Soffritto - Honolulu - Photo album

Previous owner, Jali, said they have closed down as of the end of last year to retire. New owner in the spot now and runs Aloha Bakeshop.
I can't not get the Gumbo with Shrimp here. Everything else looks great, but it's just too good to resist. Their breads are also excellent. Today's onion focaccia bread was a nice pairing. Has a little spice, but I like to add a little extra kick to mine (pictured). The lady in the front is always k
Amazing weirdo space with great music. The food is so tasty and you can tell it is made with passion. You have to try the focaccia! The specials are amazing and worth finding a little respite in your day. I have never been disappointed and always vow to come back more often everytime I dine in.
I had the unique opportunity to sit down and talk story with the chef after lunch today. Very few restaurants nowadays have the authenticity and Passion for food like this place. If you want to eat some homestyle food cooked by a seasoned chef, this is a Hidden Gem that's hard to find and hard to ge
The food here is absolutely fantastic! Robert clearly knows what he's doing in the kitchen. He and his wife are friendly and warm hosts. This is very much a mom/pop style place with respect to decor and customer service. It's cozy, welcoming, and comfortable. Cannot wait to go back!
Really great food for a really great price. The woman who served us was very sweet.
There’s a small mom and pop place in Chinatown that makes some Cajun dishes the post said. It sounded interesting- especially since I’ve not been out since the pandemic hit island. Turns out it isn’t just authentic Cajun cuisine - several other dishes look enticing. The jambalaya is perfection.
The food here is delicious! The chef has an edge that you see on chefs like Anthony Bourdain. Makes it more fun to go. His wife runs the counter. Super sweet lady. His focaccia is the perfect companion to his pasta. I recommend this place. It is gourmet fare yet unpretentious.
Great food at reasonable prices for Oahu. Service is super friendly. Not sure what some of these 1 star reviews are about, the place doesn't even have a bathroom for that reviewer talking about theirs being dirty lol. Fake news reviews I guess. But just because some snowflakes got triggered doesn't
There’s a few standouts when it comes to fine Italian cuisine here in the islands, but today, we chanced upon this hole in the wall right in the heart of Chinatown! Halfway through, we knew we will be back to sample their other dishes! In fact, we ordered some to take home! We enjoyed the stir fry a
The food there is always delicious and fresh. Today I had a chicken in sauce over mashed potatoes. Heavenly light. I swear there are bits of shaved parmesan in it. Also had their fresh Como bread and dipped it in their olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For $1.00 you get three nice size slices of
I'm from the South and I have to say this is the closest down home Louisiana cooking I've found on Oahu. I had the Etouffee because that's something I don't generally make myself. I was torn between that and the Gumbo, but since I make a pretty good Gumbo I went with the more complicated Etouffee.
Bob’s cooking never disappoints. I usually have their pre-made salads if I want a lighter lunch. My favorite pasta dish is their puttanesca. The pasta is always cooked perfectly and the portion is enough for two meals. Thanks, Bob and Ja Li!
Luv the food, I can order any item on the menu and I know it will be good. The gumbo is my Favorite and the daily baked bread is really great!!!! One day I will try the pizza. Serving Portions are great!
This is a small space but it serves some of the best Italian food on the island. The baked dishes, in particular, are excellent. This quickly became one of my favorite lunch spots downtown.
Had the Berrian soup this time and loved it! Some places just put a lot of pepper, but this one had flavor and just the right amount of heat. Ordered more to take home.
Great gumbo! I eat here at least once a week. The chef and I have have the same taste in music, which makes it even better.
First time here and the sign outside caught my eye... Birria Tacos. Never had it before so I thought I'd try since I'm always going next door to Döner Shack. The birria tacos were surprisingly very tasty. Plate comes with two and a dipping sauce. If it came with three tacos... Perfection! 🤤😋
