we wanted stone crab, and we wanted close, so we tried it. The parking attendant was charming and the hostess was accommodating. We had a glider table outside. Our server was very polite up until we made our order, and I think it became apparent we weren't going to be a high-dollar table, so she didn't seem as warm/friendly after we ordered, and there wasn't communication across the wait staff that one of us didn't want ice in the water. Atmosphere by the water was pretty nice, although we pulled the curtain closed on one side because the green lantern light was blinding one of our party members. The stone crab was beautifully presented, and the conch fritters were good, as was the side of asparagus we ordered. I'd say all in all it was a good experience, albeit a little overpriced. Had our hostess' hospitality extended into the evening further, I think we would've been even more pleased.

So I went to Miami (stayed in Sunny Isle Beach and the game was actually in Miami Gardens, but y'all don't care about that) for the Orange Bowl. And while I really was there for the game first and the food second this time...I also eat. And I don't eat like normal folk... First stop was a typical Kitchen Geek Random Find. My room wouldn't be ready for about 2 hours and it was lunch time. North on A1A (Beach front avenue!) until I felt like turning. Headed west away from the Atlantic on Hallandale Beach Avenue and started looking. Crossed Route 1 (Biscayne Avenue down this way) and really started looking... Saw a 'bakery,' realized it was Colombian and also looked like a restaurant. Circled the block, checked it again. Circled one more time to get the right parking spot. Vultured the place good. Yubi Bakery. Can't find this place on Yelp, Urbanspoon, or just a simple Google search. I randomly found it. And you want to find it too. Colombian bakery and restaurant. Not a lot of tourist tr
Craving some Stone Crabs, but didn't want to go down to Miami Beach and found Billy's Stone Crabs. Food was beyond amazing, the service was great fast and courteous, we sat outdoors next to the water. We ordered several plates to share, the medium Stone Crabs were so fresh and had so much meat, the lobster ravioli and conch fritters were so good, and the shrimp scampi pasta was very tasty. This has become one of my new favorite places, will be back for sure!

another outstanding experience. Alan was amazing as our head server, but it’s great how everyone works as a team. Stone crabs are fantastic and fresh. You can really tell when they are served fresh and not flash frozen. We also had the grilled tomato’s , fried calamari and stuffed mushrooms. All amazing along with some great drinks.

Service was a good team effort by all staff and we were catered through out our meal. The outside dock seating was enjoyable as most tourists don't like sitting their when the sun is shining, but for us locals it's just normal warmth. The fish dip was wonderful and my snapper/key west -shrimp, crab, avocado topped with beurre blanc and micro greens was fabulous.
I had the best time last evening for my birthday. Billy’s exceeded my expectations. First of all the location is absolutely gorgeous. The views and the restaurant are stunning. The Staff were more than kind and accommodating . Our waiter Ritchie was the best. We enjoyed the seafood tower and conch fritters. We sat outside and enjoyed seeing the tarpons and watching the boats pass by. I’m a local girl who grew up in Miami. I’ve always heard about Billy’s restaurant growing up and how lavish and fabulous it was. Last night I was able to experience Billy’s myself and it over exceeded my expectations. Food amazing. Staff wonderful and location fabulous. Loved my birthday and every minute of my time.
The same quality as Joes without all the annoyance! This place actually has a water view and they have fun rocking tables on their dock you can eat at.
I attended a luncheon at Billy's Stone Crab, and it was my first time in. The view was spectacular of the intracoastal. The restaurant was comfortable and well decorated, warm, and inviting. I'll have to go back for an individual visit, as I was expecting more. The food was OK, and stone crab claws were excellently prepared and served. However, I was expecting a little more. Maybe because it was a large group for the luncheon, there were little details I felt were missed (i.e., finger bowls, service a little slow, etc). But I will return to judge on a more intimate setting.
Always love Billy's. It was Mid July, so it's hot. We sat out on the deck for dinner around 7p. The flies were quite a problem.
The food was good and the service was spot on. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish off the dock.
Although I can't say there was one thing that really just didn't click with me but it wasn't the best experience.
Delicious and fresh seafood. Prices for the stone crab were very reasonable for a restaurant with a nice view overlooking the waters.
We went for an early dinner so just decided to each have the seafood combo for $40 and it was already worth it.

Exceptional service, food & experience!!!!! Our waitress was beyond amazing! Best fried shrimp we have ever eaten. Shrimp scampi was perfection! The key lime pie is out of this world!!!! The swing tables on the water were a great way to enjoy the experience. Sunset was a nice ending to the perfect evening! Run fast to Billy's!
They aren't lying when they say it's a pricy place, but I suppose the old saying "you get what you pay for" is true in this scenario.
Overall we had an amazing experience. Our server Nick was great. Well mannered, soft spoken, patient, and thorough. We explained everything and offered some suggestions when we were on the fence.
Luckily we snagged a table outside with no wait. It was incredible busy when we were leaving though and parking (valet) seemed like it could get ready difficult later in the evening as the lot was quite full.

We showed up without a reservation and were sat outside without a problem, we got lucky as it got pretty busy right after we arrived.
Our server was super nice, we had amazing weather and we asked if they could put the shade up to enjoy some sun and he happily did.

Wow. What an amazing seafood restaurant by the canals. The seafood is fresh and delicious. They bring out a bread basket with keylime honey butter and it is fantastic.
The food is so delicious you almost forget about the beautiful view of the canal as yachts and sailboats come by or the huge fish swimming just below the dock and raise up to feed.
We had a sampler platter with mussels, oysters, shrimp, stone crab. Main course was seafood alfredo followed by the best key lime pie you'll ever eat. Simply amazing meal.
The restaurant is cleans and quiet. Our waiter was attention to our every need.
