Another hidden gem (hidden to me at least). Been there several times recently. Had the pimento cheese burger and fries each time. Going for another today.
Stopped by for the first time to try what I have been total is a local favorite. As soon as I sat down i was greeted in a super friendly way. My waitress recommended the bacon pimento cheeseburger so without question I took her advice. Boy am I glad I did. It was fantastic. I had to ask who made the pimento cheese and they quickly pointed out the young lady who has mastered it. It didn't take much to talk me into a homemade milkshake either. They have the sweetest people behind the counter. Without a doubt Go For It!

Such good burgers, fries, and shakes. Great service! The great thing is you can always count on the same great tastes and atmosphere. This place will always hold a special place in my heart.
Katie was awesome!. We are from out of town and like to eat at local restaurants . We found Green Valley. They had already closed the grill but opened up again so we could have burgers. Our waitress Katie made the whole experience fun! She was attentive , warm and friendly. We will definitely go back for the food and the service!
Good for Breakfast or Lunch.. Rather you are starting your day here or breaking it up at lunch you cant go wrong. It is well know for their handspun milkshakes or their awesomely great, mouth watering burgers. All I know is that I leave stuffed and satisfied. Its small timey feel is unique and is great to have when everything has gone chained these days. I hope they never close.
Green Valley Drugs. I had a pimiento burger with fries for lunch.The burger is meh. The fries were crinkle style. Overall, the ingredients were mediocre and cooked on the griddle. I would go back just for the level of service we received and the novelty of nostalgia. Be prepared to use cash or a debit card.
Old school lunch counter. Great greasy burgers. Vanilla milk shakes is to do for. They don't accept credit cards be prepared.
Everything we have had here has been good. Milkshakes come with a spoon...not a straw. They are awesome! Go and have an eating experience that is pretty much gone...the drugstore counter.
Old fashion burger and shakes. If you want a fantastic, old fashion burger or sandwich, and an incredible milkshake, take a seat at the counter inside Green Valley Drug pharmacy. Been eating here for over 25 years now... Also, don't forget to try their simple BLT, if you're into BLTs.

Lots of History. Went to check out the burger yesterday and fell in love with the 1960s drugstore character with the dented tin milkshake canisters and vintage employees working the flat top grill.
The best cheeseburger in Alabama, maybe the world. Milkshakes are very good as well.

We went to Publix today to get flu shot, 5 people in pharmacy, no people waiting, filled out endless form and was told it be 30 min. Wait! We went for best burger in town at green valley drug store. Asked pharmist mr. Box if we could get flu shot.. done in 5 min. Very pleasant man! And great lunch. Get your vaccines here fast, friendly, efficient and lunch great as usual!!! Thank you.
Best burgers ever! My mom and I have been going since I was little and she's been going since she was in high school. It's a family tradition that we always look forward to!
I really enjoyed my visit to the Green Valley Drug soda fountain. Their burgers are for adults who desire that old-fashioned taste of quality and substance. I recommend their milkshakes as well. If you're in a hurry, you won't have time to fully experience what makes this little restaurant unique. Go when you have time to talk to the women who work behind the counter and observe the other patrons come and go...you'll discover why they have so many regulars who've been coming back for years. The restaurant isn't open on the weekend and it closes at 3 pm during the week.
Best hamburger steak I've ever had! Service was great as well. Haven't been here in 25 years and they are just as good as I remember. Prices are cheaper than most fast food. So worth the visit!
