Alan Wong restaurant was a fabulous experience. I have eaten at Persé and at French laundry which I find to be the Bench mark for high end food experience. Alan Wong was at par with the best and it exceeded many of those in the service that was delivered with genuine interest and in depth attention to details. Highly recommend this gem in Honolulu.

The 5 course tasting menu was amazing. The seafood lasagna was the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Also the coconut desert was awesome too. The service was awesome, jennifer did a great job with us. I would highly recommend to everyone.

Restaurant Week Hawaii 2017. We had a great view from our table on their lanai. The 4 course menu was delicious and beautifully plated. The flavors were sublime. Table service excellent, attentive, and friendly. I will definitely return to try other food in the menu when I visit Honolulu again. Lastly, coming from Chicago, it was wonderful to have valet service affordable. The gentleman was friendly and quick.

On the short list of best meals of our lives. The tasting menu was the way to go and the staff's passion and professionalism was the icing on the cake! ...or was it the chocolate crunch bars!? Ha, they definitely sealed the deal! The whole dining experience started our trip off with a bang and made it incredibly memorable! Mahalo!!!

We had the Da Bag appetizer, which was clams, chicken, mushrooms, and spinach in a smoky type sauce, that was delicious. Also had the Opanaga fish with macadamia crust and a sauce that was to die for! Then had a chocolate dessert that was incredible also. Great service!

Delicious food and friendly staff. Went above and beyond for our friends’ anniversary. Highly recommend the Da Bag, the Bone marrow for apps. Must order the local fish either the Onaga or the Opakapaka. They were both wonderful.

We went here on the recommendation of a friend to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had a five course meal with an extra desert offering for the birthday girl. The food and service were both top shelf!

If there were 10 stars I would give it 10 stars. From the food to the servic... amazing. I don't have one negative thing to say about Alan Wongs and I I can usually find something negative about everything. Fabulous and everyonemade the experience feel so personal like we were the only customers. Price for the pre-fixe meal was a great value and a perfect way to taste the best of the best.

We had an amazing time! Our waiter Michael was personable and knowledgable. I got the ginger crusted red snapper and it was on of the best dinners I have ever had!

Most restaurants that have a lot of hype about them tend to be just that and you'll sacrifice good service for good food or vice versa. Alan Wong's IS NOT one of these places. Service was great and food was amazing!

Consistently first class experience throughout! It started on the phone making my reservation. Once I identified myself, the woman referred to my wife by name. We have dined there several times in the past. The greeting at reception was warm and welcoming. We were seated right away. Our waiter, Michael, was knowledgeable and helpful... a real pro. And the meal was delicious. I highly recommend that you experience Alan Wong's.

We did the menu tasting with wine pairings. The food was fantastic and all the staff too. We were so impressed by all. Now Alan Wong's is my new favorite restaurant. Can't wait to go back for the twice cooked short ribs.

Good food and impressive service. They will provide a personalized and signed menu for customers celebrating birthday or anniversary here. I tired their menu tasting, which costs $95 per person. It included an appetizer, 3 entrees and 1 dessert. I like the 3 entrees best, especially short rib. We also exchanged one of our desserts to coconut icecream, but that one is not really impressive.

Just the best experience on our anniversary. Simply the best Prix fixe dinner ever! The servers were very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and very attentive. The staff even signed our menu to celebrate our anniversary.

The atmosphere was perfect. The service was impecable and the food was awesome. The portions are the correct size (if not a bit on the larger one). Their drink selection is cool. The location is a bit hard to find. The desserts are creative - they rebuilt a coconut using chocolate and coconut ice cream.

The food at Alan Wong's really is meticulously done and tastes amazing! All the wait staff is extremely courteous and very knowledgeable about the menu and even wine pairings and cocktails. I went for an anniversary dinner and was surprised with a customized menu with our names on it and the signatures of everyone working there and a surprise dessert at the end of the meal. If you have a special night in mind, head over to Alan Wong's and I can assure you, you won't be disappointed

My sister and I joined my best friend and his partner for a valentine's dinner here. They have a special menu set for valentine's and the food, pictures I've added, were delicious. It cost $105 for the dinner and $155 to add wine pairing which was perfect. The service by Mike was amazing - he's attentive, easy to talk to and funny. There is valet parking so you don't have to fuss. However, it costs $7 😆 🙄

Really good food. Shareable portions if you order multiple plates. Unfortunately our waiter was a bit distracted but we noticed other tables getting amazing customer service. The girl helping changing our plates and utensils after every plate was amazing.. she should get promoted to waitress.

