Private Event
I was invited to a private dinner event here. The restaurant is very nice and spacious. Plenty of tables and private rooms. We were seated in one of the larger rooms on the second floor. Service was very professional. My filet mignon and drinks were good. This is definitely one of the better steakhouses in downtown Houston. If I am ever in the area again, I would for sure consider eating here to try some other items on the menu.
Brilliant is the word! For food, for drinks. The steaks were done brilliantly while each of the two desserts I had were in a league of their own. It's one of the best places to visit in the downtown area.
Very good but not great. We had III Forks salad which was excellent. The brussel sprouts were also fantastic. Our steaks were good but a bit dry. The pork chop was very good and tasty with a great balsamic bbq sauce. The chocolate ganache cake was huge and very nice.
Several weeks back I went to III Forks on the last weekend of Houston Restaurant Weeks. If you recall from my first Houston Restaurants Weeks post, this was one of my favorite places from 2014’s Houston Restaurant Weeks. Great service, great portion sizes and great food. My foodie group and I decided to ring in one members’ birthday month with a trip to III Forks.
Came here for a work dinner, and it's pricey so recommend that if possible! Definitely need reservations. The crispy brussel sprouts were a bit dry, but the pasta and redfish special was divine! The steaks are awesome and the 7 layer chocolate cake is bigger than your head.
Wow! This was a treat! Dinner before concert & everyone loved it. Best steak I've ever had in a restaurant, seafood appetizer was the wife's entree & was delicious. Great waiter. Fun atmosphere. Only negative was the ahi tuna appetizer, it was a little boring. Otherwise, as wifey said "We're going back!"
By far one of the best Restraunts I've been to for a while. We sat at the bar and Brandon was unbelievable. He is the best bartender I've ever met. Give this guy a raise!!!! Six thumbs up!!!
Better than I expected..... Had never been to III Forks, so during Houston Rest. Week, we decided to give it a try.... very good choice!!! The service was beyond excellent, and the attention to details was great. Our server knew the menu with explicit detail and everything he suggested was wonderful. Our table had the Lobster Bisque and III Forks Salad, both were outstanding, but the salad won out; Chateaubriand with Shiitake Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce and Flounder with Crawfish Ancho Chili Beurre Blanc were the two main courses, and again outstanding but lean toward the Flounder; between the table we had all three deserts offered, the Mandarin Orange cake was the best of the lot, but all were moist and flavorful. III Forks is permanently on our list. Good Job!!
How could such a great restaurant have roots in dallas? Oh well, it's nice to know there's something good to come from dallas; we'll try not to hold that against III Forks.
Business Meeting. The food and service was outstanding, I had III Forks salad and the rack of lamb. The other member of the table had steak entrees and all of them praised the preparation. Like every other steak house in the US the sides are ordered family style which we ordered the mushrooms, asparagus, and the sweet potato hash which were all delicious. The wine list was complete, plenty of wines to choose from within all price ranges. The only issue we had was space, we were seated near the bar and the table was small for our meal, we literally had to move our plates to pick up the wine glasses. It is a small detail, but an unpleasant one when you are enjoying a fabulous meal.
A side note, the desserts were also on note, the portion size of the cakes are huge, so I would recommend sharing them. I will return for future business meetings.
Best pork chop in town, hands down. Service...... When your food comes out you feel like you are sitting at a royal table, everyone gets their plate at the same time, 4 waiters serving sides with an A+ presentation, the most perfect service I've ever received. Scallops to dye for, grilled 1/2 chicken over a reduction sauce. THIS IS A MUST TRY RESTAURANT. A+
Great food. Service was acceptable. I will return.

Wonderful!!. Absolutely loved this place. The lamb chops I had was wonderful, my husband had the pork chops and still talks about it today, great wine list reasonable prices and nice atmosphere.
Great steaks. At lll forks i had the tomahawk ribeye and split it with my wife and the words that came out of our mouths were wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very Impressive. I am a steakhouse junky. I was pleased with the steaks at 3 Forks from the last time I had dined there a year ago. I recently returned and was blown away by the service we recieved. I was hopeing these guys would find their niche and they have. The evening was fantastic and our server catered to our every need. The bone-in-filet that my wife order was the best steak I have had in Houston. I'll be returning to order it for myself.
Fabulous Find. I came to Houston for a convention the other week and knew little about the area or dining in the city. The hotel conciere recommended III Forks and it was fantastic. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed and well taken care of. The atmosphere was sophisticated and the food was delicious. The superior service definitely topped off my whole experience. I can't wait until my next visit to Houston and to dine at III Forks again.
Wow. What can I say. From entering the restaurant I was impressed with the dual wine cellars. Went on a date and she was blown away as well. The food was spectacular. (bone in file w/ soft shell crab topping) and our server (eppy) made our evening absolutely memorable. I will definitely go back.
Gem in Downtown. 2nd time in a week, this place is our new watering hole, as seasons ticket holders at the theatre, the III Forks courtesy shuttle is an unbelievable hidden treasure. Have a great dinner and drinks and get chauffered to the theatre, what a service. Make sure you get Joel, truly one of the best waiters in Houston. He has made it a point to make us feel welcome, and treated us like royalty. In a town of great eateries, this place stands out for the both service and food. Finally downtown houston is starting to become the cultural gem we all die hard houstonians knew it was."
