Smokin’ In Style BBQ. This is a nice clean fairly large place located at 2278 Albert Pike. I knew it must be good as I witnessed one customer after another receive good food and great service. It appears that they have a large and happy customer base. The smoked Sausage was great. They offer several different BBQ sauces at the table. I thought the very mild Sweet Sauce was the best. For Potato Salad, a choice is offered: the ole fashioned kind with mustard in it (which I thought was very good) or a “Smokin’ Baked Potato Salad” that I will try on my next visit. I grew up on Texas BBQ. The Smokin’ Baked Beans simply did not measure up to what I prefer. They were somewhat bland. However, let me assure you that Smokin’ In Style BBQ provides the best BBQ in Garland County. The portions were large and the price was reasonable. The service was great.
Delicious BBQ! The nachos are the bomb! Get them with pulled pork and mild and hot sauces. ☺️ this has to be 140 characters. YUM. This place is great. Super fast service and cheap beer, ya'll😆
You will not be disappointed! Great bbq and fixings all at a very reasonable price! We ordered everything for our high school reunion from them and they did a great job.
Definitely the best barbecue in town--I only wish they were open on mondays!! The smoked sausage is just awesome! Pulled pork is another favorite.
Love it. We have had numerous family reunions catered by this place and everyone loves it every time! We also come here to dine in every time we are in Hot Springs. Love all of their food!! And prices have always been reasonable. We'll continue to come here for good BBQ. It's so much better than the "world famous" place we tried several times!
I always say if a bbq place isn't busy don't stop. Everything was just great. Besides being in a strip-mall everything was some of the best southern bow I have eaten. Ribs were perfect. Not to soft not to tough. Pulled pork great too it's a must stop.
Blissfully Delicious!. Whenever we come up from Dallas, my husband & I can't wait to dive in to this place!, I'm a vegetarian 99% of the time but definitely not when I'm dining here!, It's simply perfect from the sauces to the baked potato salad to the ribs etc. I could go on, the best in town!, to say the least! I just ate there, & it makes me hungry again just thinking of it!
The Sampler. Lot of food at good price - pulled pork very good but brisket could be smoked longer and sliced thicker - - very good choice and will get it again

AMAZING BBQ! I didn't expect what I got. The food was not only great, but the portions were healthy, and there was a great atmosphere. Add in a friendly staff as well as a low price point, I'm an extremely satisfied customer.
I'll definitely be back again, and if you haven't tried Smokin In Style BBQ, then do yourself a favor and take your family there now!!
Smoking in Style is a great place to eat with great quality meats and a high level of training and expertise in the kitchen. I do wish that they had a wider variety of sauces to choose from but I will be eating here a lot. The sauces are just too similar and you only have three or four to choose from. The ribs are to die for and the pulled pork is where it's at.
By far this is the best in Hot Springs , if not the state! Another near by favorite (Bill Clinton's favorite) is much too sweet for my taste. Smokin in Style is just right.
Hands down best BBQ in town!! Blows the "famous" Mcclards out of the water. Try their sausage sandwich with collslaw! Yummmm!

Wonderful. Ate there twice while we were in HS for a week. Everything we got was wonderful. They catered a family reunion for us a few years ago and we thought their food was awesome. Told ourselves that the next time we were in HS, we would eat there - and we are so glad we did. You should see the size of the stuffed potato! Husband had ribs and he said they were delicious. Second time we had pulled pork sandwiches. Well done guys!
Quality BBQ. Ribs were bit overlooked but had great flavor. French fries have nice seasoning. Good value. Will definitely make a return trip next time I'm in town.
Went here at 11:30 on. Thursday. The place was 3/4 full. Glad I got there when I did because by noon it was packed! The ribs are up there with the best I've eaten. They are served "dry" to let let you slather on your choice of four flavorful sauces. The ribs were tender and had a nice "bite". These were truly smoked well with a nice, deep smoke ring. The place is clean and very efficient in getting orders out. You order at the window, pay and they call your number. Economy wise, it was great! I had the 4 rib dinner with baked beans, a giant basket of hand battered onion rings, Texas toast and a drink for under $10. Will definitely return to Smokin in Style when I visit Hot Springs.
BBQ done the way it's supposed to be! From a self proclaimed rib expert, THE best ribs I have ever had, period! Regardless of what you get, the portions are over generous. If you leave hungry, you need to consider a buffet or diet. Prices are low compared to the portions. Super Sampler gives you 6 generous portions of meats and three sides. Plenty of food for three people....don't see where the profit is in this menu item, but that's not my concern. Literally smokes the competition in Hot Springs and I have eaten at them all, numerous times. Just noticed that they are the #1 BBQ joint in Hot Springs, according to the people's choice award in the local newspaper!!!
My favorite ribs in Hot Springs so far. I've been to McClards and Stubby's and neither are as good as Smokin in style's. The have five different bbq sauces you can choose from and their loaded potato salad is delicious. Prices are good and service is very quick.
Excellent BBQ. The only BBQ I've eaten in AR. that can compete with Whole Hog....I've gotten their ribs both times and they were delicious....Order at the counter and they bring it to you.....Prices not bad either....

