The staff was quick and to the point. I wouldn't consider her friendly or knowledgeable on what to recommend. The food was good and served quickly. The salad was on the crunchy side and not my preferred item. The samosa, spicy chili and the kebat were delicious. I didn't care for the pumpkin stew ei
A great Burmese restaurant! We were a group of nine and managed to reserve a table on the same day. It was a feast of rich flavours and spices. We ordered: laphet (the traditional fermented tea leaf salad unique to Burma), mango salad, vegetable samosas, stuffed tofu, chicken biryani, vegetable keba
Hidden gem in Honolulu. I would describe it as a combo of Thai/Malaysian/ Burmese. Inexpensive and always exceptional.
This was my first time eating Burmese so I can't vouch for how authentic it is, all I know everything was delicious. My wife loves Burmese food since visiting Myanmar, so we had to try it.
It's a flavorful cross between Indian, Chinese and Thai food. We got the tea leaf salad to start with, which w
Dagon was a lovely experience, we were sure to make reservations as seating is limited and this is a popular place. Parking was available on the street with no problem either. Our waitress and hostess ( same ) checked our vax cards and IDs and got us seated she was attentive and got us water and dri
One of my favorite place to go.
Food is consistent and friendly service.
Burmese salad is highly recommended. They make fermented tea leaves in-house.
I enjoyed food in Myanmar (Burma) now I continue to have a piece of Burma when in Honolulu.
I recommend making reservations in advance even duri
there were group of us. so we had opp to try a bit of almost everything!! tea leaf salad...must try!! curry's of anykind won't disappoint u with either butter or garlic rice. very reasonable price. appetz around $9-11 any main dish around $14-16
Everything was absolutely delicious and service was efficient
We ordered the Dagon Salad (fresh, crunchy, garlicky) yellow curry with Potatoes and Lamb (tender, flavorful lamb and delicious curry) and the red curry with eggplant which had such a rich, complex, umami flavor to it! Eggplant was cooke
Mainly recommend the soups! The other dishes were good but definitely not as memorable.
Always one of our favorite restaurants. Tea leaf salad is the best. The Dagon tea leaf is not quite as good, but still delicious. The Dagon tea leaf is more crunchy, but more acidic.
Dagon tea leaf salad was excellent! Service was a little slow, but friendly. Neat artwork on the walls. Simple casual byob atmosphere.
Get the Dagon Tea Leaf Salad. It's surprisingly my favorite item on the menu. The palata is also a must. And the pumpkin pork is great too.
We’ve only ever had Burmese food in SF. It was a joy to find a Burmese restaurant in Honolulu. Excellent food and customer service. We always get the tea leaf salad! It’s a must try. I got the coconut veggie curry and hubby had the vegetable fried rice and spicy chili shrimp. 10/10
Fantastic food, and a great place to bring a good-sized group.
The food was excellent, especially enjoyed the dagon tea leaf salad and the coconut curry. One waitress for 13 tables, approximately 50 guests and then she was also running around answering the phone for takeout is pretty ridiculous. 15 minutes passed and she dropped off water and then another 10 mi
We got reservations for a rainy Monday night. The service was excellent and the food amazed! Best food on Oahu so far and best food in a while in general. We had the mango curry which was very flavorful but not overly sweet. The appetizer combo filled us up and the tea leaf salad didn’t disappoint.
We were a party of 8 (reserved table) on a Thursday evening. The service was fast & friendly, the prices reasonable I thought, and the presentation of the dishes was very pleasing and the portions sizes were good.
The dishes were both interesting and tasted good. We tried both tea leaf salads and
