Surprisingly good prices for a hotel restaurant. The Loco Moco is fantastic. I loved the addition of the crunchy onions. The pancakes are huge.
This was my second time eating here. I had a great time. I love their outdoor portion of their restaurant. There's a nice view of the ocean. You have ti pay for parking which was abiut $1 per hour. Great food, my drinks (Lilikui Margaritas) on point. Definitely getting another round. The Atmosphere was great. Wonderful staff greeted you with a smile to make you feel welcome.
The spicy fries are immaculate! I'd come to Hawaii again JUST for the burgers.
Service is still slow due to the pandemic but Christopher more than made up for it!

This little hidden gem by the pool is actually The Modern’s best kept secret. Drinks on point, delicious food ( ate before I could get a picture-lol) and excellent customer experience at every visit!!! These guys do an amazing job and serve up true hospitality!

I didn't see anything wrong with this place to have such low reviews. It's clean, the food was decent and I liked their concept. Order at the register, take a number and seat yourself then someone will bring your food out. Since there is no waiter, you don't have to spend extra on tipping.