Let's Go Back!. I eat at steakhouses at lot. In Texas those are the places to go for sleek business dinners and for special occasions. I took 2 clients out on Thursday and I am so appreciative to III Forks for the service they showed us. They really 'wowed' my clients who had not been to the restaurant before. What I love about this place is that no matter what you are looking to eat, be it a 32 oz steak or fish, they do it all perfectly. The wine list is extensive and if you aren't a wine buff they have a wine master on site as well as great price points. I will definitely be back...I think my clients are considering doing their holiday party here! That's what I call an impression!
What an Amazing Evening!. This is truly an outstanding steakhouse! My sister and I took our brother and his girlfriend our for his birthday. The food was great and the service was comparable to the most highly regarded restaurants in the city. They made Nick's birthday special and we all had a great time. The restaurant is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a special evening!
Juicy steak. The steaks are outstanding .favorite place downtown
Great Food, Great Night. My wife and I were in town for our anniversary and the hotel suggested III Forks. We had the best time! The restaurant is beautiful and the food superb! Definitely will be going back on our next trip to Houston. I was also impressed that they provided a shuttle for downtown, as we were attended the symphony after dinner. It was nice not to have to take a taxi!
Perfect for business. Great place to talk business and have a great steak with wine. the wine cellar is awesome. in the heart of downtown. took the boos there. we enjoyed the place and the food was delicious. was not so loud which i really enjoyed. will return again soon.
Great steaks!!!. Had a wonderful time at III forks. this is the only place that ca actually cook a steak. service was wonderful. could have not asked for a better dinning experience
I loved the tomohawk ribeye, the juiciest steak ever. The staff was very professional and friendly and I can't wait to go back.
Above all steakhouses. Great food, great service, and great ambiance.
service was spot on. Dinner was prepared to perfection, and the eve with my girlfriend was very romantic
i recommend this place to all for a wonderful time
Great Service, Enjoyable Evening. I went to this place on a Saturday night. It was a table of around 20 of us and we received great service. The food was wonderful. My steak was cooked perfectly. We all enjoyed the evening!
Was not super impressed the first time I stopped in. I went again tonight and everything was great. The ribeye was flavorful, the potatoes a little crisp but has excellent flavor. The scallops we had as an appetizer were amazing. Overall a great experience.
Excellent! Thank you Elias (our waiter) and the rest of the staff for your hospitality and the Birthday cake. The meal was Excellent! Special Thanks to our Chef. The pork chops, the mushrooms, cheesey potatoes and fried brussel sprouts, Yummy! Oh , the French onion soup. Fabulous! We will be back.
First time to 3 Forks Houston, had only been to the one in Dallas. This was just as amazing, filet cooked perfectly around 135 for me. Great wine selection and cocktails, atmosphere and service. Use valet on left hand side of the street coming toward restaurant.
Excellent food, even better service. A ceiling vent was dripping onto our table and they immediately moved our group into a private room and added on freebies all night to apologize. Above and beyond in our opinion. The Filet mignon melted in your mouth and every dessert option tasted like it could've won a master baking show. The pre-dinner drinks at the bar were all well made ratio wise, perfect taste.
The food was delicious. We got there and they were about to close the grill since it had been slow (Black Friday) but the chef kept it open just for us. The bartender Gabby was friendly and made us her signature drink which was fantastic. Will definitely be back soon!
Very elegant with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was great and the staff was extremely professional. The wine selection is ine of the best I've ever seen.
Excellent customer service! The manager Karlee went the extra mile to satisfy us by finding a table even though we didn’t have reservations. The food was also pretty good I had the 6 oz filet and my wife had the pork chop. The steak was cooked to perfection!
It pays off to pay a little more for your entree. Noticeable difference between Waygu and Prime cuts. You will fill up on bread, salad/soup and steak. Appetizers are good but you may not have room for all of it if you start with one.
Danielle, was a great waitress, food was awesome and the steaks was awesome.. definitely will.be back
The service if out of this world, while the steak is melt of your fork. Please treat yourself. I guarantee it will be one of the best steaks you've ever had!
Service was outstanding lobster bisque was delicious steaks have space for improvement
Delicious and tender ribeye steak, yummy pasta and shrimp, and grilled Brussels sprouts to die for.
Not very good vegetarian options. The desserts were commendable though.
The food and wine was phenomenal. Gordon was excellent and made great recommendations for both food and drinks. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you.
Amazing food & amazing staff. Tim was super nice and friendly. It’s a pricy place, but worth going.
First time dining, the experience was amazing. The decor is a very romantic setting. The lobster bisque was full of flavor. My steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the menu and was charming. If you are looking for a great date night start here.
This place is absolutely incredible, to the point where I have to make the conscious effort to keep expletives out of my review. Came here for my birthday, and the food was absolutely delicious. They didn't do anything special for it, which was a little disappointing. A manager RAN out to see us as we were leaving, apologized profusely, handed us his card and asked us to come back. That level of customer service is incredible, as well as being incredibly rare these days.
Independently of that, the food is absolutely incredible, even to the point of thinking the steak might be a mistake. My wife and I made a meal of the appetizers. The cheek and marrow appetizer in particular is one of the most delicious things I've had in my life, and of a significant enough portion that if you aren't particularly hungry this is a meal.
In short, food is delicious, service is incredible. This is an expensive spot where you get what you pay for.
