Last night my son and I walked in for dinner after an evening at Levy Park (which is located directly behind the restaurant, for those unfamiliar w the area), this was our 1st visit to Kiran's and I felt terribly underdressed as we were in Astros T's & shorts and quickly noticed this isn't your average kid-friendly restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere and fine-dining, but nonetheless we were politely greeted, seated, and then served by an outstanding and knowledgeable waiter. He was so attentive and helped us in selecting our meals.. so many tasty choices on the menu. This was the best Indian food I've eaten, amazing food and flavors, everything was so delicious! We had biryani, chicken tikka masala served w saffron basmati rice pulao & veggies, chicken kebabs, naan, and the mint lemonade (which was refreshingly amazing)! Will definitely be returning and look forward to trying their afternoon tea offered on Saturdays.

Great food, great atmosphere and a welcoming staff. Thoroughly recommend trying some of the Indian Street food options as an appetizer & the naan breads are a treat. A favourite haunt whilst visiting Houston.

If you’ve never tried Indian food, this is the place. If you love Indian food, but haven’t tried Kiran’s, this is a must try. Either way, you win! Great food, presentation and wait staff; and Kiran greets everyone like a regular.

The new look is very trendy. Several small but nuanced changes as well the modern decor present a completely different environment. Although not as traditional in appearance, the food is still by far the best of its type in Houston. Their menu has a bit more innovative selections( hence " fusion"),but essentially the traditional fare is still the best part of the experience and what most of us come for. Always excellent service. The piano in the bar is a nice touch!

Chef Kiran organized an amazing menu for our group of 12, with requested old favorites supplemented with fantastic new items. And the deserts, simply amazing. Coupled with great service from the always friendly wait staff, it made for a memorable night.

Kiran's offers a sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance, where you'll find a mix of casually dressed patrons and those sporting Kentucky Derby-worthy attire. The fusion of Indian and British elements creates a unique and memorable atmosphere. The tea selection is outstanding, with Darjeeling and Masala tea standing out as top choices. The real highlight, however, lies in the delectable afternoon treats that boast an Indian twist. From the flavorful bites to the delightful sweets, these unique creations truly make the experience at Kiran's unforgettable. Whether you're a tea enthusiast or a food lover seeking a distinct fusion of flavors, Kiran's is a must-visit destination.

Food is excellent, ambience is amazing. Loved the taste of food. We tried Punjabi thali, Shrimp malabar, Lamb Biryani and Chocolate Hazelnut cake. The dessert tasted so so good! Looking forward to try the afternoon tea menu in future! There was live music played which enhanced the ambience even more. Beautiful interior decor. They have free valet parking, we paid parked in the garage though without realizing.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Kirans. Every dish was spectacular in presentation and taste. The atmosphere was extravagant and the service was second-to-none. I highly recommend you try the Kheer and Chicken Chaat...you won't believe how amazing they taste.

Phew where to start! Had a lovely Monday night experience here and was honestly surprised at how much I enjoyed everything. Service: service was top! Before seating, we were taken care of at the bar before our whole party arrived. The bartender gave great drink recs and was so great to talk to. Once seated, our server Sage, took care of us efficiently and had great recs when we needed them. Food came out at a timely manner and sometimes the curries look alike but every dish was explained to us. Taste: The food surprised me. I remember coming to Kirans many maaaany years ago and thinking it was ok (mostly because I don't like Indian food 'fused' with anything). This time however, the food was quite authentic in my opinion. The vindaloo was delicious and spicy as it usually should be, the madras had a deep curry flavor, and the prawn was super flavorful. Overall the food was 5/5 for me, really impressed with it. Is it expensive for Indian food? You could argue yes. Unreasonable? No. Between the 9 of us we got 8 curries, 5 appetizers, a dessert and a few drinks and didn't break 100 per person. Quite reasonable and worth the money to be honest. This might not be the case in the event of a date or a small group so take that in mind. I would recommend this place for larger parties to get your moneys worth or as a special celebration dinner where you don't mind splurging. It's a gorgeous restaurant with delicious cocktails and a good wine list, you are paying for the experience. Will be returning!

For special occasions and exquisite Indian food, go to Kiran’s at 2925 Richmond. Every dish we ordered was delicious—lamb korma, rhogan josh, chicken tikka marsala and Butter chicken. The chef prepared a special dosa with lamb and lentils that was divine. Taj Mahal lager beer was refreshing. Birthday dessert was delicious. Chef Kiran Verma, a 2023 James Beard Semifinalist for Best Chef Texas. Expensive but worth it!

Ordered takeout. Palak paneer, garlic onion lacena naan. Amazing. Very authentic taste of the palak paneer. I got spicy and it was spicy. Perfection. The roti is good but could be softer. The mango lassi was perfect. I wish I would've received a straw as I requested on the order but nonetheless I could taste the flavors. Would love to return to this place next time I come. I returned! Sat in at the restaurant this time. Its a wonderful experience. This restaurant is so high class and feels wonderful to experience this once at least. The seating arrangement itself is so comfy! The food is just so delicious! The keema tastes so authentic and tasty. The chicken tikka sauce was great. Love the garlic naan. The saffron rice is perfect. Great wine options also! Sweet staff. They are just so kind! You need to come here if youre in Houston!!!!!

The indian-french fusion is delicious and so unique you won't find anything like it anywhere but here. Sage was our server and he did an amazing job! He helped us choose an array of dishes to share them family style, from the appetizers to our desserts. The chef came out to the dining room to say hi and make sure everything was good. This is one of those places that you'll get cravings for.

