Showed up to La Carreta on a Monday afternoon around lunch. Was seated fast and friendly with about 50% of the place filled. Monday is all day happy hour and it is one of the best I have found in Houma. 3$ for a 22 oz beer. Pretty solid. Complimentary chips and salsa. To be clear this is Mexican Ame
The food is good but the portions are very small. It’s very over priced for the amount of food you get. My chimichanga looked like it would have been a kid’s meal and the fajitas had more veggies than meat- disappointing.

Great atmosphere.
The food was hit and miss. My husbands chicken was wonderful, but my shrimp was dry and bland. The waitress forgot to bring out the appetizer and I had to remind her when she brought our meal. It seemed like she was too busy or distracted to serve our table though the restaurant was fairly empty. Th
