My husband and I have been coming here for years for Anniversary, Mother's Day, Birthday. Last night we celebrated my mothers 87th birthday at Sorrento's. They did not disappoint us. The waiter, Sergio, who has been there foreverr, made mom feel so welcomed and special. He noticed she was having trouble cutting her meat. He stepped up and asked if he could cut it for her. He did. Then we told the Sergio it was her birthday. He brought out a beautiful birthday dessert while the piano player played Happy Birthday. The staff excellent and the food was wonderful. We had beef braised rib and squash ravioli.

Eventho i went for a work meeting, everything was fantastic, the waiters very friendly and inviting, the piano playing in the restaurant was soothing....we did have to ask for bread twice but not a big deal, the valet attendant was professional and overall a cool place. I highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place, the service, top notch, the food, exquisite, I have never been disappointed, I try to go at least once a month.

Sorrento Ristorante is one of favorites. From the attentive valet to the welcoming host desk we have superb service and most importantly delicious food. I love the beet & orange salad, my husband enjoys the Caesar salad, then the Cippino oh my! Huge mussels, plump tasty shrimp with fish, calamari and clams in a sauce that is spicy and so good. I love the wlld salmon topped with a shrimp in a tasty marinara. They are so willing to work with guests we need dietary tweaks to the menu items. Did I mention the bread and baked garlic... yum! Intimate setting for a lovely evening.

This is our go-to place for special occasions. Best service in town. And wonderful food

I loved everything about this restaurant, the food, the wine, the service, the ambience were all amazing, and we got seated in the wine room which was so beautiful! Parking was easy... valet!

Beautiful and classy restaurant. Valet parking available. The service was amazing. All of the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the mussels and duck and risotto out of the cheese wheel. A server will walk around the with a platter of various fresh breads to dip in tasty herb oil. Great experience and zero complaints. Everything was perfect!

We moved to Houston in March of 2023 after having lived in New England for 2+ decades. Since then we have visited many restaurants in Houston but none Italian because we didn’t think we could find a great Italian place after having been to incredible Italian restaurants in Federal Hill and dined at the finest of RI and MA’s Italian offerings. But boy were we WRONG! Sorrento was an absolute stunner. Our incredibly warm and affectionate waiter Sergio started the proceedings with a huge selection of breads each one looking more exquisite than the other. He went through each and I opted for one of each and not one of them disappointed. I ordered the Cremini Ripieni (stuffed mushrooms with crab meat and roasted red peppers). It was beautifully balanced and my wife and I devoured it with gusto. The Caesar salad my wife ordered but it’s mark - Fresh, Crisp, Simple - the hallmark of a great Caesar salad. For entrée I went with sea diver scallops with lemon crab risotto in saffron sauce while my wife went for the lobster tortellini with lemon cream caviar. We shared the dishes and could have had another of each next the flavor balance in each was perfect. They felt light and portion size was perfect. The stars of the dishes - scallops crab and lobster all shone through while the sauces and risottos enhanced them without drowning the authenticity of the seafood. Finally for dessert my wife went with the double chocolate cake with vanilla gelato while opted for Italian bread pudding with white chocolate, raisins, Berry compote, and orange cream. We once again shared both and absolutely loved both. Perfect level of sweetness, sauces complimenting the desserts to perfection, decadence at its absolute finest. Usually deserts have us feel food while eating while creating an unpleasant feeling after due to excessive sugar content and other undesirable ingredients. Both these desserts made us feel happy and satiated during and long after. As incredible as our culinary and gastronomic experience at Sorrento was, the service from Sergio trumped it. He made us feel like family. We loved Sergio and his service made us feel like we were home with our family being taken care of with the utmost love and affection that never felt like we were in a restaurant with someone we met for the first time. We are looking forward to many more meetings with Sergio. A special shout-out to Pedro and the owner as well for greeting us, checking on us and helping Sergio. Truly caring environment and place that must be cherished.

I have dined on great food in almost all 50 US States and several European countries and I am blown away every time I am in Houston and have the opportunity to dine at Sorrento's Italian Ristorante! This is a favorite among my family and friends in Houston for a reason. The food is incredible and the waitstaff is attentive and experienced. My favorite is Sergio Vazquez! He is the best waiter in Houston...no joke! He is always thinking ahead of what we need and I have requested him for over the last 8 years! You have got to taste the food and be served by the best! Abbas, you have set the bar high on quality and service! Cheers!

My husband and I made a reservation here for our anniversary, and we couldn't have made a better choice: the atmosphere is very cozy and romantic, the staff is super friendly and attentive, and even though we ordered very basic plates (fried calamari, pasta and meatballs, and a salad for me) everything was delicious, and very well presented We even got a complimentary tiramisu. It exceeded our expectations and will definitely be returning.

Great Service always! simialry the food is great I personally like fish and the branzino is perfectly done. The risotto could be better in my opinion overall I highly recommend trying it