Beautiful dining areas. Attentive staff. I prefer the taste of other Indian restaurants I've been to, but we particularly enjoyed the pani poori, mango lassi, and the chocolate mousse dessert. The entrees can easily be shared between a couple people. I think that might help anyone balking at the prices. I did like that the Thali made it easy to try several dishes, though. Valet service is $8, credit card only.

The food is tasty and does not feel unhealthy because of less vegetable oil. Quantity is more than what you would expect. I have never raten a softer Tandoori Roti and Naan. I ordered Saag Paneer that was delicious. Don’t miss Gajar Halwa in desert. Parking: it’s in the building that is paid parking. There are some spots outside but those are usually occupied.

I had a fantastic experience dining at this Indian restaurant! The food was delicious and there were so many varieties to choose from. The restaurant looked grand and had a bar on site, which was a nice touch. The employees were very welcoming and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

the service was amazing, our waiter constantly checked on us and was friendly. the food was good! my bf ordered chicken tikka and I had a spinach paneer. we also ordered rice to split and garlic bread. we ordered an appetizer, my bf loved the potato patty with the spices. the chicken tikka was really great, if it would have been cooked a little more to where it’s more tender. but he gave it a 9/10. my paneer was good but I would have preferred the spinach to have still been a little intact. it was more of a spinach smoothie with pieces of cheese. it lacked flavor for me. we also ordered the chocolate cake for dessert and my bf loved it, he said it was the best he’s had. the atmosphere was great. it’s a good date night spot, we saw some people celebrating birthday and lots of people with their kids but the kids were disruptive. over all the experience was great my bf was the one who loved the food. it would be 5 stars but I barely ate my dish it lacked flavor. other than that, it was great.

Hard for any restaurant to live upto the hype when you’re a New Yorker who’s been hearing about it for a decade from a friend who insists “it’s worth a trip to Houston.” Well, I finally made it to Houston, and made it to Kiran’s and I have to say I was blown away. Am already looking for excuses to return to Houston so I can make a return visit here. It’s a Texas-sized restaurant (seemingly endless sections of spaces that I didn’t get to explore) and I had one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. From the outside door with a giant K in Hindi script to the open kitchen where chefs were hard at work to the overall decor, everything is so tastefully put together. The wall of fame is an appropriate mix of well-known Texans and visiting Indian celebrities (hello, CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta). I had originally booked a table for six for Saturday lunch, but we ended up being 14 and they kindly moved us to their community table, a nice long table with plenty of elbow room. Their private party room was already booked (besides, it seats 12). We let our wonderful waiter guide us with a series of appetizers that ranged from traditional Indian items to fusion items, including naan-pizza combos (naanzzas). Every item was delicious and it was a dizzying array of tastes, flavors and aromas. Can you believe we ate so much we didn’t even get to a single entree? Will have to be back to try them! We did try multiple, excellent desserts. We had several vegetarians amongst us, and we seated them together on one part of the table. They had plenty of options and were very happy. A friend with specific allergies called ahead and they made him a special plate. Am sure you want specific item recommendations, so here goes, from memory two weeks later: calamari; lamb belly; chicken wings and lollipops; lamb samosas; chili tikka; mushroom medley; chaat; margherita naanzza; garden naanzaa… the list goes on. Owner and chef Kiran Verma and her daughter and co-owner Puja came by to say hello. As we applauded, we asked her why she hadn’t started a branch in NYC yet. She said she was concentrating on perfecting this restaurant. She said she travels to the top restaurants in cities like NYC (Le Bernadin is a fave) to make sure she’s keeping up with world-class restaurants… They should be visiting HER to make sure they’re keeping up! Adding it to my list of #25MemorableMeals. I will be back.

The high tea is now $65 pp. The sandwich bread was hard and dry with very little filling. The high tea food is usually excellent but our experience this time was very disappointing. Hope they do not continue this quality. I'm not sure I will return for high tea again. This used to be my favorite place for high tea.

Recently visited Kiran's for a friend's birthday dinner. We ordered a myriad of dishes, but I ordered the Punjabi Thali that came with naan and a mango lassi. The interior decor is definitely on the upscale side and our waiter was very attentive! The food itself was excellent, service exceptional, and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. The menu items are definitely on the pricey side - $64 for what I took pictures of. But for the level of service and quality of food given, it's well worth it. I highly recommend celebrating milestones here! A word of advice though - DO NOT PARK AT LEVY PARK. There's always a security guard there, rain or shine, that will call a towing company to get your car if you don't visibly walk to the park. Towing will run you $275 and they're very quick. Park in the garage ($5) attached to the building or on Wakeforest and you'll be fine.

I would highly recommend this place, food was very delicious and service was top notch, Neat and clean place. We ordered couple of dishes but trust me Medley of wild mushrooms, salmon and chicken jalfareezi was excellent.. so fresh and juicy. Once you entered in the restaurant premises you feel privileged.. they are so professional.

I don’t have words to describe experience at this place. First, food is absolutely authentic and delicious, so far the greatest experience for Indian cuisine in Houston. Huge selection of drinks with bar available. Service was stellar: I have to say Sage (apologies for possibly wrong spelling) was amazing, but what really made my night was executive chef who came to make sure my girlfriend has everything fine due to dietary restrictions. Not only came, but dedicatedly explain food ingredients, enjoyed meeting us and made this experience even greater!! Valet for $8, nice atmosphere and great location! Will come back soon!!