I'm a fan of barbecue brisket and this place does it well. It's tender, well smoked but not drowned in sauce. I had the plate lunch with smoked in potato salad and a very decent cole slaw.
We both had catfish I had grilled and it was awsome!!! But could not leave without getting ribs to eat during the superbowl !!!! Bests ribs around !
Good Southern-Style BBQ. The BBQ here is excellent....and the selection of sauces is unbelievable. It makes it very easy for each person to have their BBQ "their way". The sides are fresh and plentiful...and the self-serve style keeps things a little more like home. Our favorite thing about this restaurant is the free live bluegrass music every other Thursday night at the restaurant. A small group of local performers get together for a somewhat impromptu jam session right on the dining room floor....and it really makes for a fun evening.
Ribs Taste Comparison. In a recent ribs taste comparison undertaken by me, Smokin In Style has the best ribs in town. They are flavorful, tender, lean, and delicious. The variety of sauces is also a plus, and I like the sweeter one with honey. Overall rating for ribs is number 1: BEST ribs in town!
Update August 28, 2016: Rib quality has deteriorated after death of one owner. Last two visits the food was most disappointing. Ribs were fat, not juicy, over-cooked, and thus lacking delicious taste of Smokin In Style ribs. Onion rings were inedible. Beans good. Chicken was good but a mite dry. Not my fav BBQ place anymore. BBQ sandwiches, chopped, are still good. I won't be going back for a while.
Good pulled pork sandwich. Soggy fries. Seems they use the sauces from Whole Hog BBQ. Worth a visit.
Outstanding food and service!!!!!!!. I was extremely pleased with my visit here. The menu was what you would expect for a BBQ joint, but it was also very kid friendly with the choices as well. My son was very happy with the cheeseburger plate. My wife and I both had the pulled pork plate. The portions were extremely well for the price you pay. The pork itself was so tender that it almost seemed as if you were cutting through air yet so flavorful. The sauces were also very well done. The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable of the product. I took the advice of the lady at the counter to dip my fries in the mustard and vinegar sauce and was instantly hooked by the flavor. This is a definite visit when in the area!!!!!!!

Tons of selections in food and sauces. Try the BBQ nachos or the BBQ chicken salad. Beer at $2 a pitcher and portions so big you need to split makes this a good place to fill up w/ a friend.

Very Good. Smokin In Style is a breath of fresh smoke in a town with such famous competition.
This is BBQ done different: your choice of sauces - sweet, tangy, hot, mustard. You can usually tell when there is a sense of pride in the cooking - and it's there. Meats are cooked to perfection; I detect something different used in either the pre-cooking or cooking process. It's one of those secret-ingredient kind of things. Whatever it is, it is harmonious.
The pricing seems to be a just a little high, but the portions are generous, so that's okay with me. I would call their Sampler Platter the star of their show. Large plate of a little bit of everything - brisket, pork, sausage, ribs, with two sides. It's enough for two people. Mathematically, a $12 platter becomes a $6 platter. (NOTE: see EDIT below.)
Two must-haves: the twice-baked potato salad, and the banana pudding.
The only drawback I have is the service. Yes, it's pretty much a serve-yourself kind of place, but it lacks the "howya doin?" feeling when you walk in. Waffle House it is not. Rather, it's like we've just interrupted someone's day.
But there's not a lot of interaction with the staff anyway, so just pass the ribs and the twice-baked potato salad and I'll be fine.

Paid another visit SIS recently, and I feel the need to make an edit to my review.
I am still a fan of this place, as far as I'm concerned, it's the best. And I've tried all the BBQ places in town.
However, it looks like the owners have done a little shell game with some menu items recently. The Sampler has gone up in price (about $15, I believe), and there's not as much on it as there once was, so it makes sharing a little more difficult if you're real hungry. Also, there has been a "Super Sampler" added to the menu; it's $18.50, and has about what the old sampler platter used to have, maybe just a little more. I understand that food costs have increased in the last year or so, but this is kinda sneaky in my book.
Wow!! The line was extremely long at 5:35 pm on a Saturday during horse racing season. However, we have never ate here and we wanted to see what it was about. I finally got to order at 6:20 pm 😯 I ordered the sampler that had four types of meat; ribs, sliced brisket, smoked sausage and chopped pork. The sampler came with two sides which I got fries and baked beans. I also ordered the banana bread pudding since the people in front of us highly recommended it. The food was given to us about five minutes after ordering which was extremely fast considering how many folks were there. The ribs were outstanding. It had a great smoke ring and awesome smoke flavor without sauce! The rest of the meats were outstanding! The banana bread pudding was beyond good. I highly recommend it as well!!! We will definitely be back!!
Fantastic is all I can say. Its been a long time since I've left a restaurant this happy. The food was great as well as the price and the portions were huge. We will definitely be be back again and again.

The lines where really long but they got everyone in pretty quick. There is two extra rooms for seating. The food was really outstanding.portion sizes were extra large . None of us could finished are food. We were told to try the banana bread pudding so we did. It was awesome. Prices were extremely good.
Every time I have eaten here the product is always perfect, staff is friendly. I highly recommend this place if you haven't tried it and you are in town. Hot Springs lifetime resident and I have had BBQ everywhere. Smokin In Style is the TRUTH!
This is the real deal! Great food. The smoked meats are inxredible. The sample platter is a bbq enthusiasts mouth watering dream!!! Smoked brisket spaghetti. WHAT..... Real "homemade" from scatch banana pudding. It's ALL GOOD!