This place defines phenomenal. To start it is in downtown honolulu so paying $5 for 3 hours of safe and easy parking with their valet is a great start. When we got up to the restaurant we were greeted by the very friendly staff in a simple yet upscale room. This can't be stressed more, but our server Aaron was one of the best we ever had. Knowledgable, laid back, the perfect amount of attentitiveness, and a slight wit and sense of humor. My wife and I were here for our anniversary, so this place was expensive, but I assure you it is worth every penny. We ordered the prix fixe (I think that's how it's spelled) so we got a bit of everything. Every course was delicious, my personal favorite being the ribs styled after kalbi. They were extremely understanding of my wife being pregnant, substituting raw eggs with something else and cooking her food just a touch more. After we were done, they surprised us with a slice of chocolate cake for our anniversary which was beyond mouthwatering. 6/5 stars of I could, best place I've ever eaten at!

I have dined at Alan Wongs a few times and each visit never disappoints. The casual atmosphere is nice and the service is always on great. The food is delicious and each visit I leave with a new go to favorite dish. I tried their sweet potato lemonade mocktail and it was refreshing and interesting. Reservations are a must!!! Try the tasting menu, it's a wonderful way to try a few dishes for a decent price but the whole table must order the tasting menu.

The best dinner in Honolulu. Must try for one night! The coconut dessert is amazing. So is the food in general. Super creative and the flavors are Hawaiian inspired. The service is also impeccable.

As far as the Honolulu food scene goes, Alan Wong's is one of the better places you could visit for for a great meal and experience. From the time you enter the restaurant, the service is fantastic. The restaurant itself feels modern despite being around for so long. The food... The food is innovative, yet captures classic flavors and simply captivates the palate. All in all the experience here from the service to the food is spectacular.

Great food and service. Definitely recommend the tasting menu but exptect to eat a lot. The wine pairing is definitely a good choice with this. You be feeling very full as the portions a very healthy. My favorite of the tasting menu were the lasagna and the short ribs. I would also recommend the dark vesper from the cocktail menu. I would definitely recommend eating here.

In a spot of the city that isn't too busy, we walked from Waikiki beach and took the elevator up. We were promptly greeted and shown our table. Friendly staff and service throughout the entire meal. The food was incredible and didnt have one bad thing all night. I've attached pictures of all we ate. Worth the price.

Alan Wong’s on King Street is one of the world’s great restaurants, yet it is moderately priced and accessible (you can generally get a reservation with a few days’ notice). This has made Alan Wong’s popular with residents and tourists for decades. The food is fresh, local, and delicious. The ambiance pleasant. The service is friendly, polite, and professional. The menu classics are deservedly long-time favorites. And the new and special items inventive and appealing. We have dined at Alan Wong’s more than a dozen times over the years and always come away delighted by our meal and the experience.

We have eaten at Alan Wong's on two occasions, both pre-COVID-19. RESTAURANT: Alan Wong's is in a surprising location. It is on the third floor of what seems like a small office building. However, the restaurant is very nice inside. SERVICE: The service is some of the best on the island. I rarely could take two sips of water without my glass being refilled! FOOD: We ordered the whole tomato salad, Kauai shrimp "escargot style," da bag, seared day boat scallops risotto, and the coconut. The tomato salad is one of my favorite tomato salads, anywhere! The escargot style is a unique way to eat shrimp. Da bag arrives at the table as puffed up tin foil over the bowl. The server then opens the tin foil to release the steam and expose the clams and kalua pig. The coconut presentation is beautiful and the dish itself is extremely refreshing. ALL-STAR DISH: Whole tomato salad

We went for our wedding anniversary this year and although the service and food was good, it was very crowded and looked like it hadn't been updated since the 90s. We went in thinking it would be a little fancier woth those prices and we were the nicest dress people in the place. People were there in summer beach cloths and there was a child screaming and throwing things while the parents did nothing. This didn't feel like upscale dining. The food: the bread was fresh, warm and served with an aioli spread. It was good. For apps we got the crab cake, which was flavorful, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was small, but you could tell it was made with quality crab. We also had the Kailua Pork infused clams and shitaki mushrooms. It was creative, but the clams werent clean correctly and there was sand in almost every bite. My husband had the surf & turf with a quails egg. Even though the sirloin was tender it was dry. The rice was just average, nothing special. The mustard greens and mushrooms were all fresh, blanched and tossed in a basic sause. The surf part was a local sweet lobster which was good. I had the steamed opal in a white ginger sauce. It was bland the sauce was a must with it or else it wouldn't have been exciting. It was subtle on top of subtle.

4 stars. Tasty food, somewhat slow service with large gaps between courses. The staff was friendly. The restaurant accommodated our birthday reservation very well by printing a custom menu signed by the staff and including a free dessert. There was a discrepancy in our bill, which was resolved amicably.
