Fish Market Restaurant - Hoover - Photo album

For appetizer we had the fried mushrooms, they lacked flavor so we added salt and pepper and they improved. Our entrees were ok. I ordered the special sea bass dish and it was decent. It was a whole fish so it was a lot of work and had to watch out for bones. The grits and asparagus were fine. My hu
A few weeks ago I would never have imagined giving this restaurant such a low score. It's been one of my favorites since moving to the Birmingham area 7 years ago. But my last experience with them may have been just my last. My partner and I both ordered the fish and chips, one of our favorites.
I drove 30+ minutes to pick up my call-in order only to be disappointed and totally unsatisfied. I spent $70 (tip included) on a crab claw entree and an order of crab claw appetizer. The potato to start was soggy and brownish as if it had been cooked and recooked. The crab claws had a strong, overpo
We had a group of 15 for dinner. It was a family group that had not gotten together for several years. Our 95 year old grandmother passed and we were in town for the funeral. She would take us to the fish market when we would come to visit her. Our waitress was great. She was very attentive. The foo
Where do I start, service. We had a party of 14, didn't see the server enough to warrant the mandatory 20% gratuity added to the bill. When our dinner arrived my wife asked for 2 more beers. It was my first time eating at this location. But my experience was awesome! I loved everything about this place. The atmosphere was relaxing, the food delicious ( have to try the Greek salad 🥗. It's the best I've ever had thus far). Our waiter was just fantastic. He came to our table like 2 minutes
We were seated within 10 minutes, on Saturday afternoon. Our server was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu; kept our drinks filled. Food was amazing. Their were 4 in our party, all were well pleased with our entrees. The smoked tuna dip was delicious and the hushpuppies were very good.
The food was very good and service excellent but I would consider it as a splurge because it was a little pricey. I had six grilled blackened shrimp with two sides and tea and it was around $24 with tip. They had some beautiful desserts in a case as we entered.
